Hey, anons, do you check this site through cellphone?
What app you use?
I used Read Chan before but it started not working well (making replies sometimes getting stuck).
And the alternative mobile site 4chan Created looks a bit ugly
Somehow ended using Clover that has very nice features despite being technically a discontinued software

How would you change 4channel for the better?
I'd bring back /asp/ and kill /xs/

well if you get a gold pass you should have a gold pass vip section, kind of like this but more.

make it cool to be a gold pass.
>>
>>129384
i genuinely do not understand what the point of getting rid of /asp/ and creating /xs/ was
like ok, make /pw/ to give wrestling its own board, it deserved one, but what was the point of deleting a slow board only to make an even slower one? "alternative" sports covers a wider range than "extreme" sports and would probably get a few more posts.
my suggestion to change the site for the better overall would be allowing audio webms (and i guess mp4s now) on all boards.
>>
>>129384
give all boards audio webms.
increase file size limit
ban Twitter screenshot threads.
4chan pass VIP exclusive boards for the top boards on the site
ban porn threads on /b/ (there are boards for porn already)
do more community events (banner contests and that such)
more stickys
range ban india

desu, I miss the text only boards. Some of them were seriously slow - like weeks or months between replies, but they had pretty high quality posting.

>Allow mods to have public dialogue with the community and discuss the state of the boards they run while looking for good faith feedback to improve things.
>Have mods play the role of beat cop again and have a more visual presence like pic related in enforcing rules and community standards on their boards.
>Allow users to pubically announce reports again with the caveat being that if they announce a false one, they get banned
>Bring back the liberal use of word filters as a way to stiff arm cancerous terms.
>Ban Twitter and reddit screenshot threads
>Delete /pol/ and prepare for a month+ long campaign to clean out the cancer that tries to remain, until they move to another site (Gamergate proved that will happen), while shunting the remaining stubborn hold outs to /b/. But also ban them from making generals in /b/ to make it harder for them to organize.
>Create a 'Poltiics outside of /b/' report option and encourage the community to use that

And find a way to crack down on the raids coming from third party sites since it feels like all of these anti spam measures are a failed result of trying to reign them in.
And if mods were 100% serious about cracking down on cancer, ban pepe and wojak. They represent everything wrong with 4chan today, exist to enable normalfags, suck the life out of potential OC creation and shit things up in general. The fact that 10% of /vip/ are pepe threads shows how invasive the problem is.

Wait, so only a handful of people actually bought the pass?
That's really it? I thought the passes were a lot more popular, since it's such a quality feature that you don't have to fill out the capcha anymore.
>>
>>132390
I don't care that much about the captcha, I was cucked into buying the pass cuz I kept being b& when I accidentally left my vpn on. I don't mind supporting the site though.

did i just fall for a meme? the price hike made me do it.

Yea, me too. I hate waiting 15 minutes every time I want to make a post.
Money is not the issue for me, just the principle that I'm giving money to the trannytors who abused me for 15 years straigt.
>>
In what wayanon?
>>
>>132383
Probably you did.
At least on my case (and other pass users I think) buying the pass was a must because my whole country hot ISP blocked or whatever is called.
So yeah, I can't even create threads or sometimes not even reply without the pass

pretty sure you can't buy a pass if you're already subscribed with one. i'm also stuck with one year since i renewed before they announced the three year deal. slightly pissed me off ngl.
>>
>>132289
This is particularly grating. Especially considering that when updating you have two choices
>Credit Card
>Digital Currencies

And if you choose "credit card", the "link/stripe" checkout STILL has an option for crypto as well (next to CC and CashApp). Of course, what crypto and methods it allows varies too, and I found that even with WalletConnect I still couldn't just pay with DOGE or whatever, buy instead needed to shift it to something else like Polygon, which of course when I looked at one of the FOSS (Edge) wallet's exchange options it had a minimum of like 300 Doge which is over $100. I don't even want to get started on shit based on Etherium or its chain which requires asinine amounts of "gas" in ETH that makes it completely non viable for exchanging just enough to pay for a $45 pass etc. Now the issue with Coinbase, atop the
>Take a picture with your face holding your ID
garbage has a lot of other limitations as well, as far as what wallets theyll let you use among other issues.

The whole thing is a shitshow compared to how it used to be where you could previously just pick a ton of crypto options, it would splat up a QR of a wallet address to pay into, and that would be it. Crypto itself has become a lot more of a fucking cesspool of graft, transaction fees and garbage more than it ever was, but its sad that even with the supposed maturity of the platform that its harder to make purchases now than ever, especially "small" ones (ie under $100, which isn't really that small ) without jumping through hoops or paying transactions, minimums and other fucking around, is annoying.

Its even more annoying that one of the least shitty crypto that is actually good for using it as a currency, Monero, is not supported by the site. If anything, you'd think it would go in line with (hiro)Moot's original concept on anonymity and privacy, that it would be a preferred usage to directly purchase a Pass with Monero. Out of room, TBC
>>
>>132387
So with all this in mind (ideally fixing the crypto payment option plus supporting Monero), plus the price increase, it would be nice to add some new features and options for Pass users
>change related email address
If you want to keep the pass but change the address to which its bound, can you do that currently? I didn't see an option to do so but it would be nice. Yes, I know you can just buy a new one but almost everything lets you change your address. The Pass token parameters (that you login with) aren't already there. Also, this brings me to
>Privacy and anonymity features
Especially for paying users supporting the site, increasing privacy and anonymity is not only on brand, it encourages additional Pass subscriptions. Changing your email address should be an option and the site should purge records of previous addresses after a short period of time.

Other privacy/anonymity options that could be implemented for pass users could seek to minimize the tracking capability for other metrics related to the Pass (assuming it isn't already) such as IP history, email, etc..by purging what is not needed in as short a time as possible. There are avenues to have near zero knowledge while maintaining Pass functionality. These elements of course, in concert with other current and potential expanded Pass benefits would make users more likely to subscribe.
