>Don;t they have all the rules published
Tabletop rules infamously can't be copyrighted I'm pretty sure, so publishers have to fall back on shit like icons and saying that actually keyword "Drukhari Spaerchuckkkers" is within their IP and can't be used by third parties
>imagine white wont be any better
NTA but the nu citadel white actually has pretty good cover, 2 coats is usually enough.

Personally I always build as many full command options as I reckon I need out of a box, because it's fun and looks nice. I pretty much only ever play casual games so it's easy to just go over each unit before game start to explain what options exactly they're fielding.
>>97353235
>Sadly it only looks good under bright light, in any setting other than a spot light it just looks a dark indescribable something with yellow trim
It's an honourable standard that has seen many battles, it's visage dusty and sooted from innumerable arquebus volleys... It would a shame to part with such history merely because its colours have faded under the suns of endless campaigning...

No but unironically it looks top, maybe like go back in to add more highlights or something? I love the Saxon theme, one of the better german heraldic traditions if you ask me. The weird vegetal crown they have that Barbarossa allegedly gave them, the wild man motif, it all works very well for Warhammer. Could make an entire jade order themed army out of it with some digging. Also I cba to check that rn, but I'm almost certain there's Wildmen motifs used in like Mordheim at least, it's such an obvious thing. I think it definitely works for an Empire army. Mordheim had endless illustrations based on weird Renaissance symbols like that (green lions, green suns, knight & death, talking animals, gargantua-style wreathed ogres) so to me those fit perfectly with the Empire aesthetic, even if they're maybe not as present in WHFB.

Bloodbowl v 2026 is coming out, so makes sense. All its changes look decent to good, and it's still the best game they've ever produced. It was completely by accident. But still the best.
I do think we'll get some stuff anyway, they just wanted only 4 graphics for the preview.
>>
>>97355067
>I do think we'll get some stuff anyway, they just wanted only 4 graphics for the preview.
if it's not on the graphic it's not in the reveal, at best we'll get teasers, but otherwise we're inbound for some monday reveal down the line instead

probably after the second cathay wave drops, they can't risk splitting the hype for it

What's the story behind that sword?

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.

Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:

The Cynocephali (The Dog-Headed)
Based on the legends of St. Christopher and the accounts of Marco Polo.

Sub-Race: The Saint’s Kin (The Orthodox Variant).

Trait: Bark of the Word. Their barks can carry the weight of divine authority, capable of frightening demons or "howling" a prayer that bolsters allies.

Sub-Race: The Desert Raiders (The African Variant).

Trait: Carrion Sense. They can smell blood or decay from miles away, making them the ultimate bounty hunters of the Silk Road.

Social Status: In the East, they are seen as noble guardians. In the West, they are often caught in a theological debate: Do they have souls? If they can pray, the Church allows them; if they only howl, they are hunted.

Yes. It's so the retard consumers who are obsessed with this particular super villian keep buying another one. NTA but using that word alone makes you the pretentious one. Besides, it's lore that was clearly thought out and vibes with the idea of making the setting more spiritual and magical as opposed to white wolf's cynicism and ham fisted deconstruction.
>>
>>97354897
NTA, but it was the devs who started the numinous trend, the most egregious case being "for a numinous reason, city fathers take after their cities".
>>
>>97354908
I get that, but it's obviously being used sarcastically to deride what seems like an honest effort to amusingly actually make the setting more numinous as per its real definition. Braindead posting
>>
>>97354931
"Show, don't tell", saying something is numinous, doesn't make it so; the devs just wrote a bunch of empty mystery boxes.

Fun fact there are like old video games with deedlit as the mc and the human died a long time ago
She meets Leaf that one half elf girl from the manga
So whatever happened between them didn't last anyways and she's having her own adventures
Pirotess might be the same
In the end both of them build a bridge and got over it which is more than you can say about most other elves who keep crying about their dead pets instead of doing the mentally healthy thing
>>
>>97354708
That's basically Deedlit in wonder labyrinth, you might mean the dreamcast game though.

In general elves that used to be enemies meeting 200 years later and realizing that there's no point in fighting because the conflict hasn't been relevant the last 190 years is another underused elf thing
>>
>>97355132
So, pirotess and deedlit lezzing it out right over their human lovers graves?

>Only real way to "mess up" is not tabulating things correctly from the rulebook to your character sheet or making a character that is antagonistic to the party. You'll probably be fine, so don't worry
That's good to know.
But to defend the shitslop oc...I just really like Bloodborne and I thought the bowblade is the coolest shit. It was originally going to be a regular curved sword, but I felt like playing into the fact she was a farmhand previously worked better. So there'd be a reason to have a scythe, but it being a regular one for cutting grass, it's shit for anything else. Mostly for "aura points". Since I think sister Friede is cool too, although visually inspired more by undertaker, lucatiel and [spoile]the lolcow mascot[/spoiler]
I thought of the comparison while writing the post of an apathetic non human character who's an asshole to non humans, but the reference wasn't intended. Yet playing into the whole disguise of a Yuan Ti thing, I felt like it being known as a bow only to her teammates but to anyone else like a cool scythe or something would be a neat dichotomy. And to make another reference Joel from Pointless who, uses his gun as an intimidation factor even though it's useless (1 bullet only) since once you're close to her and know, she's just a stupid hick it's no longer effective, but before that slightly imposing.

India's one of the places with longest history of civilization, anon. It might not be civilized today because it hasn't made it to the 21st century, but back in the Bronze Age I don't think Egypt was any more advanced or civilized than the Indus Valley Civilization.
>>
>>97350722
D&D is practically that already, you just need to extract a few items.
>>
>>97355062
>but back in the Bronze Age I don't think Egypt was any more advanced or civilized than the Indus Valley Civilization
you would be wrong
>>
>>97355062
It depends on how you count and it's all up for debate because a lot of exciting discoveries are being made over the last 20 years. But yes, that's right. Sumer starts having "cities" before either one, but the Indus Valley and Egypt both appear around the end of the 4th millenium bce (3300-3000). But yeah, it's dope.

Also the Indus Valley civilization was in the Indus Valley. Which isn't in India (mostly).

Also India just isn't some uncivilized shithole. It's rad and democratic and english-speaking. What it is? Fucking huge. And it's got corrupt officials and huge wealth inequity. Which all pretty much equally apply to the US. Go look at the worst off parts of Appalachia where literacy is around 65%. India is neat.
>>
>>97355062
>>97355107
Oh, also it's mostly called Harrapan (after the type-site) rather than "Indus Valley Civilization" in professional literature because A. that's the right convention for naming archeological civilizations and B. India and Pakistan are in an entirely political and stupid fight about what counts as what where.

>mental weakness
NTA, but calling it weakness is entirely accurate. A man who can't pick up his infant son is just objectively physically weak (ie. less strong than expected for his species). A man who can't get arsed to get out of bed and provide for himself and his family is mentally weak (ie. less motivated or disciplined than expected for his species).
And I'm saying this as someone who still "deals with depression" or whatever we're gonna call being a weak cunt.
Acknowledging your weaknesses as weaknesses and flaws is a necessary step in overcoming them. People achieving things despite their weaknesses does not mean that they didn't have those weaknesses or that those things weren't weak, just that they overcame them or compensated.
A deaf nigga that paints a nice painting is still deaf (ie. having extremely weak hearing).

The cure for weakness is strength.

This is to buy into the idea though that mental illness is not illness. Both depression and MS are ultimately physiological, even if the symptoms they exhibit are different. I don’t think most of us look at someone with an ‘obvious’ ‘physical’ illness and see it as a character flaw. To draw an artificial category distinction, both ‘physical’ and ‘mental’ illnesses can be helped through pharmacological intervention and non-medicinal coping strategies and behavioural changes. For both categories, the latter are often more difficult than the former for obvious reasons: a pill doesn't have to fight habits and behaviours often long ingrained by coping with a particular illness. The body shepherds its energies for survival and is loathe to expend them ‘unnecessarily’. It’s one of the cruellest paradoxes of any long term illness.

Most people with depression do get out of bed to provide for themselves and their families, not least because they have no other choice. I know you aren’t that anonymous, but you both seem to think that people with depression have no self-awareness and would kill to be able to just ‘stop that fag shit’. I don’t want special treatment or accommodations - I want to be normal, productive, functioning and socially contributory, and it would be nice if those efforts came to feel normal, easy and healthy.

The base Necromancer ability is soul trap I am assume they have methods of ripping out souls from an incapacitated living target. The witches immortality specifically says immunity to her body being damaged nothing about soul manipulation, but her body would most likely stay alive even after you ripped out her soul.

Any good RPGs for doorkicking combat? Something kinda slick but hyper lethal, letting the PCs take down most mooks pretty quickly but always having the chance to lose it all with poor tactics. I've been running RED and it feels a bit pillow fisted but my group is afraid of RPGs from before the turn of the millennium

PCCS has for intro scenario SWAT team entering meth lab
it checks all your boxes if by "quickly" you mean with one good bullet hit, not in seconds of gameplay

if you cannot make effort to find it in /tg/ repository, stay away; it takes some work to correctly grasp mechanics
