GW push fit shit often doesn't fit even without primer, or if it does it needs a lot of force and is one way, no way to dry-fit the parts before the actual assembly.

Sure. You're right that "natural" doesn't equal good. But "it's unnatural" is a claim that straight people use to target gays. Not a justification gays use to target straights. It's the "god hates gays" people who are claiming "natural must be right!" Lots of "natural" instincts aren't.

>four "chaos" gods
>only one actually embodies the concept of chaos

what did they mean by this?
1 reply omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>97345793
Religiously, in traditional cultures/religion, "chaos" meant "the forces outside civilization." City = order. Wilderness = chaos. So anything animalistic like rage, rampant sex, gluttony--all traditionally "chaos" in things like Greek and Mesopotamian and Laventine religion (also the ocean is chaos for some reason). Just look at Gilgamesh or the Bible for stories where the good gods slay the chaos gods: yaweh versus leviathan, gilgamesh versus hambaba. Civilization good. Destablizing civilization? Chaos. Hence Enkidu (who gets away from chaos by drinking beer, eating bread and sleeping with a prostitute). Really, tzeentch embodies chaos least of all, out of them.
>>
Of course the real answer is just Moorcock and Anderson. That's where Warhammer and D&D both get their law/chaos dichotomy from.

Chaos was associated with the ocean because back then it meant the primordial abyss from which all life came from. Chaos being associated with disorder is a more recent invention.

A couple times as a generic boss, because the smaller the shard, the less of a personality it has They're kind of like the flood, a shard is like an infection form, empty headed and single-minded about finding more of themselves, but combine enough shards and you get a Gravemind...that mainly cares about finding more of themselves.

In my last series, I had shards so small that they could be used as Stands. One player had a C'tand of Nyadra'zatha, though, and that was fun to see. It was a little bomb dude that caused havoc in fights. Those C'tands caused the players a ton of problems, though, because of everyone else who had and used them. C'tand masters are drawn to one another, after all.
>>
>>97346715
Comparing them to the Gravemind is a good one, but I feel that kind of... I dunno, part of me wants to say that it's not enough. Like, I don't want it to be some mindless disease. I'd want the Nightbringer to speak the language of death and the dying, I'd want the Deceiver to do tricky shit and wax poetic about the concept of lying. They should be more than just evil being that's trying to recollect itself.

What is the counterculture of 2020s, that could be used as the basis for a contemporary countercultural tabletop game?

Take the World of Darkness for example, which was so grounded in the the counterculture of the 90s that it comes across as dated and strange today. How would you update the World of Darkness so that it better represents the counterculture of today?

Nightmare Mode: Talk about more than just politics. There's more to rebellion against the status quo and the prevailing social norm than who you vote for.

>>
>>97343915
OP here. I mentioned the World of Darkness in the opening post and janitors can probably see my posting history and that I've participated in lots of World of Darkness threads. This thread was made to acquire ideas for what a World of Darkness true to the 2020s should like and to be honest, I've actually acquired a few ideas from this thread.

I fully expected it to be full of people insisting that their personal ideologies are the one true counterculture and that's exactly what happened, but there were some worthwhile posts here as well, enough to give me some ideas for a bunch of Vampire the Masquerade subfactions.

I have this one and I genuinely find it a really interesting book.
Jack Frost sounds amazing but it's also sort of a nightmare of moving parts due to the sheer size of the supporting cast and two time periods you have to juggle if you're going to try and run the entire thing but the other adventures are more manageable and very worth looking into.

After a nightmare I had last night, I've come to a conclusion that zombie media has been doing it wrong. Zombies are way WAY more fucking terrifying when you can't tell someone has turned until you interact with them. Bonus points if they hopelessly cry for help early on during the infection.
>To avoid friendly fire and to avoid hiding from help you have to make yourself known to potential threats
>Anyone sent in to clean up the situation is much more likely to shoot first and ask questions never
>Mercenary responders can be willing to even kill each other to claim killed competitors as zombie heads taken which puts you in crossfire and endangers any well-meaning responders
Also exploding zombies need keratinous skin growths for shrapnel spikes.

The zombie film series I watched in the nightmare was scarier than the shit in the nightmare actually trying to kill me.

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>How do I get started?
All the files are free online:

They used to be split between the website and the discord, but no more. For posterity's sake, the old mega will still be kept active even if it's unlikely to need updating: https://mega.nz/folder/70QH0BBa#Eg-blxYQKkY_C02wErnFTQ

Loving playing Snotlings so far. I love having a swarm of the 'worst' players with the lowest strength, worst armor, and a only a sluggish 5 movement. I love being able to reliably dance through defensive screens, attempting fingers crossed throw team mates and bombs, and swarming downed challengers to mercilessly foul. An okay-ish system that is way more fully of arbitrary game logic about what a character can and can't do based on randomly earned metacurrencies and video game-y attempts at "balance" through likewise arbitrary restrictions on what characters can or can't do.

Some people like it, others don't even care it exists. CR/Darrington got their fans to buy it, and then made a bunch of retarded excuses for why they won't be using it for their main campaign after they already sold it to their fans.

GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.
Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.

A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.

If you're wondering where to start:
- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.
- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.
- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.
- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.

Thread question: What are some systems or you would like to include or see included in a campaign, but haven't been able to? They don't have to be the main focus of the game, having them only as something on the side is okay.

>sentences and paragraphs broken across columns and pages even if there's enough space for them to not do so
>column headings awkwardly wrapped and oversized
That looks absolutely atrocious. I'm pretty sure I could feed a LaTeX rough into a random scientific journal format and get better results. Never attempt layout again.
>>
>>97345467
The benefit of EPUB/HTML/XHTML is that you can manipulate it easily, without having to spend a zillion hours/dollars on laying it out in Adobe InDesign as SJ Games currently does. It's a "sane default" that can be tweaked easily if you really care about how it looks.
>B-but it looks ugly!

>sentence and paragraph breaking still all over the place
>column headers still break in the middle of words instead of on the spaces between words
>tables still break over columns instead of trying to remain contiguous
You have fixed exactly nothing. It's really quite impressive how much nothing you've accomplished by changing the font size.
>sane default
A sane default would be building the content in LaTeX, to leverage its ability to take your content and drop it directly into a pre-prepared document formatting template with minimal work. There is a reason scientific journals use it to concatenate papers from multiple different authors.
