I hope you're right, because something like an abomination on the loose makes for a very conspicuous diversion.
>>
>>97359307
The fact that you're even in a position to be gabbing speaks volumes. I've seen what happens when someone wants to wipe out people. I know how you wipe out populations.

Something else is happening here little princess. You have resources. Make sure you're asking the right questions.

I understand and sympathize, Scarlet
Blue Fairy, where was the abomination located, don't ask why, just trust me.
Venus, you are lucky. That is all I will say and I speak from experience. -Kakophoni

If the situation demands it, I will take Boy Toy to Scholar. Hopefully we can fix this, depending on what kind of abomination it is.
>>
>>97359245
Black Hand/Tal'mahe'Ra isn't involved from what little info I've been provided, they aren't the type to create an abomination let alone let it run free.
I have suspicions but I really hope I'm wrong. I do hope to visit Boy Toy to see how he's acting. -Kakophoni

It is pretty much canon in 3e, Lunars come with built-in hatred for the Realm, and Dragon-Blooded instinctually build civilizations to hunt the other Exalted types.

I think the next revival movement in a sinilar vein to the OSR is going to be 3rd edition focussed. I think that granular, complex build focussed market isnt really served by 5e or pathfinder truly, and theres empty space in the market/community.

>>
>>97359534
DCC and Castles and Crusades have the most 3.x DNA imo.
>>
>>97357928
i think someone will find a way. yes i agree on the emerging gameplay part but it does not need that many combinations to get out of hand.
and with the way it is handled sometimes it is even unnecessary. someone ran calculations on exalted i think and found that certain combos just average to 1 damage for a bazillion dice thrown. at that point why bother
>>
>>97357928
I think 3.x is most fun from level 3-15, but really 5-11.
>>
I like build variety and not every build has to be equally viable/strong. Every build should have some power, yes, but not every game should devolve (or evolve) into 3-6 demigods trampling all over everyone

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>How do I get started?

There are two ways to handle this that could even be used together. One is it can only be transferred under certain circumstances, like the full moon. An other is only strong werewolves can do it. Not really sure how to apply that to WoD/CofD. Speaking of which, Forsaken does also have a Facet that can temporarily make people shitty, out of control werewolves and it is also possible for Lunacy to turn someone into a Wolf-Blooded, making it sort of transmissible.

It's not tabletop passable, the CRT scanlines will show up like crazy with paint. And no you cannot tell me you're able to get into every crevice to sand them all down nicely.
>>
>>97359494
what isn't effortless about it? you click slice, you push the start button then you swirl it in a jar of ISO, drop it in a container of hot water and the supports practically detach themselves.

you have to use mask, gloves, watch for the resin to not get stuck, to not drop resin anywhere, to clean the VAT

fdm is import into slicer, press print
>>
>>97359701
>you have to use mask, gloves, watch for the resin to not get stuck, to not drop resin anywhere, to clean the VAT
No, no, no and no
resin is also import into slicer and click print, the failures do to improper supports are just as prevalent, with resin it's as simple as using a good slicer like lychee to auto support, with fdm you often have to redesign the file to prevent failures.
I use both, both have strengths and weaknesses, the problems with resin usually occur with catastrophic failures, being too cheap and using an FEP sheet too long, having it break and then dealing with a mess as you try to drain it back into the bottle with a hole in it.
vat cleaning? a joke, if you have a resin failure you remove the vat, you gently press underneath with your finger to lift an edge and then remove the bit of solid resin.
gloves are unnecessary, mask is being a paranoid bitch, even the MSDS states that the only long term risks of resin are to aquatic life if you dispose of liquid resin improperly, but why would you dump out liquid resin? that's your desired material, the only resin you should be disposing of is failures that can't be used and cast off supports, but even failures often get repurposed into things like objective markers, terrain scraps and sources of spare weapon bits, etc...
with FDM a failure an result in burning your fucking house down, you can walk away from a resin print, you can't walk away from an FDM, at least not without taking a risk.
that's not to say you should print in FDM, it's an incredible tool and I use it for far more than just hobbying, FDM can and does produce useful objects for everyday life and even here on the farm I save thousands of dollars making incidental parts for the tractor and other heavy equipment that the dealer would charge me absurd amounts for.

Make new friends and hype them up to play a game until we actually play the game, I've done it twice, with my first playgroup being my normal friends who we've just stopped RP games and mostly play MtG, then my second group was co-workers about 2 years ago. My third group has members of the previous group but unlike the previous one, everyone shows up for every session (for the most part), which is made easier by the fact that we play using a digital tabletop so people can play from home.

12/10/8/6 isn't based on statistics, though. It's completely based on vibes. You're just counting down from 12 by 2, it's way too pretty.
>>
>>97359679
12 is ran because its a 95% chance to have a rookie in 1 of your 2 hands with a mulligan.
its also why searcher rookies still have a lot of value because you have a very good chance of finding finding >1 (75%)

11 is 93% and 70% chance
10 is 90% and a 65% chance

when you add in consistency options this gets a lot smoother, and its more complicated when going 2nd because of the extra draw + chance to play a training without passing turn in many situations (or another search) and it is based on maths. or at least feel based testing that is then proven to be reasonable based on maths.

the 10/8/6 step down is just because you need less of the higher levels and to fit into the rest of your deck but isn't really maths based
if you want to run 12/9/7/5 you will be fine. cutting lvl 3's can lead to lot more no rookie games, especially if you are limited in what else you can open alongisde that rookie, many decks are happy to run 10 rookies because they have so many other plays to go with them and can just pretty much solely mulligan for them, others need more specific pieces and cutting down rookie counts is a huge problem.
>>

Could do something with force organization charts for basic troop requirements and X number of upgrades depending on the mission or other factors. The upgrades or support elements get picked from a different list army dependent.

Sorry, for the other anons Ash from GMG. I figure his name would be recognizable since he positioned himself at "the awg guy" for so many years.

All I'll say is that optimizing his filming schedule to maximize the capitalistic exploitation of the community that puts food on his table is VERY on brand for his assholish personality. He has truly never given a shit about awgs and it's almost impressive that people still platformed him for like a decade now

Force organizations that are highly thematic and restricted. Pick a list of related units, take variant A, B, or C for that list which changes up exactly what's in it but are all still line with its base concept. Make each player pick the same number and maybe types of lists.

So much this. I want to skim an 'army book' of a game Im familiar with and immediately pick up on which faction it is because they're all distinct in fun and meaningful ways. The worst games are ones where you cover names and show me stat lines and abilities and I have no clue

Apart from the rampart series and similar where it's designed to let you make yourdudes yourway with what you might have on hand of course
