I'm still astounded with the Metroid Prime Hunters. A full fat shooter with network PVP, voice chat, and a fun campaign, packaged with a fantastic control scheme that's pretty close to mouse aiming thanks to the touchscreen. Plus it runs at a solid 30fps which is amazing considering it's on a handheld.

They did Rosalina so dirty in the movie. Does almost nothing for the whole movie, Fox has more spoken lines than her and more impact on the story. Crimson Desert is being passed off as some sort of optimization miracle, but the game is fucking broken without Ray Reconstruction, which automatically turns on Raytracing and Lighting to Max (and basically halves your FPS).This isn't the face of a versatile game, YOU ARE LITERALLY FORCED TO HAVE THE HIGHEST END OF PCs OR PLAY A GAME WITH THE LIGHTING COMPLETELY BROKEN.

I had my first child last year and I went from an average of 3-5 hours of gaming on my PC daily to maybe 6 hours weekly squeezed in on my steam deck. While I don't have time to play huge RPGs I am interested in like Crimson Desert or KCD2, I've been taking advantage of save states and emulation to play older RPGs and other games that, given more free time, I would probably invest in games with broader scope. My playtime is like 20% what it used to be, but in a way the time I do spend is much more fulfilling than it used to be. Just have to be more scrupulous about what I want to play. I have had to pretty much give up on being "good" at any competitive game which is a weird experience too. Deadlock is a lot harder to enjoy now than when I was doing 15+ games a week
