You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.

You don't need hundreds of open tabs to do research. Why have myriad arXiv and SpringerLink tabs open when one bookmark for each site will suffice? That and saving articles as PDFs.
>>
Do not use any kind of tab grouping feature. Turn it off. Only normal tab sizes, even if compressed when bar is full, then it starts having scrolling enabled when there are too many. Doing this will all but require you to close tabs to find things. Not having previews and just page title text on hover helps too.

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

this tard has been at it for years/decades and still can't figure out basic common sense things. it doesn't have to be popularity in absolute terms. play a song for 100 people, you get an overwhelming negative reaction, people don't want to hear it. your song absolutely sucks and will not be commercially viable even if you do spam marketing to everyone in the world. he thinks there is no correlation between quality and success because he's oblivious to what qualities that people are looking for. he has astonishingly poor intuition and capacity to filter out useful information from youtube videos etc. he thinks some literal whos with like 1k youtube views are good and some famous renowned artists are complete crap and their fans are just retarded sheep who fell for marketing.
>>
Would you rather be an expert producer possessing all the knowledge and gear but being somehow unable to make any music at all, or being mildly competent, having fun making some music that meets its limited audience?
>>
>>107868045
you're not having fun, you're constantly asshurt and shitting up the thread because you'd rather be successful but you keep failing to make good music
>>

Well in hindsight if i had known ppl would freak out so much over it i definitely wouldn't have changed the release date. I'm sticking with that decision, though.

there is no good information ab out anything on the internet.
it is not like you can become a highly skilled anything via youtube bullshit.

real teaching is done in the real world. there are no doctors or any high performance jobs that get recruited from people who have watched youtube videos.

it is not any different with music. why would it be. even in the gearspace serban ghenea thread the dude says "we keep some of our business secrets"

implying you can learn anything from youtube implies people openly share business secrets and guess what, they do not.

I'd suggest turining off 0 RPM / silent fan option.
I did it for 9070xt.
It may shorten the lifespan of fans (even though the fans are stressed the most when they start), but replacing fans is cheaper than replacing the gpu chip/vram.
Also i've seen people who check their 12v connector on a regular basis, even on 5070ti, even when these cards do not seem to be affected by the melting 12v connector issue, like 5090 and 9070xt (Asrock Taichi and Sapphire Nitro models specifically).

Setup OpenStack and report back.

>What software should I run?
Install Gentoo. Or whatever flavor of *nix is best for the job or most comfy for you. Jellyfin/Emby/Plex to replace Netflix, Nextcloud to replace Googlel, Ampache/Navidrome to replace Spotify, the list goes on. Look at the awesome self-hosted list and ask.

De-botnet your life. Learn something new. Serving applications to yourself, your family, and your frens feels good. Put your tech skills to good use for yourself and those close to you. it sucks. You need to either find a way to install actual Linux on your phone, like PostmarketOS, or do everything through Termux, which also sucks. Getting containers to work will require root access, and probably recompiling your kernel, (if sources are even available).

hi, nas + server in 1 device vs separate?
i got old tower pc + laptop i5+1050ti
i was thinking about running omv in tower and everything else from laptop (jellyfin/arr/vaultwarden/pihole/vms...), problem is tower is first gen i5 so it eats a lot, so i need to upgrade, question is what do i go with? i need 4x 3,5 drive slots, 6 sata ports ideally. options i found so far:

something like https://jackharvest.com/index.php/2025/07/27/build-your-own-minisforum-n5-inspired-mini-nas-a-comprehensive-guide/
mini pc board in tower, im just not sure how risky is doing all that wiring?

ASROCK N100M or similiar new embeded board

2nd hand board with i3 8th+ gen? 8th+ in case i run jellyfin from it

or do i forget tower and get something else? like 4 bay usb enclosure to just connect to laptop and run everything from it?

any other options?

Micron till very recently was still using DUV for DRAM, so Chinks can make that well enough with enough ASML scanners.

Iterate over each element in the array, checking that the subsequent element is greater than the previous element, until you find one element that's smaller than the last one, at which point continue iterating from where you were but check that every subsequent element is smaller than the previous.
How hard could it be?

When it comes to low level development you really have two options: C and Rust, or as I like to call it, CRust for short. anytime you need real performance you gotta bust out the CRust. Bust the CRust

The only real choices are to be a midwit and depend on libc, or be a real programmer and write your own code.

Just cover all the roofs with it and maybe make some extra shade areas. You would need only something like the area of Washington state or Poland to power the entire world with it. There are enough roofs and deserts to do that.

My first thought is that if we did enough of something like that it would heat up the planet far more then just extra CO2. If you made enough of these sunlight redirection techniques you would be significantly increasing the energy input of Earth, more then it can radiate away.
