Wizards ideally start as soon as the kid has learned to read and write, while shamans and the like either follow whatever local tradition they might have, or get snatched by fairies and come back as raving magic lunatics two hundred years later. Do you have a favorite thing that you'd never actually play/play as?For example, I just realized that I really fucking love the Samedi/Cappadocian clan/bloodline of Vampire: The Masquerade.But I don't think I'd ever consider playing one, and I'd likely opt to play a Malkavian instead under virtually all circumstances, or a Tremere. Samedi doesn't even register on the list of characters I'd like to play, even when I do have concepts I'd include if I were the ST/GM.
