I pretty much only ever play casual games so it's easy to just go over each unit before game start to explain what options exactly they're fielding.>>97353235>Sadly it only looks good under bright light, in any setting other than a spot light it just looks a dark indescribable something with yellow trimIt's an honourable standard that has seen many battles, it's visage dusty and sooted from innumerable arquebus volleys... It would a shame to part with such history merely because its colours have faded under the suns of endless campaigning...No but unironically it looks top, maybe like go back in to add more highlights or something? I love the Saxon theme, one of the better german heraldic traditions if you ask me. The weird vegetal crown they have that Barbarossa allegedly gave them, the wild man motif, it all works very well for Warhammer. Could make an entire jade order themed army out of it with some digging. Also I cba to check that rn, but I'm almost certain there's Wildmen motifs used in like Mordheim at least, it's such an obvious thing. I think it definitely works for an Empire army. Mordheim had endless illustrations based on weird Renaissance symbols like that (green lions, green suns, knight & death, talking animals, gargantua-style wreathed ogres) so to me those fit perfectly with the Empire aesthetic, even if they're maybe not as present in WHFB.
>>97354939Bloodbowl v 2026 is coming out, so makes sense. All its changes look decent to good, and it's still the best game they've ever produced. It was completely by accident. But still the best.I do think we'll get some stuff anyway, they just wanted only 4 graphics for the preview.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Their barks can carry the weight of divine authority, capable of frightening demons or "howling" a prayer that bolsters allies.Sub-Race: The Desert Raiders (The African Variant).Trait: Carrion Sense. They can smell blood or decay from miles away, making them the ultimate bounty hunters of the Silk Road.Social Status: In the East, they are seen as noble guardians. >>97352992I don't know if it would work as a full chaos faction, but I kind of wish GW allowed Belakor to Ascend and become a full on chaos god of darkness. A god dedicated to darkness, silence, stealth and treachery would be a fun concept to play with.

>>97345624Yes. It's so the retard consumers who are obsessed with this particular super villian keep buying another one. You'll probably be fine, so don't worryThat's good to know. But to defend the shitslop oc...I just really like Bloodborne and I thought the bowblade is the coolest shit. It was originally going to be a regular curved sword, but I felt like playing into the fact she was a farmhand previously worked better. So there'd be a reason to have a scythe, but it being a regular one for cutting grass, it's shit for anything else. Mostly for "aura points". Since I think sister Friede is cool too, although visually inspired more by undertaker, lucatiel and [spoile]the lolcow mascot[/spoiler]I thought of the comparison while writing the post of an apathetic non human character who's an asshole to non humans, but the reference wasn't intended. Yet playing into the whole disguise of a Yuan Ti thing, I felt like it being known as a bow only to her teammates but to anyone else like a cool scythe or something would be a neat dichotomy. And to make another reference Joel from Pointless who, uses his gun as an intimidation factor even though it's useless (1 bullet only) since once you're close to her and know, she's just a stupid hick it's no longer effective, but before that slightly imposing.

How much would/should changing the default setting from High Medieval to Late Bronze Age change the game? For example, lowering AC across the board to simulate the lack of general armour. How much would that affect balance?
>>97353965India's one of the places with longest history of civilization, anon. It might not be civilized today because it hasn't made it to the 21st century, but back in the Bronze Age I don't think Egypt was any more advanced or civilized than the Indus Valley Civilization.
>>97350722D&D is practically that already, you just need to extract a few items.
>>97355062>but back in the Bronze Age I don't think Egypt was any more advanced or civilized than the Indus Valley Civilizationyou would be wrong
>>97355062It depends on how you count and it's all up for debate because a lot of exciting discoveries are being made over the last 20 years. But yes, that's right. Sumer starts having "cities" before either one, but the Indus Valley and Egypt both appear around the end of the 4th millenium bce (3300-3000). But yeah, it's dope. Also the Indus Valley civilization was in the Indus Valley. Which isn't in India (mostly). Also India just isn't some uncivilized shithole. It's rad and democratic and english-speaking. What it is? Fucking huge. And it's got corrupt officials and huge wealth inequity. Which all pretty much equally apply to the US. Go look at the worst off parts of Appalachia where literacy is around 65%. India is neat.
>>97355062>>97355107Oh, also it's mostly called Harrapan (after the type-site) rather than "Indus Valley Civilization" in professional literature because A. that's the right convention for naming archeological civilizations and B. >>97354566>mental weaknessNTA, but calling it weakness is entirely accurate. A man who can't pick up his infant son is just objectively physically weak (ie. less strong than expected for his species). A man who can't get arsed to get out of bed and provide for himself and his family is mentally weak (ie. less motivated or disciplined than expected for his species). And I'm saying this as someone who still "deals with depression" or whatever we're gonna call being a weak cunt.Acknowledging your weaknesses as weaknesses and flaws is a necessary step in overcoming them. People achieving things despite their weaknesses does not mean that they didn't have those weaknesses or that those things weren't weak, just that they overcame them or compensated.A deaf nigga that paints a nice painting is still deaf (ie. having extremely weak hearing). The cure for weakness is strength.
Depression is just not enjoying life, it's that simple. This anon is retarded >>97354667
>>97354937>t. guy who has the strength to do enjoyable stuff
>>97354667This is to buy into the idea though that mental illness is not illness. Both depression and MS are ultimately physiological, even if the symptoms they exhibit are different. I don’t think most of us look at someone with an ‘obvious’ ‘physical’ illness and see it as a character flaw. To draw an artificial category distinction, both ‘physical’ and ‘mental’ illnesses can be helped through pharmacological intervention and non-medicinal coping strategies and behavioural changes. For both categories, the latter are often more difficult than the former for obvious reasons: a pill doesn't have to fight habits and behaviours often long ingrained by coping with a particular illness. The body shepherds its energies for survival and is loathe to expend them ‘unnecessarily’. It’s one of the cruellest paradoxes of any long term illness. Most people with depression do get out of bed to provide for themselves and their families, not least because they have no other choice. I know you aren’t that anonymous, but you both seem to think that people with depression have no self-awareness and would kill to be able to just ‘stop that fag shit’. I don’t want special treatment or accommodations - I want to be normal, productive, functioning and socially contributory, and it would be nice if those efforts came to feel normal, easy and healthy.
