I honestly doubt it is anything interesting to learn about, not even thinking about it in a wargaming context! Pre-gunpowder warfare is just lines walking into each other. Early gunpowder warfare is just lines walking close to each other, before occasionally walking into each other. The tactics and interesting decision making is at the very highest level. But we are miniature wargamers here, and any good representation of the interesting scales of pre-industrial war tend to abstract a ton. You have four 28mm figures standing on a base representing a Regiment, or something totally ridiculous like that. We may as well be playing hex and chit, except WW2 also makes for more interesting scenarios than hex and chit.

The aesthetics are absolutely lovely and they make for good grand strategy games, but don't try to convince me into some retarded conflict that can only be represented by the silliest combination of scale and abstraction. The same also goes for any conflict after WW2.

so unless you are running cendril on top, which already makes its own tokens, nah, its not very useful.

yes playing from trash is nice, yes it makes for great overclock fodder, but deleting itself and no warp makes it a lot worse.
this is solely so you can self proc kaguya's effect despite what your opponent has on their board. it isn't worthless, but there are 2 chaperos that are at least as good as it and for the most part better.

There's going to be another Kaguyamon in this set most likely. You also get additional value from the On Play or On Deletion effects of the Digimon you play, namely searcher Shoemon, On Deletion make a token Shoemon, or Hanimon letting you get back something from trash to hand. And I also don't think it's THAT dangerous to split between Chaperomon and Karakurumon if you're running Nyaabootmon, admittedly I don't play the deck but it seems like Nyaaboot is still good if you evo it from a level 6.

you already have a chapero that plays down if you desperately need the overclock and it allows for the warp
if you are only running 2 chapero then you are not going to expect to warp and aren't going to be running many nyabootmon, but he is your main damage push. generally you get kaguya out, kaguya plays the 4, evo it to a 5 warp to nyaboot and that is enough board to end the game.

the "problem" with nyaboot is you don't want to evo it over kaguya, because then you lose the the clap back when protecting and you lose your blocker/alliance
so unless you are intending to to make two kaguya and then go into nyaboot (which is more expensive and requires more cards) it just isn't going to happen.

The random chaos seems fun. The blacksmith is just my Not-DM character whos meant to nudge the players in the right direction at the beginning of the story. I plan for him to leave for a Dwarf Fortress™ shortly after their long-rest, and hopefully that will nudge the players into going with him, however it still doesnt add much to the plot, other than "look, cool thing here" which is what Im struggling with.

If you guys have any reasons for the players to stay in a group canonically Id greatly appreciate it. I was going to try and weave their backstories, probably with a MacGuffin, or have the blacksmith ask them for defense in his travels. I know this is sort of Reddity in that I want all this explained in-game, but I think it would be more fun for my players.

I know my friends and them are more so interested in the actual gameplay part, (but they're also artists hence why I'm drawing this stuff) and I'd probably be interested in it too, but this is mostly all I have to go off of right now being the character creation. Which is something I like but I wish I could get more into the gameplay aspects, but I don't know much about DND.

Personality wise though what I had in my mind was that she's a complete fucking sperg, not dumb but lacks so much social awareness due to being a hick. Filled with race appropriate attitude regarding humans and the like, but still loves her parents. Almost everything will go above her head, but she's still smart. Most people can tell something is wrong and just assume she's schizo when she's in disguise since she doesn't know how regular people act.
Think in a way like Mizael from Zexal but oblivious to those around her. You could flirt with her and she'd think it was a threat

My LGS hosted a TOW escalation league recently and I was able to sit down and get nearly 2000 points of Lizardmen painted during its run. The only model I didn't paint out of the 2000 point army was my 20 year old Stegadon. The rest were brand new (or newly cut off the sprue) models, including the new Saurus. Though they don't rank up very good.

So, I’ve decided for my Triumph and Treachery event I’m going to setup a snack table for my opponents to enjoy. I did this at the Bay Area Open a few years ago and it was a big hit.

Since I’m bringing tomb kings, I want to bring foods that are on theme, aka Egyptian.

I’m thinking figs and dates, with honey, sesame crackers, a simple spreadable cheese, bread, and nuts. Does anyone have any ideas on what tomb kings may have eaten that can go on my snack table?

3.PF or OSR/adjacent.
5e occupies an awkward middleground for me. If I want something streamlined with a bit of character customization for modern sensibilities, I would go lighter than 5e and probably pick Worlds Without Number.

If I want more mechanical depth in exchange for prep taking 20-30% longer, I would play 3.PF. It is crunchier, it is tedious getting key numbers pre-computed, but swapping out some feats can provide a lot of tactical variety to enemies. The skills can be a bit tedious and specific, but there are UA variations you can use to simplify.

I definitely prefer the thought of a information network time gated by jump mechanics. It can create some very interesting scenarios, and it can give players an actual sort of soft currency of exchanging news when they hit out of the way spots that aren't on the major trade paths

Yes. It is illegal to use dice as counters in sanctioned events. The official reason is that they cannot be confused with other game elements, and while Dice mechanics are not at all common, they are still a thing that exists. The unofficial reason is because of how easy it is to either cheat, or accidentally roll something like a D20 to a different value.

Chaos was associated with the ocean because back then it meant the primordial abyss from which all life came from. Chaos being associated with disorder is a more recent invention.

What are some other divine spheres of influence that would for other Chaos-aligned gods? I always felt like Warhammer's Chaos gods could have had theirs chosen better.

I don't know if it would work as a full chaos faction, but I kind of wish GW allowed Belakor to Ascend and become a full on chaos god of darkness. A god dedicated to darkness, silence, stealth and treachery would be a fun concept to play with.

The problem with 4th is outrageous inter codex balance.

Otherwise the biggest problems it has are tank spam, wound allocation hero units and quasi flyers.

Strongly recomend you play with all books and IA, and kick anyone with leafblower guard/GK psyfle spam or 700pts of nob bikers/wolfwolves in the nuts.
