I hate to admit that I finally enjoy machines. Also im seeing DM top more and more, is the play style more consistent or some shit or is it wildly different since youre evoing up?
>>96605410
It is probably the best season tied with adventure for me, the whole digital world arc and ryo are a shit though.
>>
How much are decks on average? I had a few from EX 10 I wanted to put together but just looking at some of these prices on card.io has me second guessing myself. All I have right now is Jesmon, I suppose that was cheaper than the usual?
>>
>>96605567
Like 50-80? It used to be around 50 a few years ago but you need older cards now along with more SR which should tell you why the price increased. Obviously it depends on deck. Jes is cheap yeah since most of the deck uses recent cards+ cheaper SR barring gx bt10 that some run.

>>
>>96600885
Heya Grog, I was wondering if any of you could help me track down something from the old days of White Dwarf. It's an Imperial fortress- a giant fuck-off cannon, built into a mountainside. I only saw the image once, and that was on my now-bricked phone. I think it might've been a starship macrocannon, or something? I distinctly recall the cutaway of the fortress had actual shell storage in there.

Fairly certain James dug up the concept again while he was rummaging for ideas on what that recent Kill Team 'season' was going to be about, and then decided he was going to make the giant cannon Even Bigger, because that's what 40k does.

I've got some RTB01 marines on the way, gonna strip them and give them the paint job they deserve. Did they ever make a painting guide for the classic RT crimson fists?

Is this a diorama or a drawing? That'd help narrow it down. I have a vague recollection of the kind of thing you mean.

>>96604858
You know I don't think there is. in the Painting Space Marines guide that came in a white dwarf there was ultramarines, salamanders, blood angels and space wolves to give an array of schemes. And I've skimmed various blanchitsu articles form the time, some even featuring the crimson fists, but they don't really give much of a guide of any kind.

But then the crimson fist scheme is so damn basic, it's like at best: a dark blue, mid blue, and light blue (or could be achieved by mixing from the mid blue), black, white, red, silver, bit of yellow in for the badges (and over white to undercoat for the red given how much of a pain the yellow and red paints were of the time to get bright colours with, not a problem now), and if you want to improve much of any of it get mixing paints because there's not that many to work with in the range in '87.

But don't be afraid to go advanced on techniques, use ink washes, or throw in using fineliner pens (especially for that really fine chequerboard) and other mixed media stuff as that's what Blanche would do.

Please paint him up and use him anyways. He'd look great in a unit of classic metal knights.

It depends very heavily on what choices the casters make (Persistomancy exists) and what kind of encounters they are (the slugging fests many would expect to favor Martials end up running them out of HP before a half-assed CoDzilla).

>>96602292
Because the Cleric and Druid have no such constraints yet actually get more even in many endurance challenges. Compare to the Monk and Soulknife paying dearly for having a bit less demand for simple +numbers items.

>Reread Fighter 2. Those aren't feats, those are maneuvers all fighters can get for free with 2 months to a year of downtime
Honestly, just having a more structured bonus feat setup to let the Fighter act like a Wizard for their Bonus Feat List would do a lot to the pidgeon-holing problem. Definitely should rip off the Known/Readied distinction from ToB for decision paralysis purposes.

>Book literally gives fighters the ability to do things like make 3 attack full-attacks at level 1 with no feat investment.
Retarded because this is happening long before any assurance a Full Attack actually has more than one attack to distinguish from the Standard Action, and still does nothing about the void of things other than fighting.

>Honestly, just having a more structured bonus feat setup to let the Fighter act like a Wizard for their Bonus Feat List

>and still does nothing about the void of things other than fighting.
...Anon, the class is called "Fighter".
I can't really fault mongoose for not handing many non-fighting this class specifically.
The other class and race books have more options, like giving barbarians the ability to project as a spirit animal to scout locations or tail people(thing like a middle-ground between druid wildshape and an arcane familiar).

2d20 Conan. Best for it I've read and played. It has a solid setting and tone primer for getting people into the world, and the rules let you build and play pulpy characters with mechanical weight to the things they are good at. My group had a shifty sorcerer/alchemist, a canny and strong former bandit, and a capering thief/acrobat; we all felt useful and even had ways to make each other more effective, in or out of combat.

That peak human shit is nonsense and is only kept because by this point it's such a mainstay tradition that they can't really drop it. It's more like a curse at this point. Iron Man can always get new armor upgrades, while Hulk and Thor have been having like 5 different power-ups in the last 10 years and are currently stronger than they have ever been. Cap never gets something like that because of the peak human mandate

Got a PF2e game sometime in the future.
Decided I wanted to build a character based on Felicia.

Obviously, she's baseline an unarmed brawler/monk. With aspects that could lean into Bard or Cleric.
Clawed Catfolk seems the easiest way to get a decent unarmed attack.
Seems like Fighter with Bard subclassed in is decent from what I saw. (Better with free archtype, but I doubt we'll be doing that for our first outing in the system)

But, that's about where I stopped last I looked at it. Nothing particularly hard-set, and a long while until this game.

Only cringe part. I want to see what a dipshit caveman does with a hand-held antimatter reactor.
>>
>>96605404
The tech limitation is important because it means I (the DM) can look up what the tech looks like, how it works, what happens if the players try to do X with it, and so on. That's what sets it apart from magic or sufficiently advanced technology.
Modern-day tech is still fun though. Imagine a caveman coming across unexploded ordnance, or a radiothermal generator, or barrels of dangerous (toxic, flammable or explosive) chemicals. Even if they're degraded due to centuries or millenia passing since being abandoned, they can still be dangerous by caveman standards (and/or useful if the caveman is smart)

Sorry to tell you this but it's simply not possible to play a deck of those cards in the main format and really only for house play. They are simply too good at what they do for a game that uses the grave as a resource. The one deck that made the least use of them was ironically a pure ishizu deck.
The silver lining I can tell you is that with this new format that konami launched about a day ago where the cards are technically legal. Cards are given a point value if the card is suspect of anything and you can play whatever you want so long as you do not exceed the point limit. By default it's 100P.
Only thing is that the monsters are 1, 1, 50, 50 so you're not going to be able to run all of them and if you do run the 2 50s you can play basically any other staples because they're also a small chunk of points like Ash is 15. So you could play the cheap ones, namely mudora who cards about Gravekeeper's trap which is your card in question, and maybe 1 miller but it won't be an exchange of the spirit deck really.
I feel like you're the same person who came here a few weeks ago and posted a similar question so this might be redundent. I would recommend you buy the field center token that has her on it instead for $0.50. Pro tip, these field center tokens are standard size cards for some reason.
Pic related. The text is gold leaf foil so they're kinda neat.

>Also, do you autistically sort what card belongs in what page in what position? I think that's the most fun part of collecting. That, and discovering new favorites. Like do you have a rainbow page of only brightly colored pantyhosed girls? Maybe a black page too?
No, for now they just go to the binder unsorted.
Still, i don't see myself sorting them by pantyhose color or anything like that, only alphabetically. And now that i think about it, i missed at least one girl for my collection, and i can't believe i did because she's part of one of the strongest decks of this format, i have gotten my ass kicked by her a lot of times too, so there's just no excuse. As an apology, i'll consider getting a 25LP secret rare copy instead of the ultra (it's cheap, but it would clash with the rest).

By the way, i'm happy that cutia's deck will actually be usable with the upcoming support, i didn't get any of the other cards but i doubt they'll be expensive, since it's not tiered in OCG where they had apollousa legal for a while.

I want to get into pathfinder 2eR, and I really like playing wizards, but Vancian casting perplexes me to no end. Is there some sort of strategy guide? Like... How many fireballs am I supposed to prepare? Combat can come at literally any moment - how am I supposed to be prepared for the hundreds of spontaneous 'roll initiative''s?

Am I just supposed to load the fuck up on panic spells and fireballs and use spell substitution to cast everything as a pseudo-ritual when needed? How the hell am I supposed to account for this shit without having 9 mega lethals in the chamber just so I'm not the most useless babyboy in the world during any surprise combat? How do I go back in time and kill Jack Vance to stop Gary Gygax from reading Dying Earth and copying the stupidest magic system available?
