The Core Operations:

All card effects are composed of the following basic terms. Most of these terms have correspondences to MTG and YGO mechanics. There are no keyword abilities.

Transmuting:

Transmuting is a very simple but very strategically important operation. To Transmute a card, you simply move it a new type-zone.

For example to Transmute a Structure into an Entity, you just move the Structure to the Entity Zone.

1.) Transmuting allows you to move cards in and out of range of the player's effects. For example if the other player has effects which are powerful against Structures, if you Transmute your Structure into an Entity, it's no longer vulnerable.

This works in the reverse direction as well. If you have effects which are powerful against Structures, but the other player only has Entities, you can Transmute their Entities into Structures so you can affect them.

2.) In terms of the Thread, a Transmutation occurs by Projecting a card Type as a new Type. This means that the card:
-Must resolve again on the Thread
-Becomes a new card

This means that its stats and any per-turn limitations are also reset, because it is a new card. This allows you to "heal" cards by resetting their stat, and also gain additional effect output.

In Ai’s case, the distinction is all but null. Her Idolon is her, stripped of restraint. It doesn’t really alter her behavior so much as make it explode outwards.
Ai doesn’t experience the Idolon as an external influence, she doesn’t “notice” changes because it feels like she has always been that way.
She’s already obsessive, grotesque, violent when pressed, and incapable of stepping outside her fixation on Shu. The Idolon isn’t something she resists, more like the opposite, it’s something that validates what’s already there.

Her whole system of values is warped. The only true crisis is if something threatens Shu.
All her capabilities, strength, resistance, and capacity for grotesque violence turn outward, because for Ai there is no such thing as self-preservation. There is only Shu-preservation.

I took the "remaining damage" in the bottom bullet to refer to the damage remaining after you apply the minimum as determined by your level of case.
Deal 1 to structure, remaining damage is dealt to rear armor. For normal case, you deal 10 to structure, then blow back armor, and no case deals 20 to structure then blows back armor.

Myself, lots of Conan, Tolkien (not dunedain, rohirim, the orcs) Dominion 6 (my principal inspiration at the moment), lots of real world folklore, tales and stuff (like the Narts, Spanish folklore, Tibetan bon) and this or that stuff of different books (I love tribal stuff and making tribes inspired in different stuff, like I have a tribe of skinners than wear the pels of the Tribe of the wolf,wich are locked in cosntant war in the not-siberia).
But what about you guys, what are you using? Anyone has a good recomendation for tribal stuff, or resources to make a city-state/tribe/village adventures?

My setting is an awkward mix of whatever I happen to find cool at the time of writing that part of the lore or world or session, so it's a giant mixing bowl of elder scrolls, stormlight archive, thunderbolt fantasy, diablo, runescape,some 1st age Tolkien, s9me banner saga, some real world religion and history, some real world mythological figures, and so on.
Add in things like making a session based entirely around a neat fantasy picture I saw and stored away, influence from various movies or even music

Also the 5 standard attack dice and unit health change is a bad move. Apparently they swapped it from 6 in their historical and fantasy games because scifi units are more likely to come in squads of five and it confused some players. But, rolling 6's is a core part of basic strength units, and going from being likely to get at least one 6 to maybe one 6 just from amount of dice makes attacks whiff a lot. You can expect basic light and heavy infantry attacks to just do literally nothing to each other for turns in a row and it's even worse in cover. Easy fix though, just play with 6 standard.

My mistake, attack dice is always ten, not half for five strength units, it's until you take enough wounds.
It's more problematic that cheap infantry can't always reliably hurt each other. 2 light infantry squads in basic cover shooting each other in optimal range need 2 6's on 10 dice to do a single wound. Heavy infantry would need 4 6's in cover. They can go for ages and when they take half damage it does drop to five. You could always give them upgrades I guess and I suppose the balance for lighter armies is more focused on support weapons and moral checks and constant back and forth firefight responses. It's a lot of rolling for a lot of diddly sometimes though especially when light infantry might give the turn over for shooting.
I just think if your game is gonna use rolling 6's as a regular, standard check, keeping 12 dice is a lot more clear than 10, and it seemed like a really flippant change to make to the balance.

Also it's been a while since I played so maybe I'm just wrong, I recall it having some long, bloodless shootouts for this reason.
