You anons ever beat pokemon stadium 1/2 with cartage support back in the day?If not, what's stopping you from doing it now with roms?

It shows you how far modernity has debased humanity that touch grass is seen as some wisdom. The implication that stepping outside into artificial nature, a park or a lawn, and forming shallow relationships is some soul nourishing activity is horrific on a level that most can't comprehend. Of course, it's not really that at all, it's maggots writhing in a pit of mundanity, biting each other.

They were extremely common in Western games up until the mid 2000s but I can't recall a single Japanese game with built in cheats. Is it because of some Asian honor code bullshit?

This could have been such a great game but there is so many annoying things, so much forced damage, the bot fights, or the defend the core missions which are basically timed. That's without even mentionning the lives/save system, as you're supposed to do the entire Hard missions path with a maxium of 5 lives (assuming you even managed to unlock the path without losing a single life because it keeps track), no saving, and of course the final boss consists in plunging yourself in acid to pull switches, acid which drains your entire HP in mere seconds, so if you don't have extra lives there you're basically fucked. The entire idea that you must fight bosses until they only have 10% HP left and then they magically stop taking any damage and you're supposed to flee the levels, only because you have to "refight them but for real" at the end, is also retarded. There is nothing wrong with having a boss ruh of previous bosses even if they were already defeated, but no I guess my game about space bikes and killer robots must have a "realistic" story (except that bosses magically not taking any damage anymore isn't so "realistic").Also yes I know you can farm lives but only on the first Hard mission and even then it's an exploit so you might as well use a cheat code too. You can also switch which character you're playing as mid campaign as you unlock better ones but that's also an exploit.
>>12250720>and of course the final boss consists in plunging yourself in acid to pull switches, acid which drains your entire HP in mere seconds, so if you don't have extra lives there you're basically fucked. You can shoot the switches so you don't have to be in the acid for a long time if at all. The boss is in the center and the pool is sectioned off in 4 sections. The acid doesn't flow all the way up to the boss platform so you can Hobe above the acid while hugging the center platform to not get hit by the boss and quickly try to Snipe the switch and move off to the next one.My only problem with the game were the durable turrets that have instant zap lasers. Seeing how there's not a lot of life pick ups in the hard course you just end up doing lame strats like peaking around the corner enough so a turret doesn't trigger and then fire your dual lasers so one hits the wall you're hinding behind and the other fires beyond the corner and connecting with the turret.
i still think they put this bitch on the cover so people thought it was kate winslet
>>12250729Oh shit, I didn't realize you could shoot those type of switches because they were pull switches. Damn. For the laser turrets, you can get under them to avoid them targetting you, but of course you're going to eat shit until you can position yourself and this doesn't work if there are other turrets or enemies targetting you. There are also safe spots for other type of turrets like the rocket ones if you can get behind them. But yes, turrets are a pain. But I guess my most major gripe is the lives/save system, when I died on the Hard path close to the end I was like NOPE I'm not redoing the level where you have to fight 3 bots in a row, time to activate the "unlock all levels" cheat code.Other than that it's just a lot of small things that I don't like but they pile up.
and despite everything it's still 100x more fun than the corner peeking simulator descent
Also even after beating the game I still don't know what the fuck is up with the weapons system. Sometimes when I pick up a weapon it makes other weapons I had disappear, but sometimes it doesn't. One time I couldn't pick up a weapon because it said I already had it, but was unable to switch to said weapons. >>12250859I still haven't played Descent; I was holding off on Forsaken for this reason but Descent seems such a commitment between the 3 games, the expansion, and the PSX exclusive levels that I decided what the hell, let's do Forsaken first.

>>12248594Looks boring, Peco is much cooler. Unfortunately both his fusion and attack transformation looks pretty dumb.
>>12248594>we could have had another KattWhy were we robbed?
>>12250425>Replace Rei with a spunky big-sis character that takes care of young Ryu or Teepo>Just imagine her weretiger formI also feel robbed
>>12250762Momo is already the big sis character. Besides, the image only mentions that it's BoF2's Katt and doesn't go into further detail why she was drawn. For all we know she could have been a generic NPC like how there's tons of Stens and Bo's and Oxs around. Which might not have been a bad thing since the final game has a single woren.
>>12247042Trannies are literally a giant part of Japan culture. From when they made prepubescent boys don geisha outfits to perform "Theater" which was really just a guise for tranny child prostitution. The femboy idea is new to Americans but not to Japan
Does it still hold up today?
The gameplay is crap and it does feel like a tech demo but the art direction/setting are good.
>>12249721>that G-Man fella was obviously the administrator of Black Mesa. Even without HL2 to give you context, it's actually more obvious that he's some kind of alien that may be working for the US government based on his weird speech patterns and lines of dialogue.
>>12246026The gunplay is fucking horrible, so no.

>>12249360gigakek
>>12250474That's funny
>>12249720Yeah, no clue why they tried to tone it down at that era grown up (I don't want to use the word adult like porn hyper violence etc) were already an established thing.I remember being very amped for the show and pretty let down.
>>12250474Max is homosexual. Sam is ace. While they are indeed romantic partners, it's canon that they don't fuck
>>12250507Different anon but the games and comic weren't that edgy to begin with. The series falls into a rare spot where it's mostly kid friendly just with a few occasional situations or references that are a little not so kid friendly, eg mild violence or swearing, but never to the point that it's gratuitous or crass. I guess to be safe, they just made the cartoon totally kid friendly. I happen to like the cartoon but I can see why it was disappointing to fans at the time since it toned down what was already pretty toned down humor
It was like if street fighter fucked MK and their baby was a 7/10. I liked it, but it was hard as fuck and really required a 6 button.
>>12241556I see you're a man of culture as well.
>>12248910also came bundled with the sega activator. only reason me buying that piece of shit had any saving grace is that it came with a game.
>>12249726Yep that's how I got it too. Man that this was such a piece of shit, I remember us fucking with it all Christmas day trying to get it to work in anything that remotely resembled fun. Never did. But getting Eternal Champions with it was a saving grace, I really liked it despite it being unfairly hard. I remember being intrigued by the character bios codex stuff being in game, something you never saw at the time.
>>12244385Where did you find the comic? I didn't know one existed.
>>12250815They used to be 4 to 6 pages in different issues of Sonic the Comic. They all can be read online in archive.org currently
Would you ever play the original release when a remaster is available? Is there any merit?
>>12245986In this case, it actually removes content since its a port of the original and not FES.
>>12249710It has all FES content and even Portable content (such as part time jobs). The only thing missing is the female MC route from Portable.
>>12249781It's still censored, butchered the soundtrack, dramatically downgrades the animated sequences into in-engine trash and had a bunch of woke garbage shoehorned into it (including the entire brown English voice cast). It's also laughably easy thanks to all the "quality of life" shit added, since the difficulty curve wasn't adjusted to account for that.Like 99.999999% of remakes it's lazy slop sharted out to make a quick buck because for some fucking reason they need a decade or more to make an actual new turn-based jarpig with PS3 graphics. The modern games industry is a cancer.
>>12249896Now you're just sperging out and spouting nonsense. Bait used to be believable.
>why would you play the original devs' artistic vision instead of what some hacks painted over it for Modern AudiencesI hope OP is trolling but someone is actually buying that shit so he probably isn't.>>12248481>The originals are often very hard to get a hold ofOnly if you're too much of a cocksucker to pirate them, which most people are but that's by choice.
