>>97391741There's an extremely non-core set of spells I adore called Breathball and Breathdoom, level 6 and 9 respectively, I believe. Breathball converts any breath weapon the caster possesses into a basketball size swirling orb of smog that hangs in place for a few minutes. Anyone that comes within range sets it off, releasing the full effect of the breath weapon in a Fireball sized burst. Breathdoom is similar but has fewer restrictions, higher damage cap, is permanent, and is invisible.
>>97391741not all of these are spells, a couple are homebrew, but here you go
>>97391463Command is pretty rigid in its options. Approach, Drop, Fall, Flee, and Halt is all you're gonna get. Obviously context can make those have more implications, such as "Fall" on a flying creature or "Drop" when the target is dangling from a rope. But this isn't Suggestion or Geas.

what's the best tabletop rpg if I want to make a campaign that's basically a shonen anime style tournament?
>>97382224What happened to the JRPG thread?
>>97373930Unironically D&D 4e, followed by FFd6 and 3D&T. Reskinning D&D 4e to YYH would be trivial.
>>97392082I think they still want RP elements
>>97392195RP elements for shonen anime style tournaments like YYH's Dark Tournament are mostly what the class powers assume their personalities are. From that pic alone Bui is a strong silent type, the Toguros are a powerful no-bullshit man and a scheming rat, Sakyo is a calm Yakuza type, and Karasu is a goth weirdo. I'd say you could easily play these characters, in character, as 4e classes, maybe a defender, striker, controller, leader and another controller/striker hybrid. If OP doesn't mind the medieval setting he can use it right out of the box, with anime images from some booru for character and location art. 4e like this was by far the animest anime TTRPG experience I had at least (that didn't involve a clear main character), though I won't say I tried too many systems. It does take some reskinning though, but if OP wants a more specific polished setting closer matching to his tastes he should just go after the official (or best unnoficial) TTRPG of what looks closest to his favorite anime.

I've found from the grapevine that Jes Goodwin is soon to retire from Games WorkshopHe really is the king. His concept sketches and absolutely timeless work on mk7 Space Marines and the Eldar particularly are worthy of the highest praise. His influence will be sorely missed, though with how miniatures are often 3+ years in the pipeline before being seen on shelves, his legacy will continue.
>>97367399The last one almost destroys his entire legacy

>>97375094>Isn't Mark 10 visually nearly the same thing as Mk 4 'Maximus' armourMark 10 copied the grille pattern from Mark 4 but the 10's face is completely flat (flatter than any armour mark) while the Mark 4 has a very distinctive "snout" that IIRC is only beaten by Mark 6's beak, which gives it a very different appearance to the Mark 10. I can see where the confusion comes from though, those Imperial Armour front profile views that you see all over the place don't capture the 3D-ness of the Mark 4 very well and make it look more similar to the Mark 10 than it actually is.
97374627Doesn't even deserve a (you), fucking amateur hour.

Why is there so much whinging about 'No Games' on this board? I understand that those who come here solely with the intention of discussing tropes and the like can be frustrating to deal with, but there seem to be some folks here who make it their mission to drop bursts of negativity in threads they should've known would enrage them. And even in these threads that hold more general discussion, I don't see how nearly all of them are not at least tangentially related to traditional gaming.

Welcome to /wbg/, the official thread for the discussion of in-progress settings for traditional games. Here is where you go to present and develop the details of your worlds such as lore, factions, magic and ecosystems. You can also post maps for your settings, as well as any relevant art (either created by you or used as inspiration for your work). >>97391980>you can cast this mid level spell once per day :DGive a martial powerful spell casting features and watch as he starts to do far less martial stuff throughout the game. Same deal with stuff like the Wand of Fireballs.>Do you treat every single class feature, spell, and item in the game with more than one usage in the game this way?No, because that’s already working in combination with other options and trade offs that compete for a lot of those features, since they draw from the same pool of resources (spell slots). Enspelled weapons give a singular spell with its own resource with a pool that’s way too deep, and every single time I’ve been in a game or DM’d a game where someone had an enspelled weapon/armor/whatever, the flow of combat just became spamming that one thing over and over because why wouldn’t they? It’s an entirely different pool of resources that still regenerate at an exceptionally high rate (3.5 charges per day average, fully refilled with a modicum of downtime). The only thing I will grant you is that Summon Dragon isn’t exactly a spell that you cast turn after turn, but even then, once per day is more than enough.

>>97386643>>97386798>>97386945Rules for PC creation haven't applied to NPCs since 3rd edition, and even then a lot of the writers at the time treated elves and drow and dwarfs and such as generally superior to humans even if the rules didn't always reflect this I think the best way to look at it is that a mid-level player character could represent an above average elf, tiefling, or genasi, or a well above average dwarf, or truly exceptional human or halfling Obviously there would be some nuance, like a mid-level gnome wizard would be considered uncommon, but a mid-level gnome fighter would very rare
