Read the 3e core book (link below). For mechanics of the old edition, play this tutorial:http://mengtzu.github.io/exalted/sakuya.html
It’ll get you familiar with most of the mechanics.

>If you’ve ever had a campaign set during Calibration, what did you and the other members of your Circle do during the holiday?
We mainly did new years eve style partying. The town we were in believed that if you did reckless actions, the bad luck of Calibration would pass you by, since you were willingly engaging in what it offered.

>Have you ever used Five Days Darkness in your campaigns? Especially as god of Calibration as he deserves to be.
I have not and didn't know 5DD even existed! Are there any good pics of him?

Why is this game so autistic about guns? They're no just crossbows but with an even slower reload.

Something about them breaking the Bronze Age feel, it is the same reason for why crossbows were treated as a black box tech.

>Bronze Age feel, it is the same reason for why crossbows were treated as a black box tech.
They kinda break that up too, because they say people have triremes, but triremes weren't designed during the Bronze Age, they would have possibly biremes or just single row galleys. Plus they say the Realm uses triremes as warships when they should be using liburnae (which are technically biremes) and quadriremes/quinqueremes from the more advanced knowledge they have access to while keeping the Rome aesthetic. I feel like for more visual variety in ship type they could also have junks, to fit the Chinese aesthetics.
It could also be that they do have advanced sailing technology on them, but they just all look like triremes.

The Enhanced Reflexes chaotic trait is good because Warriors are already good and ensorcelled S4 hand weapons are killier than S3 spears even with the extra rank. And not to mention that in this case the Warriors are also tankier because they get to use parry. My question was never "is initiative actually good", it was "is the extra 1 initiative that elves get actually helping them", because as far as I can tell the answer is not really. It's one of the worst racial traits imo. But this is all a gut feeling from games that I've played and I've not actually looked at any raw numbers that prove or disprove me so I'd rather ask around for more opinions.

The popularity of AI slop is strong evidence for the hylic hypothesis, they don't see any problem with soulless garbage because they don't have souls themselves.

Can't believe I'm going to bat for fucking 2hu, but he's more or less the opposite of an AI. Yes, he's autistic and he doesn't know how to be concise about anything, but his posts are all fundamentally driven by analysis--not of what word should come next, but of the rules of the game he's looking at. In contrast, AI models are principally driven by pattern-matching. Rather than looking for where a rule set might break down, they're "looking" to match the pattern of the current interaction to ones they've encountered before.

Nope!

That's the whole problem. I don't know if it's the director or the director's art production team but they didn't bother to disguise anything they lifted from IRL. Neither props, buildings or character identity.
>>
>>97259834
Depends on your taste. As a /k/ommando, I can tell you that definitely isn't an AK dust cover.

However, it retains the distinct AK form factor because they made no changes ahead of the foregrip, meaning the distinct step-up of the gas port and tube for the piston are there and obvious, the front sight post is still there, and perhaps most mystifyingly of all they give it a custom magazine which retains the distinctive banana shape of an AK mag. All in all, I'd say it's instantly recognizable as an AK.

>the player is not their character
You struggle a lot with the word "imagination" don't you? It is not a synonym for "reality". When you assume the role of a make believe character, you don't become that character. You are merely imagining that you are that character. It is playing pretend. And a voice actor isn't a "tranny" because they're voicing a character of a different gender. A player isn't one because they're playing a character of a different gender. You claimed that pretending to be a woman is indicative of heterosexuality. It seems you think I accused you of being transexual. I didn't. Do people call you transexual often?

The point of games like Mordheim or Necromunda is that they're modeling project, with an immersive ruleset to bring those models you've made into action. The rules have a lot of references for immersion, but the gameplay and tactics are fairly simple. You can choose to skip the modelling aspect when starting but you wouldn't be sticking to these game for long without delving into it.

New Mordheimer here, gonna play cult of the possessed. So my frame of reference to other gw games doesn’t really seem to apply here so I have 2 questions to get my list started

> I’ve read my main magister can be used as a melee character, so while he’s in his infancy is it more worth it to start him with light armor and a shield to bulk him up without worrying about casting or should o just give him a weapon and throw him in there
>I can’t tell if ws or s is more important so would I be better off with brethren to also give them some sort of ranged option since the rest of the list has none, or is the boost to strength from the dark souls way more important
Currently the plan is to run magister +2 vanilla possessed and use the rest of my starting funds on either brethren or ds but like I said, I have no real frame of reference here
>>
>>97259012

Kurwa Kowalski is quite possibly a Russian himself. There's a Russian from Yaktribe who posts here and spams his homebrew shit and has responded with anti-Ukraine sentiment when pressed (JawRippa). He is one of the more likely candidates for the arrogant ESL Necromunda poster. It's impossible to know without him admitting it, so we just have to accuse Kurwa Kowalski of being all possible ESL races who might dabble in Necromunda. Polish, Spanish, Finnish and French are all leading possibilities.

I served in the Army. You can absolutely tell within moments whether you're fighting an organized group or randos. You can usually tell just by looking at them without even having to see them fight.
>>
>>97258634
you can tell almost immediately by how they act around danger. Are they cowering at things that are scary but not threatening to them? Are they standing brave, ignorant, or foolhardy against a threat of imminent and pointless death? If yes to either they don’t know what they’re doing.

An experienced soldier in WWI could tell by the sound of an artillery shell whether or not it was bearing towards his position. It was an instinct that could only be picked up from experience. New recruits and even trained troops would always hunker down when artillery was coming, but the veterans would only go for cover during heavy bombing or when they knew the shell was coming for them. Their peers would look on in awe as if they were supremely brave, but really they just knew what was dangerous and what wasn’t.

Why were so many of the "OG" game designers insufferable faggots? It seems like the vast majority of game designers from the 70s and 80s were self-obsessed dickheads who openly hated and looked down on their customer base. There were obviously exceptions, and some like Gygax would go on to regret and apologize for it, but still, what made so many "professionals" back then such fags?

Pic related: WFRP author James Wallis's response to a letter criticizing how railroaded The Enemy Within campaign was.
