How effective were these things? Obsidian is said to be extremely sharp and multiple edges instead of one straight blade might be extremely painful.

Likely the Aztecs didn't have good efficient formation warfare, but was likely closer to tribal warfare historically seen in Australia, and still seen in Papua, where the combat starts with some spears being thrown and then becoming a bunch of 1 on 1 duels.Real formation warfare took hundreds of years to develop, medieval European formations were vastly more effective than antique phalanxes, and Early Modern Spanish soldiers far superior again compared to their Medieval counterparts.

the fuckin SAIGA spammers are hilarious. the only reason people think theyre worth the money is because somebody told them theyre worth the money so they went and bought one, and then to justify their purchase they go tell 4chan about how the SAIGA is the best rifle and such a GREAT DEAL at EIGHTEEN HUNDREDS DOLLARS FOR AN UNCONVERTED SPORTER! So what if its just a basic bitch SPORTER with mediocre build quality and CAST components, its RUSSIAN! KC IS IZHMASH TOO SO ITS LIKE THE EXACT SAME THING! Just admit that you got into the AK game too late and that youre paying $1400 more than you should be paying for literally no reason, REDDIT is jewing you but you dont want to admit it because you dont want to see like a retard for paying over $400 for a featureless rifle
>>64661533
At work so I can't take any pictures but I think im fixing to sell my Saiga. I'm looking at gunbroker and the prices vary pretty wildly so its hard to tell what I should sell for, was wondering if anyone here could give a rough ballpark. >converted Saiga in 7.62>Midwest handguard/dust cover>KPYK stock>500 Golden Tiger boxed>1000 Wolf, loose A friend said he might want the ammo but he's been saying that for like over a year at this point.

Why did america only destroy iran's nuclear facilities while they cant do shit to north korea?
It's always had too much of a conventional deterrent even in the 90s and happens to also border one of the world's largest urban areas:https://thediplomat.com/2024/01/how-north-korea-deterred-an-american-invasion-in-2002/Iran meanwhile was effectively paralysed before the US struck and prior to that was throwing waves of missiles at Israel rather than levelling Tel Aviv with artillery and chemical weapons.>>64661526>>64661551North Korea has not only repeatedly threatened to nuke the US but has shelled South Korea, kidnapped foreign citizens, engaged in mass cyber-crime, attempted to destroy the US currency and probably came up with that chant when Uncle Sam was in High-School about him having a small dick.
>>64661698There's absolutely no way Beijing helped their nuclear programme. The Kim Dynasty has always drifted closer to Russia (following the Sino-Soviet split) and instability on the Korean peninsula is just as much a problem for China - there's leverage from economic aid and a broad consensus to support stability but the US does at least half of that as well.We saw what will happen with a US invasion a few years back where both China and Russia deployed their military to the border to repel refugees and create buffer zones.
>>64661776>The Kim Dynasty has always drifted closer to Russia (following the Sino-Soviet split) The shift only started happening when Russia had nothing left to lose and desperately needed allies, prior to that they feared western retaliation too much to develop relations to lead to anything meaningful
>>64661814They already had it going during the commie times. After collapse it cooled down for a bit, indeed due Russia trying to play closer to West, but even then they had nork workers in far eastern parts and tourism shit going with north korea.
>>64661814Nah Soviet-NK relations were strong from the start and remained an awkward friendship even as subsidies were ended in the 90s. Close enough that Kim Jong Il travelled to Moscow multiple times and you had North Koreans working in Russia.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktMXlHn9KCA
What's the practical difference between them? I thought jhp is more popular in handguns and jsp is more popular in hunting rifles because higher velocity allows simplier bullets to expand reliably but seems like there is quite a lot of handgun jsp ammo.
>>64661826As you said, it's generally a matter of expansion, velocity and penetration. JSPs expand less and thus penetrate more, which is desirable for hunting big game or barrier penetration. This is also true for rifle bullets. They often employ complicated means like bonding, partitioning or choking the core to limit expansion and core seperation and gain penetration. This is just a means to tailor bullet selection to your target.

>>64661314>NOOO SWITCHING SIDES DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE...BECAUSE IT DOESN'T, OK!!?grow up nigger, italy benefitted massively from both world wars while former superpowers like france and the UK turned into glorified regional powers. what used to be a dysfunctional agrarian mafia state is now one of the most influential economic powerhouses in the entire western hemisphere. and considering that the overall losses in both human, natural and urban resources were minimal compared to the other factions involved, i say a negligible loss in military reputation was a fucking bargain.
>>64661646>italy benefitted massively from both world wars >is now one of the most influential economic powerhouses in the entire western hemisphereLol, lmao even. Both world wars came at a heavy cost for them, hell Mussolini's rise of power was a direct result of the price they paid in WW1.And Italy's economy can't compete with the brits, frogs, let alone the krauts. If we consider per capita gdp they are even on a level comparable to Malta and Spain. Both WWs were very costly for them.

>>64659173And what part does Japan have in anything new like the Ultrafan or G9X?
>>64661772Yes, both of them. Around 10-20% of each is Japanese. You can easily look this stuff up before you post... You do realize that right? You don't HAVE to make yourself look retarded everytime you make something up. You could just look it up first.Japan has manufactured around 10-20% of most commercial GE and RR engines over the last 20-30 years. And before you go crying about this, yes, Ultrafan is still a demonstrator and final workshare splits haven't been finalized, but it's based on RR Trent which is 15-20% Japanese produced, and it's unlikely RR has changed this with Ultrafan.

>>64661747Which also there's something I want to mention. Americans don't let the glowies and their associates take away the cheap gun. If the law allows for gun freedoms, but they work around it by making gun ownership and usage expensive, then what's the fucking point?Anyways 2 more questions: Is there actually a difference between the turk brands or you're getting kind of the same no matter brand or model? Perhaps a more specific question would be if there's a remarkable. substantial drop of quality between makes and models?Secondly, I was also shown this gun. Looks ugly but it's priced well within my range, and I would really like a .22 (9 costs 3 times more to shoot) but I heard these jam a lot. It's an ISSC M22. Supposedly they work fine with high speed bulletsMan, I would love an M&P 22.
