no, but you do lose access to your second (and third) extra attacks which are infinite and dont consume spell slots, which are for buffies and for healies. as for the homebrew, i dont think it is either, but that requires getting my DM on board with it. (good luck, me)
>>
>>97273049
everyone only gets 1 minute per turn on initiative, DM included.

I hate the publicly traded "institutional investors" who control everyone's 401ks.
also isn't the seethe about slavery? I don't understand
>no we can't depict slavery
no one alive today in the US was ever a slave and it was a historical reality and it was a historical reality (that exists even now) that basically every culture ever practiced slavery until the industrial revolution made them slavery less lucrative and the bongs did that massive banking scam over ending slavery where all the slavers got paid way more than their slaves were worth
>>
>>97273600
>you do lose access to your second (and third) extra attacks
Paladin gets 1d8 extra radiant damage per extra attack at level 11, similarly infinite. But if you're at that level, then you're also benefitting a lot from Aura of Protection
Fighter might pull ahead more at level 20, but how many sessions are you expecting to spend at level 20?

They hope to transcend vampirism itself to become something MORE. The problem with this is, even the Eldest recognizes that the Hunger is the thing nailing them down.

It's mentioned in Lore of the Clans that even the Eldest realized that the inescapable part, the most fundamental part of being a vampire is the blood hunger, and humans are the most nourishing. They try to change and evolve into something that can overcome the state of vampirism- essentially, overcome the weaknesses by becoming something else.

All Tzimisce that take this seriously have different ideas on how to transcend into their Azhi Dahaka road. For the Eldest, it was becoming a big fleshy monster for a while. Then a meat tree. Then a bit of mpreg involving Socha Vykoss (don't ask.) Then a baby. Then I don't know what. I think the Eldest is supposed to be walking around now but no idea what they're doing.

The Ex-Sanguinist branch of the Tzimisce probably have the best handle on it, as they try and be ascetics and go as long as possible between feedings as they can in the hopes they can stave off the blood thirst and wean their beasts off of it entirely. But so far, no luck.

Those are lost kinfolk typically, there's a name for them I'm just forgetting it right now. Woofs look down even more on them than regular Kinfolk but they also know better typically than to just waltz up and demand like they do from those in the know. Unless you get a particularly insistent one, usually the Kinfolk merit ties you into Garou shit whether you like it or not.

Classic WoD, I'd say in lore terms Pennywise is closest to a Neverborn, but in actual abilities is more like one of the Earthbound or maybe a bane Incarna.

Christmas edition

▶What is Kingdom Death?
Kingdom Death is a tabletop miniature brand stared by Adam Poots and operated by himself and his Team that later spun off into a miniature based bored game funded by two very successful Kickstarter campaigns.

▶What is Kingdom Death: Monster?
Monster is a Nightmare Horror cooperative boss battler/miniature hobby game for 1-4 players about hope in a strange world of bizarre monstrosities and perpetually darkness. Players take on the role of survivors that band together to form a settlement, fighting monsters, crafting weapons and gear, and developing their civilization to ensure survival from generation to generation.

Prologue Narration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNLc8dHv0Ac

The Game is broken up into 3 phases:
1. During your Hunt Phase your band of survivors traverse the world of KD in pursuit of their quarry.
2. After successfully tracking your quarry you will begin the Showdown Phase, where you must fell these horrific creatures in order to acquire precious resources.
3. After the battle, your survivors wander home with loot in hand to begin the Settlement Phase. Arm yourself by developing new weapons and bizarre structures to prepare for next year's hunt.

How do you know you're ready? I usually replace hunting level 1s with twos once I have dash and surge, and have at least one survivor with 5 armor all around and a shield, but I don't know the right metric for the level 3s other than "ran out of stuff to make"
>>
>>97269759
You mean the very successful thing that both hobbiest (loads-a money) and boardgame enthusiasts (also fucking loads-a money)? I always wondered what the thought process was behind the philosophy of
>boy I i fucking love this product!
>I sincerely hope they stop focusing on it and make somthing close to it but different in every way as well
Just give me more of whats good and not what we hope is good. You could do so much with the fights and events in monster that I can see the vision in releasing a decade of projects.
>>
>>97272155
The unofficial discord has a good channel I usually get all of my expansion content from for decent prices. Pretty much only missing 2 expansions now while getting all the others at least 40% off. Some were still in plastic. One I wasn't looking forward to painting actually had a decent paint job on the monster and survivors for $40 total including all content and shipping. Problem is its pretty typical discord shit on everything else.
>>
Are there any good kingdom death instagrams to follow?
>>
>>97274192
You realize I said Monster specifically and not Kingdom Death, right? I'm not asking for it to come to an end, I'm asking if the lord creator will ever fulfill any of his other stated ambitions related to the KD project and step outside of the confines of what Monster is. You don't need the attitude, bro, I'm merely discussing what's already been spoken about from Poots himself.

My character brings his comatose girlfriend with him in a low key gypsy wagon. While he's away he keeps her locked up but during downtime I make sure to take her outside so she gets sunlight and fresh air, I massage her muscles to make sure she doesn't atrophy, and I basically do a lot of elderly care for her, and at night I have sex with her limp body because that's what she would've wanted me to do. For some reason the players all are creeped out by this and one even called me a rapist. I am actually questing to revive her from her coma and the woman I imagined her as would approve of being used as an onahole but for some reason I'm the black sheep in the group.
>>
>>97272654
He has no idea this has happened. To his character and him, she was just some fling, though my character did convince her not to tell him about it. He made up a story about how the bard was doing this as a huge favor and even went so far as to drink a potion of forgetfulness to not remember the event, due to being very shy and secretive about the "relationship" his character had with mine. He also told her that if she revealed to the bard that this event happened, he would likely kill her out of paranoia of someone knowing of his "secret", and for her own safety, she should keep it to herself.
>>
>>97263412
Come to think of it, none of my player characters have ever had love interests. I can't even think of characters I made with it as an element in their backstory, let alone one that happened in a game. They're all as lonely as me.
>>
>>97274234
It would be awkward to RP that kind of stuff with your buddies, as much I think it belongs in stories

Bolgar lore keepers are old wise men that are often called the Volk. They know many things about the world, both this one and the next, and can contact the spirits or even enlist their aid. Every oblast has one for the nobles are wary of the dark forests that surrounded their stone keeps and the terrible monsters that lurk within. The Green Men, Strigoi, Bog Maidens, Anglars, and others cross the veil to terrorize humanity for its soul is said to be the tastiest in the next world.

Only the lore keepers know enough about pagan lore to appease these entities and to send them back from whence they came. Only they know these creatures' vulnerabilities. And their services cost more and more with every disappearance, straining the republic's coffers dry.

The Bandit Kingdoms: a patchwork of big outlaw gangs that infest the land once known as the Reach. What was a bunch of farms and hamlets is now a maze of bandits and rough cattle towns where only the toughest can eek out a decent life. Most people live in terror of their savage overlords and only a few warlords seem to rise above being raiders... And even then, it must be said that the changes they make rarely stick and their realms rarely last before the gangs turn on each other once more.

They're the South's rough equivalent to the Jackals. But unlike the Jackals, the Bandit Kings do maintain a semblance of order in a way. Rivals are ran off with most warlords preferring their operations to be running as smoothly as possible. The people of this land call themselves the Reachmen and have a lot of Bison iconography, in fact old folklore states the world rides on the back of a bull. The Church and the peasantry are none the wiser, and the bandits think that rats spawn from fallen trees.

I have to admit I preferred the NWOD approach here. The image of vampires as predators of Jesus himself, their dark mirror, is more badass than "just" killing your brother because God had a very bad passive-aggressive way of communicating.

Ok. My point was that blatant Biblical themes work mainy in "our 19-21th century" type of urban fantasy. Even if you find theoretical justification to add elves and orcs, it would be organic only in the formula

I'm drawn to Cain because of several elements:

The Mark of Cain.
City of Enoch.
Destined to Wander the Land of Nod.Founded the Fist City.
Also, making Tiefling symmetrical to the Aasimar is compelling and gives a much needed myth gravity that normal Aasimar lack because they are less my grandpa had sex with an angel, I won the lottery, and more my grandpa were great heroes but also tyrants.

Everyone I know who watches Fatt Coville videos is a fucking terrible GM. I've never fully watched one and I am widely considered the best GM out of all 3 groups I'm part of. I am regularly requested to run campaigns. People borderline fall asleep in the games others run. There's also no tension because they know that these Coville acolytes will fudge rolls until all PCs survive the battle.

If you're a good GM, it's an inmate talent you can hone over time. You're born that way. If you aren't, then no amount of shitty advice is going to make up for your lack of talent. It just is what it is. This idea that everyone should "try" DMing is retarded. The idea that anyone can be good at it? lolno. Its like some fat divorced on who suddenly decides he's gonna become a famous author. Fat chance. Most people fucking suck at GMing. Hell, most of them suck at playing, but at least in that case the game depends less on them.

Did you try and get them to play something marginally different to 5e like ACKS or Pathfinder with 12 million rules for them to remember? Get them used to other systems buy running short campains with rules light systems like Mothership or Cairn.
>>
>>97270251
I don't even think rules light systems are always necessary; nine times out of ten, the people complaining about being unable to get their groups to try a new thing are doing a dogshit job of pitching the game. I will say it again: don't expect the players to buy in to learning a new game based on you telling them how cool it is; run a one shot with pre generated characters that introduces the basic rules and showcases how fun the game is.
>>
>>97270251
If you have to ease your group into playing other systems, there's already a problem. Alongside that, if you are fucking sick of generic D&D fantasy bullshit, playing more generic D&D fantasy bullshit isn't a solution to that grievance.

I think session zeros should be a thing, formal or informal. Either way GM/DM advice is useless because every GM, theor skills, style, and what they want is different. Some GMs probably benefit from having 20 pages of notes for a session and planning for every possibility, my notes are a few stat blocks for likely enemies and some possible loot with me winging the rest. Some GMs might like reading 5 page backstories, I for one just want to know family, friends, origin, and goals of PCs. Some GMs like games built around the story where it's 90% roleplayong 10% mechanics, I for one love mechanics and combat.
