I've spent the last year, studying, and designing a custom Arthurian set, originally intended to be based on Le Morte d'Arthur (like how P3k was based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms). However, as I continued to study, and look into different (and some obscure sources) this turned into a much more wider net. This set, which is no where near finished includes>Welsh Triads and The Magnibong>Pre-Vulgate Arthur traditions>Vulgate/Post Vulgate/Lancelot cycles>some English/Welsh fairy tales>and even a bit of the Victorian Arthurian revival (especially for art). I avoided the Italian and German romances entirely, and tried not to include weird outliners except when needed. Outside of art, nothing is sourced from the 20th century or onward. You draw two cards a turn, you have a supplemental resource system to curb excess discards, there's a lot of recursion built into the game, uniqueness, etc.Speaking of that supplemental system, 'lands' do stuff in FFTCG. Often it's to fix draws or get powerful one-time effects.Power plateau over curve. Card stats start high and soft caps at mid cost. This is more of a design philosophy but 'floating' stats at low card costs allows you to pull them down when you want to make cheap but meaningful effects.The super-color concept they use is also neat and has interesting implications.

What are some of your experiences with BRP or mythras? Favorite stories, characters, or supplements? I generally like running pulp or horror campaigns. Funniest story setup was how my players thwarted a small series of adventures I planned before it even started.>Players role up an old priest, a journalist, and basically fred from scooby doo. >Investigating a series of murders and disappearances. >Get captured thesmelves and wind up in a rundown factory converted to sort of look likea victorian mansion.>Meet an obvious vampire who uses them for basic company and conversation before planning to kill them.>My players escape, the frail priest manages to full nelson the vampire, and the other players manage to use a stake to kill him. It ended what I planned to be a multi session adventure in one night. It was a lot of lucky roles and ended up with being funny.

I picked up cults of zahak. I really enjoy it. It adds a lot of material to work with and good starting points of inspiration to work into almost any campaign. The whole exclusive evil tree of magic is neat too. The magic includes a lot of stuff that creates narratives right there for you.I ended up making an idea for a corrupted idol in it. Ended up combining sections of the crystal and the rock idols into one that is a corrupted set of genealogy family trees, their heroes, and what they did in life. It is an idol of books and archives twisted to always show pages of your own failings or your family members' failings from any angle.
