The first game wasn't bad. I liked how it kind of felt like an old point and click adventure game in some ways. Everything's a silly character and weird moon logic shit is always happening, and there are a million jokes at the expense of specific people and specific businesses with only the bare minimum of distinction to qualify as parody.
I actually laughed at the Applebees being based on a real floorplan, offering real menu items, and the only thing that marks it as a parody is the subtle addition of Saturn rings around the apple in the logo that you can't even see at a distance.

Isn't that the shitty bowlbo or bip punchy or whatever the fuck?
>>
>>730959150
Bowlbo was a platformer concept Chris O'Neill contracted a shitty indie developer to help him make. They flaked out before long, and he lost interest in the idea. It's vaporware.

Tough Bippy is a Beat 'em up/platformer hybrid in development by the former cohosts of OneyPlays. DingDong and Julian.

(Who, yes, are in fact gay furries with weird fetishes, {Tuba vore, inflation, futa, hypermuscle, and a bunch of other shit.} that's not really relevant, but I know it'll be the next question asked)

It's also basically vaporware, because they're career artists with next to zero technical skills bashing their heads against a project that was way too big and complicated for them to work on alone.

As far as I know, Zach and Michael have only had voice acting roles in video games. Most notably in High On Life. Where Michael plays your knife, in the Bushworld Rick voice, naturally. And Zach plays one of two nearly identical, compliment seeking, door-operating creatures.
Michael is confirmed to reprise his role, and it wouldn't be a surprise at all if Zach has a bigger role, now that he's the new Justin Roiland without the baggage.

Why are you posting Judith? She's pretty good but I don't see how she is relevant to my post.

There seemed to be some interest in the thread I posted yesterday so I'm posting again. I'd just like to discuss it more in a place that isn't the Mewgenics discord server (full of children).

>What is Mewgenics?

Mewgenics is a roguelike TRPG made by Edmund McMillen, creator of The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy. You take cats on runs with events, battles and bosses, then take them home where you can breed them to make kittens that carry their attributes and abilities. It plays like XCOM and Into The Breach but with very deep roguelike elements. It has a similar run progression to Slay The Spire with branching paths and bosses at the end of each chapter.

>When does it come out?

It releases on the 10th of February. There is no preorder, but Edmund has stated the game will cost $29.99 and that there will be some release day discount.

>>
Weird comparison but does anyone remember a game called Massive Chalice? It was from like 2012 or so and was also a turn based tactics game where you passed on unit genetics over many generations.
I remember liking the idea back then but thinking the game was low on variety and content. Mewgenics seems to be nothing but variety and crazy mechanical interactions so I'm looking forward to trying it

I think that one needed more interactivity based on where you were in the main game. Or at least if you finished it. It takes place at some nebulous point and just exists to secure the bloodline.
>>
>>730955698
Since 3.
Tyranny of King Washington is around 6-8 hours minimum, 15ish if you 100% it.

Then with Origins it started being more than 10 hours for everything.
>The Hidden Ones was a 10 hour-ish epilogue but Curse of the Pharaohs was like 30+ hours.
>Legacy of the First Blade was roughly 6-10 hours per episode.
>Fate of Atlantis is roughly 10-15 hours per episode.
>Wrath of the Druids is about 20ish hours.
>Siege of Paris is around 18ish hours unless you want to 100%it, then enjoy the extra 10-20 hours of grinding the same mission over and over for rebel store points.
>Dawn of Ragnarok is around 14ish hours if you're not 100%ing, 30-40 if you are.
>Claws of Awaji is around 20 hours because you have to hunt down 6-10 targets from each person's side as Naoe and Yasuke before you can kill the main target. Once you beat it then you also unlock another dozen or so targets.

Is Fallout London worth playing?
4 replies and 1 image omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>730954748
You'd think, but it is worse.
While writing for individual characters can on occasion be better, the Narrative absolutely stinks.
Firstly, there's no connecting theme. Each Fallout has had easily picked up themes, whether it's Old World Blues vs New World Hope, What defines human, etc. Fallout London's only seeming theme is "It's London, innit?" (And instead of actually introducing shit to people who have no idea of British Culture, it heavily assumes you know it when it comes to making important quest decisions, or understanding faction motivations.)
When it comes to quest structure and faction choice, it's also worse than Fallout 4. By the time you hit the end of Act 2 in Fallout 4, you've been exposed to every faction you can make a choice with over the course of the main quest, generally getting an understanding of who they are and how they operate. Added to this, you can still find them earlier than their active main quest introduction, and for all except the institute, you can do quests and shit for them. And you can safely work for every faction for a while until they give you a hard choice.
In London, you are only introduced to a faction moments before your hard choice. There's no quests for them before this point, and their deal is not explained to you in any regard, instead relying on your real-world idea of what these factions are to guide you.
And also exploration is relatively shit. Whoever did woeld design has no idea how to handle shit like coloura or livhts fo guide a PC. That's when you can get into a place, though. Everything's locked behind main quest progression, and between the two quests that reward exploration, the one that actually fits with the absolutely shit theme of "It's London, innit" doesn't even award you as well as the one built around a series from America (Cthulhu Mythos).
It's bad. It's so fucking bad.
>>
>>730956915
This is also not including my salt over stupid narrative decisions, like spoiling the main twist early for a fucking joke.

>>730954557

t. 50k hours across video games

you are the video games equivalent to the annoying snob who says people who read books for fun are anti-intellectual, bosses dont magically retroactively become easier because you have harder games today

ornstein and smough are just as hard for a new player as they were 10 years ago. if video games are "too easy" then you should go pick up something actually difficult

>>730948771
Just keep going in release order. PS3 versions are tolerable but if your PC is decent you definitely want to switch for PC moving forward. I recommend vanilla Dark Souls II over Scholar of the First Sin, personally. Also for Dark Souls 1, if you don't mind using mods, the original release with mods is a better way of experiencing the game for the first time, in my opinion. Remaster has the plug and play advantage, though, and it's decent enough. Just launch and play. Also actually runs better than PTDE modded.

>t. 50k hours across video games
Yes, but unironically since I'm 38 and have been playing vidya, and FROM's games, before you were even born.
Souls bosses were never anything special, it took them all the way until ER and partly Sekiro to make somewhat difficult and well thought out fights, and before that it was barely one step above AC bossfights which were largely straight out bad, nevermind their other games like Otogi, ACE or whatever.
>ornstein and smough are just as hard for a new player as they were 10 years ago
lol
Lmao even
>go learn an instrument or a language
Already did, I'm fluent in four different languages because I live in Europe and worked in the tourism sector since I got out of college decades ago, I fail to see how this is related to FROM's bosses being jokes.
You're still shit at simple videogames and should go back to the bucket with the rest of your fellow crabs, faggot.

And then hopefully spend money on MTX.
While RPG fans can buy up to 10+ different games a year.
>>
>>730957753
The reason is that other companies can't compete with those IPs though. If you make a clone, even if it's good, it still won't sell as much as the yearly EA/Activision slop. Arc Raiders is the only "new one", but it's also representative of a archetype of FPS that was sort of looking for it's crowned main entry. Extracting shooter, right?

That's why it's still better for majority of companies to pander to their homegrown audiences.
