OP here, sorry for disappearing, am back. Was busy with work on some competition. Thanks for all the interest!

>Elemental is an online 1v1 card game where players build their decks and take turns playing cards from them. Their decks start weak, but they can improve them by buying better cards or removing weak ones. Each player also has some mana (used to play cards), gold (used to buy cards) and HP (if it reaches 0, the player loses). Some cards give gold, deal damage or restore HP, while others provide various forms of utility, shielding or buffs. Seven elemental dice determine the strengths of various cards: Chance, Fire, Earth, Water, Nature, Gold and Magic. They are rolled at the start and stay as they are. However, some cards can change the values of these dice, thus changing how strong other cards are.

>Elemental scaling is Elemental's core unique mechanic that sets it apart from other games in the genre.

>Many cards' descriptions have an element symbol instead of a number, e.g. "Deal Fire damage to your opponent". This means that the amount of damage dealt is equal to the current value of the Fire die. We say that this card scales with Fire. Note that the die is not rerolled when playing such a card.

>This mechanic makes dice control (using cards that can change the values of the dice) crucial, as doing this can drastically change the strengths of other cards. One player might have a deck that is on paper 2x stronger, but if all dice it scales with are 2s, while all of the dice the opponent's deck scales with are 7s, the opponent is still stronger.

Did some more work on the AI opponent since a lot of people seem to be playing against it.

New gameplay showcase is now up: https://youtu.be/F1p0CdXhxBU

I will work on some UI stuff like prompts on what is going on, what you are selecting (cards to discard, etc.)
That system should also be useful after that for an interactive tutorial, which also needs some backend changes, as it is not easy to do right now.

>>96488946
I've never played this Elements game, is/was it good?

I hope so, hah.

It is isn't the execution, or editorial problems.

There were never other plans for Lunars, what they published was what they envisioned for them.
1e!Lunars are mostly consistent through 1e's publications, even the ones from before their release.
The only inconsistency is the lack of illusion charms.
>>
>>96487065
>You now realize that Lunars getting the exclusive opportunity to have their own graces and Shape is where 1e squared the circle around illusion charms and not the weird cope Grabowski had about "illusions" being so abstract it just means having a snake for a hand.

>Heh well illusions can mean more than just simple D&D illusions...btw no social charms for Lunars
genuinely think a lot of the problems attributed to grabowski are actually just him covering for other people and not wanting to admit the gameline went in a bad direction.

Essence 7 is exactly where Ahlat should be, the way Essence 7 spirits are depicted in terms of mechanics the issue.

>Oh no tactical and strategic complexity in my strategy boardgame.

First off, planning a river crossing is a fun tactical challenge, secondly, practically all river maps in the game are either 1 tile wide or have 1 tile wide *fords*. So they really only take 2 turns to cross at most and lastly Mechs slower than 5/8 can really only reliably get 1 TMM anyway, so with the guaranteed partial it's not even that crippling defensively.

Also muh multiple PSRs really? They're at -1 so even at 5 pilotting you're looking at an 11/12 chance of success.

I think you don't understand that a lot of digital art has manually drawn linework. And you should probably try something out in that particular model before saying that AI doesn't understand it. I get the vague impression that you're trolling, if you think that that kind of Gemini slop is better, if anything else because it matches what you type in the prompt box, all the more power to you. I'm going to keep prompting as I've learnt to do through trial and error.

/tg/, I'm designing a campaign for my group.
The campaign consists from three acts. As a whole, they cover levels from 1 to 20.
What happens in the first act is immaterial for this thread.
In the very beginning of the second act, however, they will meet the big villain of the campaign, who decides that they're going to be a threat to his master plan and immediately kills them all right at the end of a gruelling dungeon. The player characters then go to Valhalla, meet not!Odin and then return to life with a divine quest.
Half of the second act will involve fulfilling this quest to pay not!Odin back for their resurrection. The other half involves revenge against the villain.

Now, obviously if they just reveal themselves, they'd just be killed again. So they'll be gently suggested to assume false identities and infiltrate the villain's massive army of mercenaries in order to foil his plan from the inside. By the end of the act, the villain's army will be gone, his personal power extinguished, and then he'll die as the final boss of the act.
That's the idea. However, I keep thinking about how it'll actually go. I have 7-9 dungeons in mind for the second act. That is a lot of sessions spent under secret identities, while everyone believes that they're dead. While the undercover arc could potentially be interesting, I'm also seeing the potential for it to be very exhausting to actually go through.

Should I just pre-emptively cut the "undercover" part to just 1 or 2 dungeons? It's going to be pretty difficult to change them on the fly, if I see that this story is not working.

Yeah. In the worst case scenario, it's much easier to extend an idea than it is to cut it short without fucking up your pacing, and the most common mistake accomplished writers make is having arcs and story beats stick around for longer than they're welcome.

Ignore the retards ITT, this is a hobby not managing a nuclear fucking reactor, you can afford screw ups, and it's good to not be afraid of potential failure while you're chasing after success. Who knows, maybe you'll accomplish things no jaded faggot ever could.

Nah, this kind of thing is a hot mess to do. You need to be playing with people you really trust to be open to weird twists and to handle the situation maturely. And you also need to coordinate with your GM.

>how often do you guys subassemble your models? I'd like to try it once but it looks rather time consuming

If I don't need to do it I don't. If I have to I try to pin them from the side that attaches to the model, if it's too thin to pin I just glue it to a sprue stick. Shields usually get this treatment since gluing a shield to the model means you can't paint any of the model under it. Heads too if half the face is covered by armor or fur/cloth and attached after. One trick if you are subassembling and batch painting is to match-mark the parts to each model. For example, if you are painting mounted units and need to paint the riders and shields separate from the mount, use a marker to dot each part reletive to the mount mark, •, ••, •••, ect. Makes assembly go smoothly.

It’s an upcoming game by Awaken Realms. From the looks of it, it’s kind of RPG-ish. To quote the GameFound page: "Lands of Evershade is a new hybrid RPG / Board Game experience for 1-5 players that merges the acclaimed Awaken Realms storytelling and quality components with a dice-based RPG system and fast tactical combat."

There’s a PDF of the Player’s Handbook out already (the link for which I posted earlier), but since the game is not released and still in development, it’s still a WIP so it may or may not reflect the final product.
