>>97839428Which is why you need to use tools for automatic summarization and conditional referencing (i.e. lorebooks) so that the context window can remain within the limitations of your current model. It's not something those AI assistants are designed for but roleplay LLM front-ends have been working with for years now.The problem with AI assistants is that their actual prompt includes your entire past conversation in that session (or whatever they can fit), so it's just needless bloat to your context memory compared to going directly to the API with your own tailored rules of what the prompt should look like.
>>97837598>I heard ChatGPT was a decent enoughI heard that you're a sucker.
Amateurs. You have to tell AI to not be sycophantic.Use the following prompts:Do not be sycophantic. Challenge my assumptions, point out errors, and prioritize accuracy over agreement. Be generally supportive and constructive, but do not agree with me automatically. If my ideas have merit, acknowledge that briefly. If there are weaknesses, gently point them out and suggest improvements. Avoid excessive praise or flattery. Maintain a collaborative tone while still ensuring accuracy.”

I want to order some white border ones and shuffle them up a bunch for a couple weeks with bulk lands to make them have natural wear and then take them to local events without getting kicked outyou cant even use tournament edition cards or 30th anniversary though for that
>>97839625Depends. WPN stores can't let proxies through officially. Some players don't care, some do and just won't play with you (because it's important that you spent a couple grand on cardboard). If you're really concerned get some chinese counterfeits. I've been playing at WPN stores with those and no one bats an eye at them.>>97839937That website won't. Get something from USEA or the other counterfeiters. More expensive unless you join a group buy for 1k+ cards, but I've never had a problem after sleeving them. Looking at the backs of any of these or the sides (you can see the separation on 99% of these regardless of seller) will easily show they are fake. Fronts are usually fine especially while sleeved.

Been chilling on Japanese TRPG twitter and they put like 1000% times more effort into the games they run. Like this would be a pic of how polished an average VTT game looks like in Japan.
>>97837062This isn't even much effort? A battle map, some tokens, and Foundry with Combat Carousel, Dice So Nice, Splatter, and what looks like Theater Inserts. That's basically been my base minimum since Foundry came out, with the exception of battlemaps when I couldn't be assed. But for a game like D&D it's practically required, but there's so many maps and tools out there specifically for D&D it's a non-issue.Everyone thinking this is a lot of effort is retarded.
>>97837916You are a polished DM then. Most VTT games are barebones.
Japanese TTRPG's are heavily influenced by video games which is why they're poisonous

Repeat after me: MAKE. YOUR. POTIONS. IN. PILL. FORME!Pills are ancient, they predate Egypt! We made pills better in medieval Europe by putting them inside purified nontoxic silver to boost power, we don't do that anymore because it's too expensive.Whole reason why we take pills and don't drink medicine is because any medicine is just 0.1% active ingredients, putting it inside a pill is more efficient, making it a drink is wasteful.Realistically in DND, if potions were real, they'd kill adventurers, all over the Adventures Guild you'd see newspapers like:>SSS-rank barbarian killed in the Dungeon because drinking healpot takes too long!>LVL 99 thief killed in the Dungeon because he choked on manapot... it went down the wrong hole!>The Hero killed in the Dungeon because he tripped down stairs and broke all pots!Potions? Not even once! Pills are the right way.
>>97839810It's easter anon, is this how you are going to spend it?
>>97839810There's been plenty of actual discussion of how to mechanically implement pills relative to potions. At least read the thread before you start bitching
>>97839822Anon, at this point assuming that he actually wants to do anything but shitting up every thread is futile. In threads about games he asks "what worldbuilding setting?" instead. He's just that pathetic.
>>97839408>>97839711In this case, wouldn't a healing pill be more like giving someone a low level of fast healing or regeneration for a bit, good for smaller wounds so they don't build up?
>>97839878That or a lingering effect that applies the healing after the damage is done, but it sure starts being more complicated than it needs to be, on the fluff side.

Previous thread: >>97680129GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.TQ: what's your least favorite disadvantage for a player to take?
>>97839819Yeah I too hope GURPS maintains its 0.5% of the market share tooMaybe that's too generous actually

>>97835311>parries have no penalty, but if you have brawling or karate you can parry with those skills at -1No, normal weapon parries are at -2. Brawling and Karate parries are at -1.Everything else seems to be correct.Note that these rules seem OK for knives and tonfa, but are dubious for most other weapons. Swords are not balanced for use in one-handed reverse grips (should probably have a skill penalty, or increase ST) while spears shouldn't get reduced reach (one-handed spear use already assumes a large portion of the shaft behind the gripping hand) nor a bonus to deceptive attacks (if anything, a reversed grip with a spear makes your moves more obvious).

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. As I understand it, any psyker could technically maintain consciousness and coherence in the warp after death as a soul and reincarnate themselves. The problem is that they don't really have access to a body, and, oh yeah, demons immediately start chewing on the nice soul that turned up in their hellscape and didn'thave the good sense to gutter out like most souls. Is that about the size of it?
