Just marathoned this, what did we think of it?Also comfy LotR/Hobbit thread
the other two are fine, but 3 is just kind of bad. you can just tell which scenes are just pure filler. but that can also describe most of the movie.
>>215553557It sucked Martin Freeman was a horrible choice of Bilbo. The CGI was garbage as was the costumes and design
>>215555172You suck
>>215555172No he's right these movies are as bad as anything I've seen and martin freeman is annoying. When did this board become pro hobbit?
>>215555752They are just the Star Wars prequels of the LotR series, everyone will come round to love them in time too.
Which actors destroyed their reputation the hardest?
>>215553431>>215553788>>215554458None of these people have destroyed their reputations, they just make honest statements about Dear Leader and that sends the cultists into a frothing rage

Why can't Trump supporters just admit they were conned?
>>215556018How is starring in nothing but dogshit and having a troon son not destroying his reputation?
Armie Hammer. He'll forever be known as the cannibal guy.

>“Terrifier” actress Catherine Corcoran has sued the producers and series director Damien Leone, alleging breach of contract and the distribution of sexually explicit materials without consent.>In a suit filed in California federal court on Sunday, Corcoran’s attorneys presented a case, defined by the “all-too-common story of low budget film producers taking advantage of a young actress through fraud, sexual harassment and, ultimately, betrayal.” The lawsuit names production banners Dark Age Cinema and Fuzz on the Lens Productions as defendants, in addition to producer Phil Falcone and Leone and the filmmaker’s banner Art the Clown. The filing includes seven claims for relief, including distribution of sexually explicit materials, breach of contract and promissory fraud.> Corcoran is best known to “Terrifier” viewers as the centerpiece of one of the original 2016 slasher’s most memorably demented sequences, in which the actress’ character is hung upside down, topless, and slaughtered by the villain Art the Clown. The suit alleges that filming for the sequence required Corcoran to be hung upside down by her ankles for “over 10 hours in below freezing temperatures.”> Corcoran is said to have agreed to act in the low-budget “Terrifier” on an “extremely low up front per diem rate,” with the agreement that she would receive 1% of the profits from the film, as well as potential future franchise entries and related merchandise, including other licenses of the intellectual property. Two “Terrifier” sequels have been produced, collectively grossing more than $105 million at the global box office, plus home video profits and “Terrifier”-themed fan events and other modes. The suit claims that director and producer Leone, “agreed in writing to provide Corcoran with a share in 1% of all net sales generated from ‘Terrifier’ related merchandise.”https://variety.com/2025/film/news/terrifier-actress-sues-royalties-nude-scene-consent-1236562872
>>215547246>They can just claim they just didn't make much of a profit with those movies.T3 made over $90 million at the box-office on a production budget of $2 million. How are you going to pretend you didn't make money? They spent $100 million on marketing? The movie has probably made double that by now from streaming, VOD, Blu-Ray sales, etc.
>>215550379What is this, a Captain for ants?
>>215548455>You go for the GROSS, not profit. These movies have been undeniably profitable. It's like pretending Demon Slayer Infinity Castle didn't make profit somehow.

It has been an incredibly difficult year for me for a variety of reasons. Gf of 10 years broke up with me, health problems including chronic pain getting worse, inflation increasing for my area. Trying to learn new skills for income but it's not simple and I can tell it'll be a long road ahead for me. Feels like nightmare mode has been enabled since the start. I haven't given up though.I typically watch a couple dozen films in total during most Octobers, both alone and with friends, but this year I have watched none. Truly dire times. I may have a double-feature with some friends in the next couple days but I am at a loss for new releases.Any recs for new horror films that came out recently this year? I really enjoyed the last act of The Substance last year and then Suitable Flesh in 2023. I've seen so many of the classics from the 60s-00s, but suggestions are always welcome. Really enjoyed Frankenhooker last year that I watched for the first time too.

All of them.>B-but The Thing! That's not a remake, it's a more faithful adaption of the source material. As it's the case with every "remake" considered better than the original.

>refractive index
>it's a suspect refused to take a polygraph test and the narrator and experts act like that automatically makes them guilty even though it turns out someone else did the murder episode
>>215556022It’s never actually that much money either. Like imagine your own spouse fucking murders you for $200k.

It had some ridiculous DUDE WEED LMAO name, Pineapple XXX Blowout or some such shit. I got maybe a quarter of the way through it and was blasted out of my fucking mind. I couldn't even stand up.
