Just finished the whole series for the first time and did it back to back on normal.1 was the best, 2 was boring, 3 and 4 were good and 5 is the most funDespite the insane praise this series gets I did not expect the enemies to be this fucking bad in 3 and 4.It seems like those games have only 2 types of enemies, enemies that stand there to build your style meter and enemies that are annoying retards to break your style meter.Making style switching a thing in 4 and 5 for Dante seems like a bad decision to me because it makes him genuinely too complex for anyone with under 900 hours just on him, I liked that in 3 you were forced to use 1 style and 2 melee weapons to get creative.1 might be one of the very best games ever made and I will go back for DMD on 1 3 and 5 for sure.

DMC3 has a lot of dogshit encounter design because most enemies outside the Hells are nauseating. You can't really name a bad enemy in DMC1 aside from maybe the Kyclops for being just copy pasted Phantoms.
