I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.>But muh fire rate!Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis. Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.https://youtu.be/ZybcWWu4ddk?si=KptwdszD7hCNFTQE

Word on the street is that the US bagged another 2 shadow fleet tankers today. With one of the tankers being captured using these little guys. Could plastic garbage from the ocean be used for 3D printers for printing guns like FGC-9?
>>64728214>They are pagpag eaters in the eyes of westernersWesterner here. I don't know what that is. You're all SEAmonkeys as far as I'm concerned.
>>64624726That’s PETG and a mix of HDPE won’t be all that great The plastic used in 3d printers is a byproduct of food waste anyway like the yogurt run off and high fructose corn syrup
>>64624726You can use bacterial readily available to break the plastic down and turn it into nuclear missles.
>>64624726I thought bacteria has already evolved and is slowly eating away at the plastic trash island in the ocean
>>64740970>>64743919Bacteria that break down plastic are pretty rare. No reason they cant evolve, its still a form of hydrocarbon so there is useable energy in it. But they would be extremophiles. Thing is, if they ever evolve and propagate at scale, plastic starts to lose its primary use of being a hard material that doesnt decay (other than from UV). If plastic just decays because badteria eat it, then at that point wood and metal would be more useful.

Do wooden logs work as armor or is it cope?
>>64677114>>Blyat! I will dig that out and hammer on it by the fire later. Maybe valuable inside.
On aggregate level it's not worth it as it causes extra wear and tear on the engine and transmission system of the vehicle. However individual crews don't care about that, so in their view even little help is worth it.
>>64682830The cope cages are supposed to help keep the roof protected from the small shit dropped by quad copter drones, not a javelin attack.
>>64743826The original cope cage was expressly an anti-Javelin measure, that's why they're called cope cages. They do have some utility as slat armor though, which as you pointed out works against the flotsam dumped on tank roofs from drones. The Israelis deployed Merkavas with cages for that purpose when the current Gaza imbroglio kicked off.

>>64746445>That long extractor design is just cheaper and easier to manufacture.I see that all the time but don't understand. On the Sig the short extractor is just a block of metal, spring, and rod, and it all pops into the gun and magically stays put somehow. The long extractor has two springs, a pin that needs hammered through the frame, and a hole in it for the pin. Nothing about it seems simpler.
>>64747310We’re working on it Since we lack the industrial or chemical engineers we’ll instead make gun cotton the old way and dissolve it with alcohol, dope it with nitroglycerin and roll it into cordite Expert says we can scale up this year and it’s totally safeOur first ammo batch will be so safe I test it out myself

The fact that a president of a state could be kidnapped by SOF, doesn't it mean that nuclear war could be "won" against a nuclear power? Just send SOF, kidnap their president alongside his "nuclear football". Point a gun in the head of his wife and kids so he gives up the nuclear codes. Then proceed to nuke each airbase of that country and naval bases with nuclear bombers and SSBNs and the major cities of that country. This leaves only the patrolling SSBNs for launching a counter strike. But still, this "simple" specops mission would have transformed a massive, unmanageable nuclear exchange into a limited engagement that modern Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) might actually be able to manage and thus win the nuclear war.t. >>64719453I kinda doubt there's a SIOP for nuking our own bases. So, having the football, the President, and a general with nuclear authority (somebody has to authenticate that it's actually the NCA reading the codes by reading their own codes) probably isn't enough.

>>64747322looks just like the add-on armour they tried for the Comet tank. it was removed when they discovered it did not contribute significantly, if at all, to protection against anti-tank AP shells.so keep in mind that modern tank spaced armour, therefore, is not just a matter of spacing out the armour. it is how that armour is mounted and spaced, that matters.

Are there any videos/articles that predicted, either horribly or eerily well, how Russia's war in Ukraine would go? Anyone have experience with Polish Night vision optic? It seems, finding a 1NP34/1PN58 is rare and expensive, polish one have somewhat okay prices.
>>64746895I had a 1PN58 before they got real expensive. It worked well enough for gen 1 nv but the reticle led was burnt out and getting a replacement is basically impossible.

>>64746329Shit my bad, thought that said 22 minute 2 mile. Go for it. Test your 5mi time and aim for 37:30 or below like I said, and look to be able to max or nearly max (>95pts) all AFT events (especially deadlift, it's kinda the "thing" to be good at for Rangers). At RASP you will be smoked when doing most of the gated events, so you want to comfortably exceed the standards before attending to ensure you can pass it all. Ex. be able to do a 12 miler in ~2:30 with 50-60lbs and you should comfortably pass even after getting smoked at Cole Range beforehand. That said, keep in mind that you will have all of OSUT plus however long you spend in pre RASP before you actually do any of this. Your cardio will likely improve in OSUT because you'll be forced to run a lot more.
