How do you guys think the undertale prequel fan games in development should handle saving for the souls? My idea is hallucinations, everytime a soul dies,he wakes up and start at the last point he slept at(that's his way of saving,taking rest at various places,everytime he dies,it's a bad ending). Update on Traumacore Violence since I was able to beat it and touch each of the other modes in just over the refund window: Genuinely never felt a game that plays like it or looks like it. Does a good job at giving you freeform movement/attacks while punishing mashing and forcing commitment. Combo scoring lets you cash it in for heals or installs or hold it for a huge score bonus, and while the parry being a flash step/instant transmission no matter how far the enemy is is cool I also respect the harder difficulty just removing the parry entirely and forcing you to physically move out of the way or using your limited-use i-frame shotgun. The only real issues are some blatant bugs (one particular combat room softlocked me twice) and the two stages where you run away from a deathwall since the movement can often just fling you into it since it's hard to stop on a dime.>>729127375Hook is definitely a rough one, wouldn't want to 1cc it myself. I always see people calling fighting games dead, especially when they are referring to other skill based 1v1 games like arena shooters or RTS. But here is the thing, fighting games are more alive than they have ever been. You need to remember that fighting games are also on console, and most modern fighting games have crossplay enabled. Take the steam daily peak player count and triple it, that is basically the true daily peak of available players. I'd say there are probably anywhere from 100,000 to 200,000 unique players daily when you take into account all modes. Compared to arena shooters, fighting games are incredibly thriving. We have active local scenes, competitive scenes, and online scenes. The biggest name in arena shooters only gets a peak of 400 players daily. RTS games may be a bit more popular than fighting games when it comes to player count, but our competitive and local scenes are actually alive and thriving. When you compare fighting games to other popular games, you have to remember it is a 1v1 game. A better metric to compare it to other games is to take the number of possible matches that could be happening at a time. For example, in order to fill an ARC Raiders lobby you need 21 players. Lets take the peak and divide it by the amount of players you need to have a match.>445,973/21 = 21237Now lets do the same for Street Fighter 6>37,646/2 = 18823Note, these are only Steam numbers, the amount of playable matches at peak hours is actually much greater.
