Some things can take weeks to do in game like exploring the furthest reaches of space, and you can shake things up on the way like discovering and exploring planets, but it's very slow going. Of course you don't have to just explore. There is also fighting, and the whole political system in the bubble you can work on. Still if you have really good patience, and don't mind sitting and waiting around for long periods, then get it. Personally I enjoyed the political systems the most so I never had to leave the bubble.

And all these cards come with regular versions that keep the art in the frame. Yugioh's had the "issue" that nobody really buys the cards for collecting. They only buy them to play the game. This is based, but it also means that sets only sell if they have good cards and that has incentivized Konami to release clearly broken decks. If this causes people to start buying more cards without having to make overpowered new decks that are bad for the game then that's worth having some people using gaudy cards. It also means that more copies of the cards end up in circulation from people hunting these rare versions of cards which makes the second hand market cheaper for people who want to play the game.
