What system has the best rules for playing as a giant?
>>97168772/thread.
>>97175543Stop it I just want to find a systemI'm looking into the stuff that's been suggested
>>97167175>You are big>But everyone else is also big, thereby completely voiding the pointGenius. Don't forget your helmet when you go outside.
>>97167254More like totally pointless. Now the Imperial Ogres homebrew (by one of the designers) for 2E, that's ogre rules with some chest hair. Still pretty far away from being an actual giant, though.

Really enjoying my time painting MESBG minis
I'm split on what team to try in a TT league that's starting a 2025 season.>Black OrcsI think they'll play a bit better than before thanks to the Troll buff, Brawlin' Brutes, Secure the Ball pickups, and getting fouling goblins online being super easy, but they're obviously still going to be quite bad.>Chaos DwarfsNever played them in a proper league before, 2025 changes are really fucking dumb for them especially but something is still telling me to give it a go, especially as it's not like the other option I'm mulling is all that great to start.
>>97177678Very nice, you shall pass
>>97176631> Playing venatorsNo, you completely deserve it
>>97178679Venators are such a retarded idea>for bounty hunters to work together they need to adopt a special religious structure and wear theatre masks and give up their namesso stupid.

I'll ask one last time. What are the signs that your game is at a table in front of an opponent? Your art screenshots it's not an argument. Give it your best shot. I don't view any art discussions or battlereports as gameplay. It's money now, so I invest.
>>97179079>it's money nowtechnically the opposite of an investment
>>97179096>I've been rug pooled fuck
>>97179079Battle reports are not gameplay huh? I have supplied counters to your points, but you still have yet to offer your deep ambiguous points. I'm waiting.
Unserious general filled with trolls who would rather self-reply all day rather than actually talk about a fucking game they profess to like and play. I'm positive the fuckfabbie cuck couldn't tell you anything about the boardstate in the attached image he would rather bitch about how the box costs 200 swahali bucks.
GW kept mentioning space marines or even primarchs coupling with regular human women and it always took me out of it. Like how the fuck? Wouldn't she get ripped in half? But then it dawned on me. They just have tiny penises. Well not by human standards, but relative to body-size. Like think about it, why would you supersize the dick too when there literally do not exist women big enough to handle that size? So the simplest explanation is they just keep the penis size of a regular human.
>>97172457No, but they are asexual + sterile and according to Fabius biologically incapable of getting erect.
>>97178393Given that they are encased in their armor 24/7 it does make sense that they don't need sex.
>>97178214>vocel Nope they've involcels.
>>97178393Not until Slaanesh gets zer way with the Emperors Children at least.
>>97178393>>97178522Prime Slaanesh corruption material.
Like, the feel of gritty black-and-white screen-printed books. Simple and pulpy with that semi-woodcut-looking art.Cairn? Shadowdark? Who wins here on aesthetic grounds
>>97176462Anything AI generated that's full of out of tune droning I guess.
>>97178187>argument from authority>artist intentNTA but that's a poor argument
I think most dungeon synth is wank
>>97178074>Where do I go to hate on old school RPGS and make new school RPGS?>I know! The movement that enjoys old school rpgs! >but we have to kick these old boomer game chuds out
>>97176462What even is Dungeon Synth outside of a music genre?
What is it about? Why is it interesting? Should I care about it?
>>97178235From what has been said by the designers (who have since left Hasbro/WotC), the DMG blurb is all that's going to happen. They didn't want big sourcebooks or campaign settings books. They just wanted to use Greyhawk as an example template for GMs to design their own settings.
>>97178235>I would love to see a resurgence of Greyhawk as a settingWhy? It never had anything interesting to begin with.I would honestly just pay an actual modern fantasy writer to worldbuild a fantasy setting from scratch.
>>97179274Hard disagree on the uninteresting part but yes, agree that WotC should do another campaign setting design contest by amateurs like they did with Eberron, which was itself a clever take on classic D&D.
>>97178235>>97179280why the fuck are you still interested in wotc setting books? they're uniformly barebones dogshit full of retcons
>>97179280What's so interesting about it?
Felt cute, decided to run through another retro licensed choose-your-own-adventure. But first...ATTENTION MODS - THIS IS NOT A QUEST THREAD, BUT A GAMEBOOK STORYTIMEOkay, now that that's out of the way, let's begin...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6dNULgQe48

>Cheese it to the teleporter!OR>Grab the emeralds with your gloved pawsOR>Fuck 'em up!
>maximum focus on battles and fighting in small teams>fighting is about reducing each other's invisible HP pools>when characters get downed they can just get up and go back to fighting>every character is a collection of magic powers, whole combat and player expression is about taking turns using their list of cool movesfor how shitty DnD is at replicating fantasy adventures, is it secretly a perfect system to run Battle Shonen type stories? Are there any good Homebrews that do that? Have you ever tried it?
>>97177172Moving around on a grid is lame, anon. It's limiting.
>>97172082Why would you do a TC of 5e when you can probably find numerous systems that do the same thing and give you the content you crave?
>>97175714>A "Normal" fighter can't throw a guy into a door and break itYour DM a shit
>>97178919Well thats the point isn't it?Ultimately in order to do that kind of thing in DnD you're relying on DM fiat and playing mother may I. The game, by RAW, doesn't support it. And whats worse, it doesn't have a good set of guidelines about what you SHOULD be able to do. At least in 3.5 you had those example charts in places. Like a DC 40 Acrobatics check would let you double jump and shit.
>>97179169Unless you insist on playing with spastics, what's the issue? Your DM a shit
I love minis and so should you :)post your favorite minis or minis that you think are terrible
not enough monkeying around in this thread
>>97173408Honestly seems like tough conversion material beyond a head swap. Maybe link two together as spawn/mutant?
The new Infinity set was very unique, I keep seeing people with their new dinos.
>>97173408I guess the guns could be SciFi'd up a bit by adding greeblies and/or swapping out the barrels.
>>97173408definitely armor plating. greenstuff armor is surprisingly easy to make and make look good with soft sculpting tools. some sort of techy looking backpack or tank.
So all the chaos gods have an animal that represent them with some thematic purposes behind it >Khorn Has Canis, pack animals that follows the strongest and can be very ferocious animals who rips their prey apart. Makes sense for the god of blood and combat>Tzeench Birds, again makes sense because he's a god of trickery and planning and birds are always around spying on you. Hearing and watching what you do >Slaneesh Snakes, again makes sense because snakes can be very beautiful creatures but they also pack a deadly venom that will kill>NurgleFrogs, why? They aren't exactly creatures associated with death, diseases, rebirth or even nature itself. So why frogs?
>>97178695Yeah but they can't unbattery their demons.
>>97170948>and they excrete enormous amounts of methane gas, especially when stressed
>>97169109>Lord, I think we're giving the Pharoah mixed signals with this one>Yeah, now we do gnats than flies>Wait but won't the frogs eat them? >Trust the process, Mo.
>>97178786not to press the point too much, but yeah, they can just destroy the demon engine and free the demon
>>97170816>Slaanesh's animal is the cow I look at the Fiend of Slaanesh, Seeker of Slaanesh, Dechala, Azazel, Hellstriders, Pleasureseekers and all the charriots units. I see snakes, not cows
Hey /tg/, I'm a mega autist about space combat. Can't get enough. Played some Star Wars X-Wing, and was going to get into Armada but it died right as I was about to get into it. While I'm dabbling in a couple ground combat wargames, I'd really like to find a space combat wargame to play if there even is one. After some cursory searching, I've only found Dropfleet Commander and then a couple minis agnostic games I think. Why are there so few space combat wargames? How's Dropfleet Commander, does anyone have any experience with it? The idea of having a space battle and being able to have a ground battle with the sister game Dropzone Commander sounds really cool, having campaigns involving space and ground battles. But it doesn't seem like there's a particularly big community for here in Burgerclapistan. Are there any other space combat wargames that have an active community? Or is Dropfleet Commander my best bet and is it any good? It certainly looks really cool but I haven't delved into it at all.Space combat general otherwise I guess?

>>97176125obv I wasn't in the room but best I can figure is they really wanted to lean into the staged aspect with the fear and hope crap. hubris isn't incorrect per se, but I think it was more a lack of awareness. at no point do they seem to have stopped and said "let's look at this from 30,000 feet and see if this actually makes sense in context" and so what you end up with is a high profile heartbreaker. >>97176132my gut tells me that this was probably the case at some point but they lost interest
