Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy?
>A world rocked by cataclysm
>landscapes filled with chaos and wonder
>mage storms
>An enduring mystery; what happened, and what happened in the intervening centuries?
>An atmosphere of hope and renewal, as heroes rise, and mysteries are investigated.
>Darkness and evil await in corners and ruins, like pools of dank water waiting for the sun
>the brink of a New Age
Interesting setting? What elements would you include?
I'm just gonna throw zombies at them.

I already went over what games are.
You don't get a pass for your collaborative writing exercises.
>>
>>97230745
Are you stuck in a loop? No, you seem to think games are just mechanics, but multiple people now have laughed at such a retarded claim and explained that tabletop RPG games = story + mechanics.

But it's been clear for a while why you hate any form of creativity, because you have none in yourself, so you lash out at others out of spite. We see you for what you are, "Wilbur".

Thank you, I wish you luck in your endeavors as well. I do recommend playing the first one in it's entirety before starting the second; there were many downgrades in terms of DD2's systems, characters, and story.
>>
>>97231115
Ignoring games that don't have stories doesn't make it so games need stories.

>you hate creativity
I make a lot, actually, so eat shit faggot.
Also, that's just a "no u" on all the times you got called out for hating games.

You have no arguments. You just want your off-topic threads. Kill yourself.

>For the last few years we've been abandoned by the wider Imperium to an ice world that very much resembles our home.
>In that time we've constructed the city of New Yur.
>A sprawling metropolis surrounded by a network of trenches visible from orbit dug by the kriegers and valhallans.
>We've also made more or less peace with the orks we were originally sent here to fight, and even made alliances with the ruinous powers, but those truces only last for one day a year.
>A day that is fast approaching.
>Candlemass brings peace, but also war to Nordica II every year without fail.
>This year however the orks have decided to convert the former colloseum constructed by khorne worshipers in the ruins of a space hulk that crashed here into an arena for a sport they're apparently calling "Blood Bowl."
>I will be attending the first of these games on Candlemass day, which is set to pit greenskins against some surviving khorne worshipers they've captured.
>Emperor willing this will be the beginning of true peace to our world.
>But knowing Candlemass that seams unlikely and I'll be waiting the whole time for some new threat to emerge.

>Not as fun as grabbing people and shoving them in our Soul Thief Sacks or Soul Rending Cages, but it allows us to use our thralls to collect souls rather than doing everything ourselves
>Over the past few months we have collected hundreds of souls, but tonight is going to be the big one
>Almost a hundred Kriegers under our control have hit lists totaling in the thousands, and our Drukhari “allies” will likely net thousands more
>And once it is all done, the tainted weapons will turn their users as well, we can’t allow murder to go unpunished on Krampusmas, that would be unseemly
>As an added bonus, the city will no doubt be in chaos for months afterward once even the most pious and fanatical of the Guard regiments on the planet is revealed as tainted, so lots of opportunity to slip even more tainted weapons to soldiers on opposing sides

Yeah you can slam someone with arocks right in their face. It's really hard to react to as well since they're so big and can come from anywhere, whenever you want
>>
>>97231239
You got me there, he's a nice enough guy but sometimes just rubs me the wrong way. But I appreciate that I got a community to play with, especially since I live next to 2 big FLGS. (also wheeling and dealing minis and trading my way up into more centerpieces and armys)

He has like 8 lords of change, I've seen untold amounts of horrors. Same with the Skaven, like 13 verminlords.
>>
>>97231274
That's a very valid critique, which would have been resolved with a range refresh, except the IJ wrekkas already ate up the design space of "magic but still beefed up". But it didn't have to go that way, and weirdbrute wrekkas could have been a shared unit.
>>
>>97231305
>range refresh
would have been a waste, it was better to spend that for ironjaws, there's no unit concept that they can't do better
>>
Iron jawz dont really seem like a relligous type, they could have done more with BS having some kind of dances or whatever as a form of worship for gork n mork army wide rather than consolidating their priests on to one individual. Dunno if that makes sense. Kinda like lumineth where pretty much all units have mage (1), all BS units would have (priest) 1 as long as they're on foot.

The one guy making a real sim got the tummy hurt and stopped development right after Wixoss-En started, and for years he refused to release the code so others could work on it.
Right before Wixoss-En died he suddenly decided to work on it again. I don't know what the current state is, he's either running it invite-only or else got another tummy hurt.

He could have been the hero that caused English Wixoss to live forever. Now that dream is dead.
>>
>>97229929
Funnily enough the Japanese community wasn't mad that they were getting rid of additional levels, they were mad it was called "True Release" instead of Level 2 so the designers just changed the cards to read, "Level 2/True Release" lol

It also looks like they are making the soul core more important since they added a brand new spell type that gets additional effects from using the soul core to pay for its cost, and the True Release/Level 2 cost can be paid with either a soul core or X regular cores (at least in the cards we have)

MECTech check

In a casual guy and I’m designing my weapons from a game-y mechanics perspective rather than any amount of realism.

>for context, Mechs can move(usually)3 spaces + 2 if they ‘dash’
>guns have a base range(example - 7) and a maximum range(2 or 3times the base range)
>every multiple over your base range that you shoot, you gain stacking disadvantage to accuracy
>long range rifle-type guns have a range of 8(24)
>mid range full auto rifles/machine guns have a range of 6(12 or 18)
>handguns have a range of 5(usually 10 or 15)

>all melee weapons have a range of 1
>all melee weapons get an automatic level of advantage to hit, making them more accurate
>most melee weapons also have a secondary effect on hit like knock down or grapple

A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or peoples' homebrew wargames.
The >>>/tg/hwg thread doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to more specific games.
This thread isn't tied to a game, a publisher, or a genre, let's just talk about fun wargames. Any scale, any company, any miniatures.

>Examples of games that qualify.
A Song of Ice and Fire, Argatoria, Batman Miniature Game, Carnevale, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings,
Deadzone, Dragon Rampant, Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander, Freebooter's Fate, Frostgrave, Gaslands, HeroClix,
Kings of War, Maelstrom's Edge, Malifaux, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Masters of the Universe: Battleground, Moonstone,
Oathmark, OnePageRules, Open Combat, RelicBlade, Rumbleslam, SAGA, StarCraft, Stargrave, Sludge, Urban War, Void,
Warcaster, Warmachine, Xenos Rampant, Xenotactics...
...and anything else that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread.

I'm quite excited about victrix expanding their medieval range. Fingers crossed for mongols and byzantines! WGA might also release some interesting kits. Hopefully more iron-core minis.
