Why do you think it ports poorly?
>>
>>97353484
Because buildings don't tend to fight back, so designing encounters around attacking buildings rather than active enemies is sorta boring.

Demolishing buildings can normally wait until all the enemy are dead, and if you have the resources, knowhow and unlimited time to work; rolling damage against the building is a pointless waste of time out of combat, and the DM should instead determine simply how long it takes.

Abstracting a building's HP only makes sense if you are trying to destroy a structure while in combat with actual enemies, where time would be of the essence, or a particular piece of building collapsing could be used to your advantage.
However, if you have enough firepower to level a building, chances are you're better off applying it directly to the target, assuming a D&D-like game.

Rules for destroying terrain are best used for wargames, particularly ones with modern-ish or futuristic warfare, rather than roleplaying games, where the crunch is quicker and dirtier, and effects like units being trapped in a collapsing building are likely to be relevant.

That and in a tabletop RPG there's nothing stopping a competent DM from just eyeballing when a building needs to collapse, or a bridge give way for the purposes of narrative, or by rudimentary common sense.

I mean, if the purpose of your campaign is beating up terrain instead of monsters then you do you.

DnD is in no way "generic". I think you mean setting agnostic. GURPS and Cypher are generic because they can be any genre. DnD is only fantasy, arguably only superhero high-magic fantasy. You'd need to take a blowtorch to it to make it sword and sorcery, let alone sci fi or contemporary
>>
>>97353372
Anon, "generic" as a term refers to being nonspecific WITHIN A GENRE. Hence the shared root.

Just how a general view of making a character and if I'm on the right track kinda or whatever....I dunno... Aieee. It's not like I made in an "anime" style on purpose more so I just can't draw for fucking shit. I feel more comfortable in the character itself though just from some slight feedback here. I don't know much about the series either, so I'm just asking stuff...that's why I apologized in my original post for it being a retarded post. I think with the tone of the campaign the guy is setting up though I don't imagine it'll be very lighthearted so there's probably less chances for the character to be irritating. And it's not like the others are into rping.

Personally I like open play. A kind of hexmap with an ongoing plot for them to pursue but open enough for them to go where they want. Here's a guide written on /tg/ about railroading vs sandboxes https://www.mediafire.com/file/9iqsz2riqgoa1z8/Sandbox_Railroading_Tracks_in_the_Sand.pdf/file

I also recommend having a read through the lazy dm's guide. I don't follow his formula exactly but it helps remind you of what matters in games and where to put your energy while preparing sessions. https://files.catbox.moe/ak5pjx.pdf

Because it's a 3d printed topper you glue to a regular base. It seems to be exactly the size of the bottom of a GW base and I guess the modeler didn't account for the bevel. It looks weird from this angle, but I kind of dig it at tabletop height.

I like the army of little naked berserker priests. Don't get my wrong, I like armored dwarfs too but I'm really hoping they don't trash the whole identity of fyrelsayers just to appeal to more generic fantasy tropes. >>
>>97350281
While Exalted has always to a degree sold itself as a power fantasy, it's definitely also the case that some fans tend to wildly exaggerate the degree to which it's supposed to be a powerfantasy. As for Deathlords and Yozis co-operating in regards to the Jade Prison, they had common interests in this one specific regard. It's not like they have any kind of a long-term alliance going on.

>>97350492
Why should Exaltations be something different than what they have since 1E been written to be, anon?

>>97352283
>, just kidding you just got a green lantern ring Conky carelessly threw around
That's not how Exaltation is presented in any edition, though. Exaltations are wondrous things of awesome power. Getting one is not reincarnation, but it means that you're a continuation of the legacy of heroes from bygone eras. Exaltations are also, while wondrous things, actually things, and they can, with great effort and difficulty, be locked away. There's nothing really dissonant or inconsistent about any of this.
>>
>>97353247
The basic metaphysics of the setting is that it reality runs on the stories it's inhabitants tell, which is why the raw reality of the wyld is the way it is.

Creation is built on top of the wyld, with rules laid down atop. But because the base metaphysics are narrative, you can tell damn near any legend you like if you have enough power.

The catch is, others also have that power.

Exalted could slay and imprison the primordials.

Exalted could cage other exalted.

The deathlords were once elder Solars. They are no longer exalted, but they cultivated power whilst exalted and are granted new life by the neverborn, they are the next best thing, and they nearly destroyed creation.

There are 700 celestials, all with varied ambitions. There are far more terrestrials, and in teams those too can bring low anything they please. The yozis and neverborn scheme. Fae seek to tear down the blasphemy of creation.

That’s what those design are. It’s not just cats, those little Ewoks from the Pillars of Eternity looked off in a more realistic style. It’s a terrible design that’s only saved by artstyle. It's cheaper to buy a resin printer and accessories than it is to build a 1k point 40k army. One Page Rules it is. I already have a 3d printer so I think I'm going to print some terrain to see if I like the idea of printing/painting minis before I go crazy buying things.
Any recommendations for free terrain models that are fdm friendly? I saw a guy who made 12" square panels with a 6x6 grid on each panel for easy 2" reference/measuring. I didn't mind the look of it but I can see how some people would hate it. What do you think?
>>
>>97350952
It's a decent game, remember to use optional rules like extra actions for a better experience.
>>
>>97349839
There is some asymmetric balance to this but those that look "underdeveloped" are just as strong as others.

Basic rules are that there is an initiative roll based off of a D6 + the highest command score of an unit you field. Whomever is high roll goes first.
You roll 12 d6 (and can reroll up to 8) for what are essentially action points.
It has a simple dice system using d6, d8, d10, and d12.
Roll to hit is based on enemy defense and you roll the respective dice and number of dice per attack.
Each successful point of damage is counter-rolled based on enemy defense values. There are certain levels of offense which can physically overpower defenses (such as rolling a high 10 on a d10 and the defense is only d8).
Damage is done by either casualties for infantry or damage values on vehicles.

You're probably thinking of "Corsairs" and Reclaimers which are the games version of "quality over quantity"
