>>7766179I never looked too much at the numbers on social media, but I do recognize how slow my improvement is, or how bad I am for many things, like perspective, figure drawing, digital painting... It doesn't get in my head...
>>7766202Even slow improvement is an improvement. eventually things just click and you will see it was all worth it.
Spent all day icing my hands and resting them to no relief until I saw a Rippetoe video where he says "Do twenty sets of neutral chinups"...I drew for 2hrs completely pain free and finished the piece I was moping over not being able to work on.He's the real fucking deal holy shit, even talked smack about doctors
>>7766175It's tough isn't it? I'd like to draw beautiful women without giving in to lust.
>>7766376>I'd like to draw beautiful women giving in to lust.
what the fuck ever happened to this dude? his schizo posts shill videos, his artwork looked like it took a nose dive in quality. its like he just used his channel as a final grift to fuel some drug addiction or something
>>7760534surpised theres no update or leak for this yet. I saw another thread about this at the beginning of this year
ngl, i trashed this guy hard because in my mind, the level of regression he had was unreal, i even accused him of being someone else using his account to the point he had to post a video of himself to prove me and others wrong.Anyways, i had a combo with someone who participated on the course and they told me they were really disappointed, the course was just the basic bullshit you see your typical artsloptuber put weekly and that his old videos have better info than the whole thing.
>Dumbass anime girls>Shit renderingSeems right up nu- /ic/'s alley. Algorithms brain rotted zoomers into liking bottom of the barrel, quantity over quality grade A doodoo feces.
>>7762949I've been in this shithole for years, retards like (you) will never be satisfied, go download more books and courses maybe you'll improve a bit if that.
Why you should not trust youtube shills:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH1WEYF8rlAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twy5Wo8m284Do not worry pressure levels. 1024 is more than enough.Remember to ignore all chinese shills. What do you guys think of samsung s9 fe? Think it's a good first digital tablet?
>>7764897i think screen is sourced from galaxy tab, this device looks like slighlty modified galaxy tab ultra with few changes. With 14 inch screen it will be longer than 13inch ipad with same width, i dont have problem with ipad width but that extra inch of lenght will be welcome, im using clip stuidio with 1 floating window for reference, on ipad sometimes it feels bit akward to use like that. Im thinking about swaping, i could flip my ipad air 13 with apple pencil for that wacom. Worse APU, more ram, much better screen, bigger, more memory, sd card, and normal stylus with matte screen. Im suprised with that price desu, less than galaxy tab ultra
Is 12GB RAM on an ipad pro a bad idea? Should I go for 16GB for more layers in Procreate?
Is deco 01 v2 good?I have it lying arround but goddamn its hard.K am obviously a beginner, been working on my mark making first but lines i easily do on paper i have to do 4-5 times on it and it kinda takes away from other shit i have to learn. You guys think its worth sticking to it or should i go trad?I hear screen tablets should have at least 16 inches and those are almost 1000 dollars where i live
Be honest anonDo you get jealous of artists who manage to make a living from their work?
I don't and I'd love to find communities of artists that also didn't care. Every community I've been a part of was ruined by them
>>7765174Nah. If I wanted to I could. But the PR aspect of art is a game. Which is somewhat separate from the art. You really should look at it that way.
>>7765783Let me know if you find one cause same
how do i imitate his style as a poorfag artist who only has H and B pencils and copy paper?
>>7765174Yes just like I get jealous of rich people that were born rich, never worked a day in their life and never will. I live in a street with 2 of those guys, one of them bought an expensive sports car at 18...
Is there a particular reason you cant learn to draw using your left side of the brain?I know the right side is the one everyone desires, but most people can't use it 100% everytime. So why not learn to draw using the analitical side of the brain?I think I can draw nicely taking into account I still use my symbol drawing skills.

Why do many artists choose not to monetize their own artwork? Should artwork be free or pay-walled?
>>7765763I'd agree 50% with you anon. The artists that are here, on 4chan and such with you are not popular. And probably don't get the recognition that you think they get. I know because I too am that loser artist. The artist that are successful are the people from India that have no life except for posting shit on twitter.

How can I stop being a permabeg?I always wanted to draw from when i was in kindergarten but my visual accuracy and ability to think in 3d was very bad and got discouraged myself. In art class everybody could accurately copy images and photos but i suffered from low visual accuracy. And I can't think in 3d. I can't imagine a cube from some 45 degree angle because I can't intuitively grasp how I should draw angles and lengths of the corner of the cube. And my gestures from photos also suck as I can't accurately see drawings and get proportions right so i try to copy every contour curves in process to get the proportions correct... and as a result I SUCK ASS!I have 3 questions and i wish anyone with good knowledge would help me.1. How can I copy accurately and get right proportions? Any book/video course? Try notans? Or croquis?2. How can I get the 3d feels in my head? Should I try sketchfab cubes? or try memorising my rubber?3. How can I get gestures flowy and proportionally accurate? I have 0 clues on this.
>>77647531. Messure and observe. Look for negative space, spot shapes and try to replicate them. Don't work in details, always check whole figure.2. Scott Robertson book, grinding simple forms, cubes and spheres then more complex ones. Always think about stuff that is behind your vision and its volume.3. Glenn Vilppu, go watch him. Practice lines, how they define forms and how they overlap, practice curves. Basically try to make them go like snake haha. You can do it anon, you are pretty decent right now.

>>7766164/threadIt's really a combo of observation + form + Elder vampire Vilppu that make anyone go from /beg/ like OP to pro tier.
Trying to figure this out as i go. I feel to slow when it come to finshing projects and dont have a strong sense of how long pros take on each project when it comes to multiple characters or one shot concepts or how there workflow is.

>>7766393You know, the pose packs I use seem to be half poses like these. As a permabeg I find these awfully difficult, specially because I have trouble with really basic stuff, such as proportion. Still, I try to not skip them
>>7766397i guess it's okay to do them once in forever, these type of poses still have some learning value to themidk, luv u
>>7766393the way i usually approach drawing poses like these is by doing a messy loose sketch first to figure out proportions, when i'm satisfied i'll move on to drawing on top of it while erasing the messy lines and also fixing proportions if needed
Quick survey: if you work digitally, is it cheating to use morph/transform?Sure, no rules just tools, but since figure drawing is mostly internalizing the basics of the figure, isn't transforming just a way to sabotage learning? Thoughts?
>>7766409if you're still learning, it can be a bad habit to use those tools, but once you actually learn it, (almost) everything is fair gamei use liquify tool A LOT, it saves so much time

Have you tried entering an illustration contest, /ic/? How did it go?https://www.pixiv.net/contest/tankatoillust
i did once irl. had to draw it live within two hours. placed third, no prize. kind of fun, kind of stressful
>>7766239very nice, what kind of medium did you use? post the drawing if you still have it
>>7766346it was saved on a pc that's now trashed so unfortunately i don't. the medium was digital- the contest came from a tech-skills convention so there were alot of digital-based contests there (they held contests for graphic design and digital animation too). had to bring your own drawing tablet though which was weird.
If you can't understand gesture drawing it's over right? I've watched hundreds of tutorials, read Vilppu, Loomis, Stanchfield, you name it. But I simply do NOT understand how to do it. My hands are unable to replicate it. They just keep talking about feeling the form and being loose and representing the contour and my mind just cannot transform this into concrete instructions for my hands. I feel like it's something that you either get or you do not.
>>7765186It's not a "gesture drawing" but the piece demonstrates a clear understanding of gesture
>>7758107>representing the contournobody ever says to follow the contour. gesture is about lines of action.... what does contour even mean, who said this or where did you pick this up?you are trying to draw shapes, you need to draw forms, like weight, flesh, a sense of 3D, imagine the flesh pinching on her back when she bends backwards, you have to imagine the weight and like, the flow of things, a direction where a gesture is projected, like if the girl bends herself backwards try to animate that in your head, she goes forward and and then bends her flexible back, can you imagine line in your head, like a trajectory of that movement?the arrows probably don't help but do NOT draw contours. like the thighs you drew, you're thinking in 2d shapesalso don't give a fuck about accuracy, I made the arms too long but gesture isn't about accuracy
oh it's a time-wasting spam threadI forget that 4chan is all spam now.
