>>97300157I’ve not had issues with ipa and varnish though some old spaycans of it might prove different, certainly a few primers leave more on the model than others. However I would recommend acetone for metal models, it will remove all the super glue as well and they will come out looking pristine. Restoring minis is extremely gratifying to me and acetone on metal is about as easy and effective as that process gets, it takes maybe ten minutes. Beware that the toothbrush will flick tiny speckles of paint that will reharden so pick your workspace accordingly. Personally I use a stainless steel sink that I then wipe off with paper towel and more of the solvent.N.b. acetone will DESTROY any plastic components like the bases. You will likely lose at least some of them during removal as they tend to snap around the attachment tab in my experience.
