>>10965900I haven’t actually, can you post here please? Is this speculation or do you know for sure because of irl
>>10965900Sad if true
The title says it all, cosplayers that did awesome cosplay but their career were cut short, as they suddenly disappeared without any notice.
>>10963992nags about politics on a daily basis in their locked instragram
>>10963831I looked her up, and she looks like a model.I'm not sure how to feel about her being a furry, even though her fursuits look good on her...
>>10964183hey, I did notice that some women in that are into fursuiting look like supermodelslike for example, Winfoxi, who did some Disney princesses cosplays long time ago and now dresses up in her fursona, looks gorgeous outside her costume and ironically also went missing a year ago, but for a darker reason, as she's ukrainian
>>10964008Isn't any cosplayer that becomes a left-winged queer?
I remember she had a couple good cosplays that got shared around a lot, but I can't remember what her name was. I found this in my files, but I haven't had any luck finding the source or remembering her name.
Do you guys ever like to go through YouTube and watch con and cosplay fandom videos from before the 2010's?It's a hobby of mine. It makes me sad.https://youtu.be/vc2Zj1C_uKY
>>10898051>"dear femoids: you complain about sexual harassment, yet you have boobs. Curious...:
>graduated the same year the iPhone came out>haven't been to a con since AWA2013 to meet mootI'm not sure I'd have the heart to experience what cons are like now.
>>10965879>>haven't been to a con since AWA2013 to meet mootWhat was that like?
>>10965881Gay as fuck. He gave me a hug in the hotel lobby. There's probably a photo of it on the internet out there somewhere. I also got to meet ZUN, which was cool.
>>10965879>I'm not sure I'd have the heart to experience what cons are like now.not really different, honestly. You will still see sailor moon and DBZ cosplay. The demographics have only lightly shifted toward more females than in the past, but still mostly male and the same age group.the only thing different really is that internet got even faster than 2013 and cons serving the purpose of a media distro hub was already on the way out. Thats pretty much locked in now unless you're looking for old stuff, or indie stuff, and even then....
Texas thread died about a week ago or so... RIP, not OP of the previous Texas thread but the anon that had revived it briefly in October. Meant to revive it again this month in-time for it to reach 1-year-plus status, but had totally slipped my mind and was already too late by the time I had noticed... oh well, let's try this 1-year challenge all over again, shall we?UPCOMING NOTABLE EVENTS (for the next six months):Anime Frontier - Dec 12-14Ecchi Expo - Dec 12-14Ikkicon - Jan 9-11Ushicon / Komoricon - Feb 6-8 (both in Austin, Komoricon happening on Feb 7 only)AnimeVerse Houston - Feb 13-15WeebCon - Apr 3-5Anime Dallas - Apr 17-19Otaku Odyssey - May 8-10Riverwalk Anime - May 23-24A-Kon - Press X to Doubt (World Cup will be in town during Jun-Jul)Discuss topics about Texas cons here, including ones that have have happened recently such as Anime Impulse Dallas.
Opening up the rodeo arena and shoving the snack stands and tables in there was a good move. It'd be nice if they could get some food trucks in there or right outside, feels like just about every restaurant next to the convention center is a hotel restaurant.
Has anyone who has gone to ecchi expo give their opinion on it? Thought about going but not sure if it would be worth it or fun
>>10965794it's the best con in existence desu, being able to see so many scantily clad cosplayers~
Anyone got stories on ikkicon at the Kalahari?
>>10965844OP here, last Ikkicon I met and shook hands with Asmongold and Emiru in quick succession and then went on my way. The Twitch Con incident from a few months back makes me think they might not show up this time. Unfortunate, but totally understandable if they decide to do that. If Asmongold does show up AND I FIND HIM, I'll give him a sticker of thread pic. His reaction when he pulled Taiki Shuttle on his uma vid was priceless kek
im flat and have short black hair like rukia. kinda short too. so maybe choosing rukia as my first cosplay would be great. i like orihime but i look like rukia more. should i post my cosplay if i ever do it?
Aren't you the serbian tranny
>>10965746first of all, hell no and second of all, i want context
>>10965744You should cosplay Rukia and then I should cosplay Ichigo (6'0" btw) and then we should kiss!!!!!
Do you prefer to cosplay as more well-known or "underground" less known characters from more obscure media?Historically all of my cosplays have been somewhat obscure game characters, at least in my region, very little people play Yakuza so the few people that recognized my Kiryu cosplay made me feel quite good
>>10963012Yeah, it’s nice when I’m RE 2 Leon. Especially when Ada and Ashley cosplayers approach me. But there’s just something about being obscure character, and someone still recognizes you. I was pic related and the whole weekend only twice did someone know what I was (The group of Viking cosplayers were really hyped to see me.)
>>10963012That depends on a lot of factors
>>10963012I cosplay anyone ive done anything from Miku to Ryoko from Saya no UtaSide thing im doing faust at some point lul
>>10963012A mix of well known and obscure. Sometimes I go for well known characters and sometimes obscure characters. Really it depends on the mood and interest.
>>10963012Obviously obscure shit. No reason to get excited once you've seen the same costume twice per day. Only good thing about it is going to group meetups. Also obscure things actually let you open up conversation since everyone has talked about the big works to death already.
She is low tier compared to some chineses and japaneses. But when compared to americans she is pretty good. Most of the female americans are fat and ugly.
>>10965675Jesus, that's super
>>10965675Emiru is pure and does not have an Onlyfans unlike this girl
>>10965755Maybe she should have one
>she got fucked by this low iq disheveled retardLiterally what's your excuse
>>10965770Women love to hate moids but then pick the worst looking scrotes imaginable. Call me a pick me but it's true
i'm not saying every person needs to have the same accurate body as the character they are cosplaying as, call be fatphobic but seeing ugly ass fat pigs cosplay and expect compliments annoys me.I don't know how they are not disgusted of being a fat bag, and looking like a pork compared to slim or fit cosplayers.
>not wanting to keep fats around so your cosplay looks golden by comparison NGMI
fatties cosplaying fat characters look great
>>10960477thats because you watch too much porn
>>10965010Sounds like you're a retarded ana-chan with zero self awareness, individuality, and cognitive ability if you weight 126 pounds and somehow thinking you are not skinny fat. Your friends being rational and you brushing them off as "setting you up" tells me you're also some sort of schizo.

Does anyone know any respectable jirai kei brands/online shops that i can trust to buy from?
Is menhera dead? either way, what are some good search terms to find shit on taobao?
Best Taobao shopping service to the USA? I've been out of the loop for a few years since the last time I used one.
>>10965439Yeah, pretty much. Too many retarded e-girls got into a watered down Menhara and a lot of Japanese Menhara wearers switched to Jirai. Another loss to the worst thing to happen to J-fashion.

Hey all, I’ve recently been going down the rabbit hole of wanting to dress up in kinda cute femboy-ish or feminine cosplay, but I’ve got kind of a muscly frame. Idk how to size things properly, or even if most cosplay patterns of that kind out there accommodate for my frameAny advice on shopping for those kind of outfits? Websites to use/avoid, sizing advice, materials to try/avoid, characters that fit the bill, etc would be much appreciated!Pic related is the kind of cosplay I’d go for, same kind of outfit and pattern
>>10965364I think you should do it and not try to be feminine. I love men dressed in dresses or skirts but they aren't trying to look they they aren't men. Comfortable enough with themselves to do that.
>>10965415I suppose the way I worded it in my post was less than clear, but the way you describe it is the way I mean!I mean wearing clothes typically reserved for feminine bodies while I have a non-feminine body. I just wanna know how to make it look good on my frame>>10965410These are good pieces of advice, so I’ll likely try out some very tight clothes, cut/sew them in the general mockup of what I want, and see if I can make it work on my body. I’d imagine I’ll be using a lot of spandex or other stretchy fabrics to accommodateIdk what kind of build I’d describe myself as, but pic related is me
>>10965364I feel like nowadays crossplaying is very accessible; if it looks good it looks good, but if it looks bad most people won't say anything because they don't want to come off as transphobic. So don't be afraid if your crossplay will look a bit off. Also you're putting a lot of thought into it, so the result will likely look better than half the AliExpress cosplays you'll see on con floors these days anyway.I don't have any real advice for you other than don't assume they won't have your size. The sizes for modern womens' clothing range from little girl to hamplanet, so you'll have a better time finding something that'd fit you than you would have a decade ago when buff dudes were doing gag Misty crossplays.
>>10965364If your frame is too muscly, you can'tGo for the "manly Sailor Moon" look like pic related instead
>>10965364u can do those ironic buff guy bunnysuit cosplays

Is barefoot cosplay ever acceptable? If you are walking around at a con?
its always acceptable
>>10963833 Here>>10964861Yep it looked like that.
Just wanted to share the cosplays I completed last year
>>10927713>do men or guys who don't crossplay not get how much time and effort goes into that?100% no. The amount of chronically online dudes who have no idea a girl is wearing makeup is staggering. So, so many posts will praise a girl for "not wearing makeup, like the natural face" when the girl is wearing HEAVY e-girl makeup, it happens all the time. Apparently unless a girl looks like a gaudy clown, they just assume the flawless poreless porcelain face is just how some people are (lel).I cosplay with my GF and her makeup takes the absolute longest time to get perfect. I wear some makeup and even simple foundation/contour takes a lot of effort.>Marin100% makeup makes or breaks the cosplay.
