>>96644894>Where do you get your terrain from? Or how do you make it?From a Necromunda-centric POV official GW terrain is just too damn good to ignore. It's taken me like ~10 years to get all the pieces I want, because of how expensive and feels-bad it is to actually fork over for. But once it's all arrayed there's an insane amount of great "urban" or "industrial" stuff that they've gradually put out through the years. The Sector Mechanicus pieces + walkways mixed with KT Bheta Decima walkways are the core of my collection. I can also do an interior setting with Zone Mortalis and Gang Stronghold sets. There have been many good standalone/scatter pieces like the Haemotrope Reactor, Thermic Plasma Regulators, etc. The classic Munitorum containers, promethium barrels and munitorum crates (augmented by like 4-5 other types of crates they're released since). Titanicus industrial terrain also produces great scatter. There's also a bunch of Kill Team stuff that makes great standalone/scatter: Plasma Generatoriums, the Moroch landing pad and radar dish/comms tower thing... I have like 3-4 Sector Fronteris buildings because I like "intact" structures for Necromunda and not just ruins. Also get a lot of mileage out of several 40K vehicles that make good static terrain; the little servitor/crane set, a Goliath Rockfucker, an Arvus Lighter, etc.But I also have a ton of non-GW stuff. Plenty of 3d prints ofc. 3 or 4 MDF buildings from Sarissa to have larger sized intact buildings than GW makes. Recently converted the MCP Sanctum Sanctorum into an Enforcer precinct and bought the MCP Hydra generator set. A lot of bridge pieces from the model railroad world to serve as platforms between elevated spots. A couple of HO scale plastic buildings I bought cheap and converted. Random generic odds and ends from historicals, like some WWII-ish tents.

>>96646927If you like Necromunda terrain and have an FDM/Resin printer, PrintMinis creates matching terrain that fits alongside existing GW official ones (See Risor Foundation that they made).
Rather sad that a massive miniature company can only get talented sculptors for a fraction of a fraction of their products.>>96645590>>96647096Anons, this is a thread about Games Workshop's Specialist Games, not bellyposting.

>tq1I think cyberpunk is the only universal setting for crime, the same way sword and sorcery is the only universal setting for tomb raiding. Crime in most settings is a means to an end, or an unfortunate secondary consequence of pursuing a primary goal, or it is just because the players are by their very nature sociopathic. In cyberpunk games you aren't breaking the law because it's a barrier between you and your goals, you are breaking the law because breaking the law is your lifestyle. Whether you're on the street or in the highrises your career is "criminal". You kill, steal, lie, and cheat your way to money, power, and fame. You might follow the law occasionally because it serves your purposes, but in the end you are going to get paid by breaking all the rules. And because this is the standard mode of play, that means other social currencies are in effect. Your street cred, your professional rep, your CV, your looks. Any game can have you break into an office to steal a document, in cyberpunk you steal the document because you're a forger and known quantity as a second story guy in the community. As a result there's always something new to do. A new heist, a new gadget, a new complication, and generally the divide between rich and poor makes it so you can face off against a wide array of colourful antagonists. Your campaigns range from street trash to gangsters to mercenaries to corporate killsquads, on Monday you are escorting a rich guy to the club, on Thursday you're doing battle with an IFV. You think the biker knights posergang fit into Traveller? You think the stolen bioweapon fits DND? NO! Only in Cyberpunk! ONLY in Cyberpunk! Order now!

The Great Hunger Edition>What is Trench Crusade? An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.>What Trench Crusade is notTC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.>What's the QRD on the background? The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.>How do I get started? All the files are free online, but are split between the website and the discord. >>96638404I love this narrative that the community article was some kind of rogue action done by a single actor and that GW somehow just like didn't notice it or do anything about it and still has it up to this day because uhh...I also love how lost in the sauce /tg/ retards are that the most boilerplate fucking elementary school "don't be racist, kids" message that like 90% of the damn civilized world (yes, even most regular non-insane conservatives) agrees with is something ludicrous; fucking grow up and learn how to be a functioning adult and not a 15-year-old in a 30-year-old's skin
>>96638404>He thinks the Imperium is the good guysWay to miss the point. The closest thing to "good guys" are the T'au and even they aren't good guys.
>>96645624The themes are just middle school edge, it's an excuse to paint up some religious themed minis and make them fight. Wargames aren't literature and people who act like there's anything of real depth in any of the lore around this game or any others are just exposing themselves as midwits unable to engage with real books.

>>96647373This is the same website that kept repeating NIGRAS JOOS NIGRAS JOOS as a joke until they began believing it. I've dealt with /pol/ retards IRL and they can't go five seconds without saying a slur or some stupid meme no one cares about outside of /pol/, and I've dealt with dumbass kids who grew up on Basedjak and are unable to do anything but seethe about trannies. The same retards will go to Kiwifarms and harass someone whose crime was being slightly cringe on the internet and then cry and sob whenever anyone makes fun of Null or Sam Hyde or whatever.I don't like it when literary elitists accuse pop culture fans of being manchildren, but I think it absolutely applies to gamers in general, vidya or otherwise.>>96647420Eh, at the same time, I don't like wholly dismissing a medium not literary - too many people dismiss comic books solely because superheroes are in them. I'm not saying Trench Crusade isn't middle school edgelordism, but there's definitely good themes to unpack.also cocks

>>96636837Pokemon, you ahould be fine with the people. Generally you get 3 and a half types of groups with it.You've got the comp players, who generally do like to have new people playing, you've got the autists that share some overlap with comp, and you've got the actual children+parents playing to accompany them. One Piece and Dragon Ball, I'm not too sure about, but it's probably kkostly comp and autists you'd have to deal with, and most of the time if you introduce yourself and play a few ges people get friendly. Just make sure to clean yourself up, put on deodorant, and try to not be a YGO player.

What is it about SS13 that makes it such a magnet for miserable cunts? I've been hearing about it for over a decade and it seems like it's been nothing but dramafaggotry the entire time.
>>96647762It's exactly the same principle that makes running an online and public tabletop game dangerous, but magnified across dozens of people instead of three to six.Sometimes you luck out and get a bunch of individuals who know how to play well, or are willing to shut up and learn, but who also know not to be whiny bitches if the game doesn't go their way.More often you get people like OP who can't hack it in other groups or on other servers, and have instead decided to go on a globetrotting adventure of cuntery until there's nowhere left to turn except paid DMs and private servers.

>>96640441Gonna say its Corun then. Thankfully shouldn't come up often.>>96645409Röst has spent the last week helping Corun recover. The elves were initially desperate when their healing spells weren't working. But after a couple days the wounds were obviously healing naturally. By the end of the week she was helping him walk around town. It was on one of these walks that Corun decided he'd like a short walk in the forest and they'd headed towards the gate.Andris approached the fae very carefully and with great trepidation. She knew she was the only one Skogsrå trusted enough to cast a spell on so she needed to be the one to do it. As soon as the spell was cast Skogsrå began speaking to all of the leaders she's met before.>Family! All equal, all untouchable. We will help elves, elves will help brays. In her stilted and pidgin understanding of the language she explains her idea of integrating the two species. Accepting the elves as children and teach them ancient secrets from before magic and in turn the elves will accept the beast women she calls the bray as citizens and let them learn of modernity. However, she pauses and her visage darkens when she sees Röst appear through the gate with Corun. Her smile returns a second later, but she now adds an amendment; the elves and brays will return to their respective homes to rest. Then she lifts up as if listening then points off to the side of the glade. >Ilska bring gifts to head metal elf. She ask him are these correct man things?
>>96638629>Back aboard the 'Argentum Omnipotens,' Cassius stood in the docking bay, watching as the first of many shuttles arrived laden with guests for the evening's reception. Through corridors flanked by ranks of gleaming automata strode generals and admirals, planetary governors and Ecclesiarchy prelates, moguls and nobility of every rank. It mattered not that half these men and women were the very same notables Cassius had bribed to bring his plot to fruition, nor that the other half were his own bitter rivals. All were welcome! And if not even one in ten truly believed the story of Salafié's redemption, then so much the better. For his cynic's heart delighted above all in the brazen hypocrisy of praise bought from those who knew he lied even as he spoke it.>Meanwhile, a Warp portal tore open in the blackness of the void, and one final ship spilled forth into realspace above Sarnath. It was but a humble frigate, but bore the black and gold livery of the Inquisition, and hurtled towards the gathered fleet with a frantic speed.>On the bridge of the Rogue Trader's flagship, a comms officer attended to the flickering screen of his console as the cruiser's auger arrays swept this new arrival and cross-checked it, finding no reference in the registry of approved guests. But then, half the vessels that had arrived in the last day were not on the registry, and the Lord-Captain had ordered that none were to be turned away from this grand occasion. And so the officer opened a vox channel to the frigate.>"My lord Cassius von Nassau-Mendoza bids you welcome, Inquisitor. Your ship is cleared to approach on vector gamma-niner. Docking port three, starboard side.">Thus it was that just a few minutes later, Inquisitor Corsini was at large upon the 'Argentum Omnipotens,' his very soul blazing with fervent hatred as he sought out his ultimate foe, the Techpriestess he had hunted all the long years of his life.
