Why were so many of the "OG" game designers insufferable faggots? It seems like the vast majority of game designers from the 70s and 80s were self-obsessed dickheads who openly hated and looked down on their customer base. There were obviously exceptions, and some like Gygax would go on to regret and apologize for it, but still, what made so many "professionals" back then such fags?

>1) What does the character have in their pockets/purse?
String, small adamantine sheath knife, coin purse, leather handkerchief, a clay pipe and tobacco

>2) What does your character do on a Sunday?
No observances one way or the other.

>3) What was the best birthday gift the character received?
The knife mentioned above.

>4) What does the character think about the policies of the mayor/leader of the community?
Doesn't bother learning the ones that don't involve taxes and/or vices as they vary considerably from place to place and he and his traveling companions have, as they say, "no fixed address".

>5) What is the character's handwriting like?
Lettering is atrocious, numerals are decent. Barely literate, good at finances.

If you are too lazy to come up with your own scenarios and campaigns then you are a retard and """official""" modules are a waste of paper/data when the designers should be coming up with cool races, spells, and other mechanics instead of making dungeons only uncreative cretins will ever use.
Why the fuck are you GMing if you are too lazy to do the very bare minimum? Every single module I have seen is the most railroaded piece of shit imaginable that can't handle players doing a slightly different thing than expected. It's everything I hate about CRPGs brought to the TTRPG experience.

Not that anon but a ton of the bits of detailing are just wrong. Just look at the complete butchered feet for instance. Or the wheels for a fucking blatant one. When you're familiar with the models it's obvious.
>>
>>97262733
>How could you tell?

It's as simple as this; I refuse to believe anybody who stoops to posting and defending ai generated images actually owns any models or plays any games.

Furthermore:

When you actually spend your time building and painting models, you develop a keen eye for fine detail.

Ai intrinsically looks like crap, and something just feels wrong about it when you look at it for more than three seconds. It's like eating a hamburger you grilled yourself versus one from mcdonalds, or watching a porno featuring a live human woman versus a video of some schlub plowing a realdoll.

I'm not going to go into any further detail that might in any way assist you to attempt better forgeries, be content in your failure and post this garbage no more.

On the spectrum of rubber forehead aliens to complete starfish aliens that are made out of silica and breathe methane, where are YOU specificially comfortable with. Does there come a point where an alien becomes too weird for you to "relate" to in order to include them in your games as playable races?

Personally I am fond of aliens that look plausibly like they could have evolved in a different world and have no distinguishable lineage to earth life, even if they share some superficial features.

Very cool designs from what I have seen
>>
Despite being kind of a shitpost with the rape stuff, Three Worlds Collide has a pretty interesting take where the physical attributes are alien, but the mentalities are sort of an uncanny valley in-between human and alien.

The Babyeaters are giant insect-like crystals. They're slightly less advanced than humanity, but they're capable of space travel and literature. They're highly intelligent, have an honor-based culture, and have achieved world peace. They also eat their own children, as the name suggests. The Babyeaters give birth to extremely large litters, so they let only the strongest survive while eating the rest to conserve resources. As they became more intelligent, instinct transformed into culture - eating your own children became a moral duty and the greatest thing you could possibly do. The children are fully conscious and very much don't want to be eaten - in fact, they're digested alive for about a month until they finally die. And the Babyeaters do love their children, it's just that it's not as important as their duty to society. They also have an interesting concept of forgiveness, based on the scientific method - a mistake based on insufficient data can be forgiven, but a deliberately different interpretation of the same data absolutely can't.

On the other end of the spectrum is the Superhappies, an extremely advanced race of highly luminescent blobs. If the Babyeaters are the chimps of the universe, the Superhappies are the bonobos - they're obsessed with pleasure, to the point where they literally communicate with sex. They also exchange emotions and memories doing this, creating a pseudo-hivemind, and are horrified when they learn that humans don't. They also don't have a concept of deception. When they learn about the Babyeaters, they're so traumatized that a specialist group of Superhappies that lack emotions, the Kiritsugus (yes, like the Fate character - I told you it was a shitpost), have to take over for a while.

I'm hoping that this could be a long, long setting campaign that we can flesh out some time. I have stories in the works if this ends just right.
>Next story will take place after our break: Several months have passed in-universe, and the Garou - if they don't fuck it up - have become somewhat amicable to the group of Hunters who have set up shop here.
>Local Sabbat activity can be pointed to and the Garou assist in taking them down.
>Duhain causing trouble? The Hunters can rough 'em up and tell em to fuck off.
>Wraith? Uuuuh. Banish with the power of Jebus, something. I tried dropping hints that maybe they should be weary of Wraiths and Spirits but they just sorta ignored it.
>>97263582
>Driving backwards but failing to shoot the Garou-thing.
Considering the M2 never had a stabilizer, that would definitely happen. Even with all machine-guns aimed forward, while most would hit the thing, they're .30 cal. Those can hurt people, but I doubt a Were-Thing would feel em even if its Regen is fucked with.

It's more that military hardware in WoD is no joke. Either the were-thing will bounce uselessly off of the tank, or the were-thing will be so absurdly strong that it will take a plot device to kill it and prevent it from mincing the players and everything else before they can even get near the tank.

Though you can always come up with your own stats for the tank, so it's got less soak and less armaments.

Thread #02 Lean Winter on the Tundra
Previous Thread: >>97090196

Welcome to /un0/, an RP thread for playing a World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness Hunter. For any OOC questions about WoD/CofD, check the official general. >>97224887

Rules:
>We are acephale. There is no storyteller, we are not a quest.
>This thread is based primarily but not exclusively in the nWoD/CofD game Hunter: the Vigil. However, Vigil is defined by being highly setting agnostic, with a system for creating entirely custom monsters that do not exist in other WoD/CofD games. Thus, you have significant freedom in what you want to play and what you want to hunt. Feel free to play a member of the Society of Leopold, or a member of the Lucifuge hot on the tail of a Lasombra.
>Namefagging is encouraged but by no means mandatory.
>Keep in mind that even highly experienced Hunters typically only have fractured pieces of the puzzle, and every table has their own canon. The night is dark and full of misinformation.
>/un0/ is conceived of as an experimental end to end encrypted program that is very hard to compromise, retains very little data and purges that data regularly. Please play an actual Hunter.
>Spoiler any OOC discussion.

Happy hunting.
Unless this thread somehow takes off like a rocket, this will be the last un0 thread for the foreseeable future. Towards the end of the thread, please give your feedback in regard to these shorter, limited run RP threads.

>To answer your question - ghouls are slaves to the vampire, doing their master's dirty work.
Shit man, I know about Renfields. Why call them ghouls though? They drink their master's blood, they don't eat flesh.

I still think you're playing this a bit risky anyway. So many things can go wrong and get a promising young hunter killed through no fault of their own.
>>
>>97259929
If you're that deadset on blooding her with a vamp, be sure to be there alongside her.
>>
Speaking of vampires. I'm glad I live out in the boonies and only hunt weird ugly stuff, half of which is the equivalent of a very dangerous animal.

Because I know I'd fold immediately to a sexy she-vampire.
>>
>>97262697
Truly. Sexy vampires are such a danger. I'm not sure how other hunters resist. The one time I came face to face with one, she was working against a mutual enemy so there was no need to kill her. It was like she read my mind with how sensual she was.

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or peoples' homebrew wargames.
The >>>/tg/hwg thread doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to more specific games.
This thread isn't tied to a game, a publisher, or a genre, let's just talk about fun wargames. Any scale, any company, any miniatures.

>Examples of games that qualify.
A Song of Ice and Fire, Argatoria, Batman Miniature Game, Carnevale, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings,
Deadzone, Dragon Rampant, Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander, Freebooter's Fate, Frostgrave, Gaslands, HeroClix,
Kings of War, Maelstrom's Edge, Malifaux, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Masters of the Universe: Battleground, Moonstone,
Oathmark, OnePageRules, Open Combat, RelicBlade, Rumbleslam, SAGA, StarCraft, Stargrave, Sludge, Urban War, Void,
Warcaster, Warmachine, Xenos Rampant, Xenotactics...

In all seriousness, how can you get yourself to enjoy playing games when /tg/ players are so insufferable, socially and aesthetically in real life
>try to play 40k
>it's all actual obese autists with animes T shirts and don't understand the concept of an inside voice
>try to play RPGs
>It's fat 40 year olds with goatee or ungroomed beard and shaved head, marvel T shirt and jorts and wearing those weird flat Irish hats
>visit LGS on card gaming night
>take one whiff and immediately turn around and leave

It's actually distressing because I want to actually get to play in the hobby I love so much, but it doesn't seem to be possible if you can't find normal people to play with

Not only this but hes STILL salty about it being pointed out just a dozen posts above him where CYMK, which uses K for black, is an incredibly popular printing standard, older than printing it self as this setup for subtractive color was codified for stained glass windows and is legitimately thousands of years old and there are church documents dated to thousands of years ago talking about using similar colors for how to make effects for stained glass windows.

The setting is undergoing a Protestant Reformation in the south. The colder parts of the League are gravitating towards hardcore reformed denominations with predestination and strict communal hierarchies. The warmer parts either like the Church or just want to stop its political dominance, similar to England during the reign of Henry the VIII. The Papal State wants to maintain its dominance and plays up the threat of the Caliphate that is looking more and more like a paper tiger.

Elves turn into Ghosts, Wraiths and all sorts of different phantoms. The undeath curse reacts their fay blood, giving them ephemeral qualities, ability to float, pass through matter and disappear from sight. These undead elves are only somewhat intelligent and even more temperamental when they were in life, spending their un-life haunting the living, either out of wrath, hunger or for their own twisted version of amusement.

Enough to SPLATTER GOHAN ACROSS THE STRATOSPHERE WITH A SINGLE PUNT.

The more interesting story is the one where Gohan dies an agonising and humiliating death while wishing he was never born.

4x boost. Maybe enough to take down Nappa or at least not instantly lose

Arrive 9 Years Before Clover.
Human.
Ceroba companion. (300 CP)
Chujin companion. (100 CP after discount)

THE GOAL:
Get adopted by Chujin and Ceroba before bad things happen to them and Kanako.
(That stuff happened less than 9 years before UTY right?)
Comfy somewhat weebish life where I wear kimonos and learn how to make corn chowder.

I don't really need any perks or anything. A ten year vacation jump with my new family sounds nice.
