What the fuck why have I never seen this box before? Is this just the alarith, and then half a normal box worth of sprues for the sentinels and wardens? How much did this cost, and did they make this for other factions? Pretty cool honestly.
>>
>>97217126
>What the fuck why have I never seen this box before?
IIRC it and the other boxes like it were only carried for 1-2 years.
>>
>>97217141
What a shame, they're really cool. Can imagine they weren't around for long though, seems like most people would rather just pull from their full armies or get the bespoke warbands
>>

Something with ships. Spaceships, sky ships, regular old maritime ships. Doesn't really matter. Just a game of vehicular thingies fucking each other up. Could even do it like Blood Bowl but it's about doing hyperviolent races instead of handegg sports. I'd even be down for a fantasy analogue to titanicus.

The glyphs are shorthand for the same information. I don't play Warcry and immediately understand it
Movement, defence, health
range, number of attacks, to hit, damage (either the default value of you fail a to hit and the damage if you pass or if you roll a 6)

>What is this?
/TG/ DEVELOPED A GAME
IT IS PLAYABLE. IT HAS BEEN PLAYED.
EXPEDITION is a ~1880s era, Jules Verne-inspired retro-futurist, underground blood soaked adventurescape.
It is a Skirmish wargame. Two players with their own expeditions, on a hexgrid map, explore & fight each other for victory and profit.

3 versions of the rules exist, 2 of which have been playtested. The main one is 2e, to be found :

The newly established Mughal government in Delhi is trying to focus on achieving unity across the empire. After Bahadur Shah II died in 1862, his son Mirza Mughal was crowned as Akbar III. Greatly influenced by lemurian mysticism, he is planning to continue the project of his ancestor Akbar I, the “Din-I Ilahi” philosophy of unity and harmony between the different faiths of the subcontinent, now intertwined with lemurian mysticism. The difficulty of lemurian mystics and lords is difficult to quantify, though many within the top ranks of his administration are of lemurian origin. This is worrying many non-lemurian lords and nobles, as the tendency to blindly follow prophecy makes them passive followers of fate in their eyes.
>>
We could probably tie this lore a bit more with the lemurian one. Any suggestions how?
>>
>>
Also, for the option of a neomughal book, here are some tokens and units I've made. I do need to add more lemurian-related stuff, so any ideas would be appreciated.

So what you're saying is, to separate your game from D&D, all you have to do is proclaim to your players, "Alright gang, in this setting, everyone has nice tits". Is it really that simple?
>>
>>97216952
>What wouldn't be safehorny nowadays, something that would scream 'I am deviant'?
making the sexy female character canonically underage
>>
>>97216969
Precisely. This guy >>97200938 said it already but just compare current year fantasy art compared to stuff from the 1930s to '80s
>>
>>97196293
Dragon's Dogma AD&D but with monster hunter controls.
Dungeon Meshi AD&D but with cooking.
So maybe add more than just basic D&D. Classic AD&D is a great base for your fantasy world/setting/game etc. Just add more to it other some power fantasy BS. Hell people love the basic setting, so if you changing stuff from it. Don't make it worse, look at Woke DND settings and games. Sure you have activists and tourist defend it, but they won't play or buy the games now. Hell will be honest, sometimes not changing much can be a good thing too. Since everyone want to change it so it feel unique and not like D&D they make it worse, and shocker people like the D&D feel. Maybe sometimes just go with it.

Anon I almost hit word limit on a post about faeries, of course I've already built Ivy. I'm honestly not even sure why she is green other than her ability being very weird and simic being the "total bullshit busted" colors

Gimme rakdos faeries. If we don't get any in Lorwyn and Reality Fracture fucks with the color pie and doesn't give us rakdos faeries, I will be quite disappointed.
>>
>>97217154
Aren't rakdos faeries basically imps? You have Blim. He is a faerie, almost.
>>
>>97217159
No see that’s exactly what I’m talking about here >>97217109
I dislike that faeries have to be pushed out of a niche they fit in perfectly well just because other creatures can fill it.

If Merfolk and Jellyfish can both be in blue then I want SOME rakdos faeries. It doesn’t even have to be a viable tribe, I just want to explore the space with faeries

What "magical realm" and edgy stuff do you like including in your RPGs?
For me is forceful genderbending spells that can't be undone.

For me it's polygyny and default female bisexuality. In most settings this is trivially justifiable by a huge portion of young men getting themselves killed adventuring, soldiering, by marauding monsters, etc.

Also cat/fox/wolf ears.

How do you feel about scheming evil kobolds? Cause I might have a story for you...
>>
>>97215754
I think of kobolds as redundant discount gobbos only good for midget tossing challenges, but I'll admit that's just because I'm still very pissed at my very first DM always playing them like vietcongs and killing off my characters back in the early 90s. So, I'm always up for a story in which they get btfo.
>>
>>97153880
I am so terrified of my players pointing out magical realm that my NPCs generally point the exact opposite direction, meaning we have settings full of tittymonsters who treat other people with respect.

There are zero genders.
There are two sexes though.

Intersex people are intersex. It's in the term. Still not a third sex, just a mutation. To even consider it a third sex, intersex would have to have reproductive capabilities that differed from the two sexes, such as functional testes and functional ovaries at the same time.

Hey /tg/ here's the origins and explanation of the xenomorph and its setting.

-Explains the Weyland Yutani world and offers a bonus animated story
-Explains various features of the xenomorph such as how it actually sees without eyes
-Explains HR Giger and Dan O Bannon's original inspirations for the xenomorph
-Explains logically how the xenomorph is closer to the truth and is a combo of 2 civilizations.
-Provides 3 entire civilizations for the xenomorph
-Shows images of what the real xenomorph homeworld looks like and its bestiary
-Links to 1 extra bonus document explaining the Space Jockey's world.
-Great music fitting the atmosphere of the setting throughout the document.
-Great artwork along with the explanations.

Enjoy. May you use this setting and explanations in your own games well.

I personally really like the other gimmicks the miners bring to the table to want to totally remove them as a unit, but something like for every unit of miners you can pay 1ppm for another unit to follow them down the tunnel and arrive at the same time/place would be cool. Similar to the skaven drill weapons team.

>>97216968
Pretty much this. It's a free upgrade to shield and choppa boys that gives you more flexibility. In a worst case scenario it's lobbing out a few arrows a turn and you can stand and shoot, while if you get an early objective you can just volley fire into chaff units or blocks of infantry while retaining board control.

>>97217027
I love the detail that orc bullies are those that are too old or crippled to go into fights. So they just let the gobbos have it instead, lmao

There is in fact +1WS/BS as a cybertheurgy, which is very easy to throw on them because they have a 2+ save and as such don't give a damn about feedback.
A decent squad of buffed-up Domitars essentially project a 12" infantry exclusion zone with all that D2 firepower, only EW or W3 termies can really push into it. The only major downsides for them are that they go in fairly exclusive slots, are quite vulnerable to anti-tank guns and can't score well with an embedded Magos since they're Vanguard, but they do actually have a good chance of scoring Vanguard with their guns.

They can't go in transports, since they're Cybernetica and don't have the rule the Scyllax and Echidnax have that lets you fold them up and put them in vehicles. They're also just huge models, it would be a little silly if they could fit in anything but specialist transports.

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>How do I get started?

Not really when the shovel is more expensive than the basic melee weapons and you can't mix it with a shield since shields always take up 1 hand thus not allowing you to make a 2-handed melee attack with the shovel.

That's fantastic anon, I don't personally have a reason printer so my stuff is all a combination of my buddy's, ebay pickups, and the only-games order that just came in. Only an issue with one set (heretic troopers) but a print defect of missing a whole ass leg and a full trooper missing is unacceptable

What the others said already
- Playtests with friends/regulars means you achieve echo chamber effect. The most infamous example is DnD and its retarded armour rules of the earliest editions - it made sense to the ten guys playing together and nobody fucking else, but they tested it between themselves, so it sticked.
- Use point-blank, short, medium and long range penalties (or lack of those), instead of every x feet; if you need to differente guns in this, use the standard
* handguns gain advantage in point and short, but penalty at long
* shotguns and other pellet weapons are equally effective at all ranges, but the effective range is on par with pistols (good fucking luck scoring a kill with a buckshot at 200 yards, but you will hit the deer)
* rifles and other long guns get penalty at point blank range
* scopes add a bonus to mid- and long range and only those
* any weapon modifications could change this penalty/bonus
* aiming action adds a bonus to your shot, regardless of range and weapon used
* aiming action extends effective range of the gun, multiplying the distance ranges, too
* ammo type might affect both ranges and penalties
And since this is pre-written, you don't have to adjust it, because it's just a fixed modifer for that specific gun for the whole fight
All of which gives you far more room to work with, rather than accounting every single X feet as the sole tracker and having to re-calculate penalty every single fucking attack - a computer can do that on a fly, but it slows the shit out of any game of pretend
- The whole "big penalty in point-blank because you have a scope" is purely a vidya balancing. At such range you BOTH have the closeness of the target and the sights still on the gun; the actual issue is having a long rifle at something that's at your face. so if it's not a carbine, you might lack the sheer space to lift the gun
