>>97839923Is it, or rather is it thrown out as a thing that supposedly exists by the books or writers or just by random people talking about Exalted? >Utterly countless space marine/imperial guard STL files to the point of overflow >Look around for anything xeno like eldar corsairs or tau>like 10 Is this fanbase too imperial sided? Even 3d printing is marine bloated
Marines sell well for a reason (the space knight is clearly a popular look) and between that and the Guard you can cover an awful lot of SF aesthetics.Eldar and Tau especially have a more specific look to them, though Tau obviously slot into a cleaner, more streamlined universe style. I wouldn't be surprised to find a lot of not-Nids out there either, bugs are bugs.I find there are a few slaaneshi daemons, but frankly that's usually a toss up as to whether the designer is aiming at warhammer or just wants monstergirls and calling them 'lust demons' (nudge nudge, wink wink) gets a few more hits. They generally have the flaw of "because I can do delicate fiddly detail, I MUST"; standing on delicate deer hooves is nice art, but not so great when you're trying to glue a 28/30mm model to a base.
There's also like 20+ reasonably popular space marine chapters that people want custom bits for but will never get official support for an upgrade sprue like the 1st founding chapters get. So that's eating up a lot of space but it's the kind of space that I understand has a market. People want their space shark upgrades and what have you so they look as cool as the guy running space wolves or blood angels. What do the Xenos factions have that's really compatible? Wacky Ork themes? We've had sites for that for ages.
>>97836748 is correct OP, there are plenty of xenos 1:1s out there you just have to struggle to find them because they need to use even more retarded naming schemes or were found and nuked by GeW Legal so only exist in trannygram groups.
>>97836157No one likes you faggot weebs or NPC elves.

Been chilling on Japanese TRPG twitter and they put like 1000% times more effort into the games they run. Like this would be a pic of how polished an average VTT game looks like in Japan.
>>97837062This isn't even much effort? A battle map, some tokens, and Foundry with Combat Carousel, Dice So Nice, Splatter, and what looks like Theater Inserts. That's basically been my base minimum since Foundry came out, with the exception of battlemaps when I couldn't be assed. But for a game like D&D it's practically required, but there's so many maps and tools out there specifically for D&D it's a non-issue.Everyone thinking this is a lot of effort is retarded.
>>97837916You are a polished DM then. Most VTT games are barebones.
Japanese TTRPG's are heavily influenced by video games which is why they're poisonous
>>97837909>misunderstanding positioning the second combat startsYou can deal with this part even by just using graph paper
>>97837062>a pic of how polished an average VTT game looks like in Japan.>average On a basketweaving forum someplace in Japan there is an Ameriboo pretending that everyone in America runs games that are Critical Role or with hyper fancy battlemap slop, too.

>>97839889>Vintage cube>I don’t want to proxyYou’re going to have to choose either paying out the ass or proxying the more expensive cards. I have a proxies of most of the power nine in my cube, nobody gives a fuck. I’m not buying a real black lotus or moxes and if I did for some insane reason I’m not putting them in a cube. People will just enjoy playing with powerful cards.
>>97839889>would this be a reasonable addition to a vintage cube to save $800 on LED?no
>>97839912>paying out the ass or proxying the more expensive cardsMe and my roommate are going to pay out the ass for the duals at some point in our lives but the Power Nine is unlikely. Maybe time twister because I love wheels, but the other 8... I've just never gotten my hands on a proxy that I like/feels right and with true vintage power it'd probably fuck over the retarded pet card side of our cube. So it's vintage power legal, but calling it a vintage cube is just me trying to shortcut saying, "everything fucking cool we own is legal." but I mean we've got Sheoldred, the Apocalypse hanging out with Visara, the Dreadful.
>>97839889>vintage cube>i don't want to proxiesbaka
>>97839889Does it poop?
Repeat after me: MAKE. YOUR. POTIONS. IN. PILL. FORME!Pills are ancient, they predate Egypt! We made pills better in medieval Europe by putting them inside purified nontoxic silver to boost power, we don't do that anymore because it's too expensive.Whole reason why we take pills and don't drink medicine is because any medicine is just 0.1% active ingredients, putting it inside a pill is more efficient, making it a drink is wasteful.Realistically in DND, if potions were real, they'd kill adventurers, all over the Adventures Guild you'd see newspapers like:>SSS-rank barbarian killed in the Dungeon because drinking healpot takes too long!>LVL 99 thief killed in the Dungeon because he choked on manapot... it went down the wrong hole!>The Hero killed in the Dungeon because he tripped down stairs and broke all pots!Potions? Not even once! Pills are the right way.
>>97839810It's easter anon, is this how you are going to spend it?
>>97839810There's been plenty of actual discussion of how to mechanically implement pills relative to potions. At least read the thread before you start bitching
>>97839822Anon, at this point assuming that he actually wants to do anything but shitting up every thread is futile. In threads about games he asks "what worldbuilding setting?" instead. He's just that pathetic.
>>97839408>>97839711In this case, wouldn't a healing pill be more like giving someone a low level of fast healing or regeneration for a bit, good for smaller wounds so they don't build up?
>>97839878That or a lingering effect that applies the healing after the damage is done, but it sure starts being more complicated than it needs to be, on the fluff side.

Previous thread: >>97680129GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.TQ: what's your least favorite disadvantage for a player to take?

Brawling and Karate parries are at -1.Everything else seems to be correct.Note that these rules seem OK for knives and tonfa, but are dubious for most other weapons. Swords are not balanced for use in one-handed reverse grips (should probably have a skill penalty, or increase ST) while spears shouldn't get reduced reach (one-handed spear use already assumes a large portion of the shaft behind the gripping hand) nor a bonus to deceptive attacks (if anything, a reversed grip with a spear makes your moves more obvious).

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. As I understand it, any psyker could technically maintain consciousness and coherence in the warp after death as a soul and reincarnate themselves. The problem is that they don't really have access to a body, and, oh yeah, demons immediately start chewing on the nice soul that turned up in their hellscape and didn'thave the good sense to gutter out like most souls. Is that about the size of it?
