Worst part is fighting muscle memory if you're used to the standard surfer build. High ranks are already good at shooting the gap, so I think it's a tradeoff worth considering. Unfortunately won't reach L4 in time on some turns.

Thing is, this happens regardless of context even if you interact with them. You can knock them out and hide them in a rooftop, and they'll die when the black market dialogue is triggered. You can have them right in front of your fucking cursor like in the webm, and you'll see the game itself killing them. That's not an immersive sim. That's a farce. Game is full of this btw, like Possessing Billie then entering her room at the Dreadful Wale as her and immediately dying because her NPC is disabled by the game while you're inside it. Dishonored 1 rewarded you for experimenting (pic related, do you even know what it is?) while Dishonored 2 breaks at the seams doing the same.
