It will make keeping lore consistency across multiple titles much easier and help introduce complex ramifications to the player choices and quest outcomes, also permitting easier localization (both text and voice) while improving NPC response variety, helping immersion and introducing additional challenge.
As far as I can see, it is already able to do a better job than purple haired millennial women in writing quality and pajeets in programming, so hopefully it will get this people out of these jobs before the collapse of the sector would have done anyways.

This was the answer AI gave to OP after i fed him this thread. Since he wants AI to write games for him it seemed to be fitting to ask it's opinion. If AI itself says it's not ready for it yet then it's still a dream.

>What they said: S1 games will get a S2 patch, or get a S2 Edition
Okay?
What actually happened: By end of year only a few Switch patches, only a few Switch Editions, but plenty of patches just to get S1 games to work at all on S2. Native switch games getting 60fps patches instead of S1 games.

The handling of backward computability completely shattered my view of Nintendo being competent.

>>
>>729679494
They only ever said some select games would. It was oretty obvious from the outset they were going to dripfeed this shit just like the retro games on NSO.
>>
>>729679494
You're aware 90% of the games run just fine with the raw brute forcing of the better hardware, right?
These "switch 2 editions" are basically anything from soft-remasters to uncapping framerates and resolutions in the few games that don't automatically do it like xenoblade for whatever reason.
>>
i just want nier in 60 fps man
>>
>>729679494
What Nintendo game did you want updated to S2 version? The ones that needed it the most, like Zelda, already got it to finally run decently.

Sahelanthropus was a piece of shit prototype where the designers forgot to leave room inside for an actual pilot to sit. The only thing that saved it was having access to a psychic child that could telekinetically puppet it from outside.

>People don't really care what your game is about as long as it's good.
It actually wasn't even that good, though. The side missions were repetitive, vital information was hidden deep inside sub-menus, the open world was just a bit of a slog without much to do in it, and climbing and combat weren't as refined yet as in later titles.

But the "climb anything" thing blew everyone's minds, the mystery plot hooked people, and the well-realised medieval world, sharp art direction, and hints at greater depth made people willing to forgive a lot. Funny, what actually makes a game "good".

Always balanced.
In RFF your crop growth is based on your runeys, so to give you an example maxing them is the same as having a "runey weather" in RF4 (when you get runeys all over the place and your crops skip days in growing) but every single day, I'm guessing it's not hard to imagine why that would trivialize the whole game.
Balanced means pretty much the standard crop growth rate, no benefit but no negatives either.
Ignoring runeys is pretty brutal because is will destroy your crops' growth rate, diminishing not only your money, but also your resources for crafting and cooking, which is pretty important on a game where your RP bar has a fixed value and the only way to replenish it is with food/rune factories. The worst part is that people only start noticing this in summer-autumn when the problem already reached critical mass andis too late to fix without stopping your farm development for days, which at that point is easier to just reset the savefile.

This was the last Nintendo system that tried to evolve how we actually play video games, now Nintendo has just given up and makes the same game machines as everyone else. Why did we stop trying to innovate for the last 20 years? VR never caught on and we can't even get gyro aim and backpedals standardized, why have we become so complacent?

Precisely, it's in line with your values, that's why video games can't correct it. Because video games have never correct the community since 2012 and won't start now, as misogyny and sexism are as rife now as they were then. What kind of sense, logic, or arguments even leads one to be so retarded as to think video games can change young male's opinions on women? Because there ain't a single scientific study supporting this I'll tell you that, so you gotta pull the notion out of your ass. Twitch certainly learned this the hard way.

>You yourself said that the *character* should be misogynistic "to feminist sensibilities" (which is kind of a weasel word)
There's nothing weasily about it, these are the sensibilities to which "Old school Bond" is "controversial", they are the only sensibilities to which it would be so, one of James Bond's main and defining charictaristics OBVIOUSLY is his larger than life alpha male persona. He is an embodiment of the masculine archetype, and he was always unapologetically so. """equality""" is obviously one of the most foundational things in feminism, they OBVIOUSLY are at conflict with "gender roles", things which suggest natural roles of sexes, including but not limited to the sexual dynamic of male dominance and female submission which is prevalent in every Bond at least up until once again, Daniel Craig (who I've said I haven't watched the films of save for Casino Royalle which I forget). These are things which early feminist writers who are considered something akin to foundational figures THEMSELVES have explicitely stated they are at war with. This isn't up for debate.

The problem with modern Resident Evil is unironically that its way too obsessed with being scary. The original games could be scary, but it was never at the expense of being fun, they were fun thrill rides where the horror was supplementary.. Ever since RE6 was badly recieved the series has had this obsession that it *needs* to be scary. According to modern RE, If its between scary and fun, it's better if it's scary. Problem with this is that if you don't find something scary it's actually just fucking annoying instead, modern Resident Evil takes itself way more seriously and is filled with "oooooohh isn't this spooky?!?!" segments, whereas old RE is entertaining and fun even if you don't find it scary.
