Lets be honest. GW missed out on good opprotunities when they kept the skaven as grimderp parodies of rats. The Imperium would have loved having rat abhumans wrecking heretic lines with cunning and occasional ferocity.
>>

I feel like if you were to make Skaven an abhuman unit for Guard, they'd be a fast, fragile, infiltrating melee unit since that's a niche the guard doesn't really have
They'd give you Eshin rats, not rat ogres

>What is this?
/TG/ DEVELOPED A GAME
IT IS PLAYABLE. IT HAS BEEN PLAYED.
EXPEDITION is a ~1880s era, Jules Verne-inspired retro-futurist, underground blood soaked adventurescape.
It is a Skirmish wargame. Two players with their own expeditions, on a hexgrid map, explore & fight each other for victory and profit.

3 versions of the rules exist, 2 of which have been playtested. The main one is 2e, to be found :

He had the Eccentric Investor which messes with your recruitment. It doesn't specify Followers, so i figured if he read it that way we could play it that way. There are other rules of like kind which do specify you can take Specialists from them, so it's not unprecedented or anything. It did specify only the Actions don't generate Silver, but Ole isn't technically an Action.
There still was a problem, but it was that he recruited the Privets at 13 each instead of 16. I didn't notice until we were counting up silver. I was going to post that with other technical notes, but it came up now, so.

Would this list work? Also, we could probably use some list indicating the number of the most updated book.

>I'd recommend slapping that as an option onto the Inquisition unit as an option if you want many bullfighters since they're both Spanish.
I mean I have some ideas for spanish army units, though they are still very early on and I'd really like to finish the timeline reorganization first, since I really want to get around some of the history of carlism books for those

>Italo-Ethiopian War
Since in the previous writeup the timeline was this:

-1870: Axum obelisk is translated, the entrance is discovered.
-1870: the italians begin diplomatic talks to get it, but fail
-1873: Beginning of the Italo-Ethiopian War
-1875: Battle of Dogali. Pope declares a crusade, france joins the war.
-1878: Battle of Adwa. Final italian defeat. Treaty of Addis Ababa

Getting a version, any version, onto the lore doc/wiki is probably the next step before any modifications or additions. We've already seen so many versions of this writeup.
>>96906819
I like the one where it's during the Oriental Crisis personally.

Also, with regards to Spanish units, it might be more fun to have them not be from the actual army. A lot of new factions tend to lean really heavily in that direction while amongst the older ones it was only really the Uk with a military majority of units vs France's police gimmick and the American gunslinger options.
Crusader units, allies from all the minor Holy powers, that sort of thing could be a unique point.
>>
>>96908124
Unless you have strong feelings on it, i feel it being ambiguous fine. If we have to set something down, i feel it's more fun if you can, and don't think it would break anything.
He's a Character, so we'd be safe some kind infinite investor loop. Though, allowing that would be something fun for a sponsor. Just increase the Silver gained from Privet Escort to be higher than his cost, then allow recruiting Characters (or even just Eccentric Investors).

I agree with you about Spain. I'd especially like to see the Inquisition expanded on, seeing as that is a chart thing. Maybe an academic angle? A sort of Catholic Agarthan Society (that also does Inquisition things)?

The warp and the force aren't comparable whatsover. The force is an observable and somewhat physically founded mostly predictable phenomena. Warp entities are sentient manifestations of general emotions and the collective uncounscious with active personalities, most of which often times do nonsensical stupid shit because it fits their archetype. Manipulating chaos is not THAT hard, big E did it, Archeon did it, Eisenhorn did it, even Yvraine did it. Im sure Palpatine could end up in a tard wrangle situation given he's shown the skills to do so but they're completely different systems
>>

Imperial Guard and Navy could easily take them out via overwhelming force.
Imagining doing a strike solo but with 100 times the enemies rushing at you, that's how badly the Guardians would be outgunned and outnumbered, they'd get completely swarmed.

number of fighters depend on scenario being used. Generally 9 is the max recommended as most scenario will use 6-9 fighters.

Don't have to spend on credit at start, should save some to buy mesh armor, pay for medical. Or use the leftover to upgrade into a subjugator with smoke/flash grenade.

A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or peoples' homebrew wargames.
The >>>/tg/hwg thread doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to more specific games.

>Examples of games that qualify.
A Song of Ice and Fire, Argatoria, Batman Miniature Game, Carnevale, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings,
Deadzone, Dragon Rampant, Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander, Freebooter's Fate, Frostgrave, Gaslands, Judge Dredd,
HeroClix, Kings of War, Maelstrom's Edge, Malifaux, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Masters of the Universe: Battleground, Moonstone,

>more modern
No. It was sort of an aesthetic people used for a lot of vaguely weeby SF in the late 1980s so you occasionally see old stuff crop up. It's more of a 1950s trope.
>under $10/model
Well, you've got the old Battletroops models. https://ariesgamesandminis.com/collections/online-exclusive-battletroops
They're beefy 25mm, and one-piece metals, but they do exist and cost around $5-10 a pop. IIRC there's some other applicable models in the 25mm Stargrunt range as well. Ground Zero doesn't believe in putting actual images on their website for everything, however, and their sculpts are very hit-or-miss in addition to being closer to 1/72 than 25mm.
https://shop.groundzerogames.co.uk/25mm-stargrunt/japanese-corporate-merceneries.html

>Modern, padded armor, no helmets
Check the Colony 87 range from Crooked Dice. There are only a few models kicking around in there but it's the most functional 28mm source I know outside of rooting around in 3DP hell.

Went and looked it up - the only ones with serious quilting are the street punks
https://crooked-dice.co.uk/products/street-punks
"Maintenance worker C", "Muscle", "Chamberlain", "Pilot B" and the Colonial Citizens have panels of diamond quilt, while the Breaker and a couple of Traders have vertical quilting.
The "Authority Regulators" in the current Kickstarter have the same general armor pattern as the Paranoia sectroopers but the helmets are a bit wrong and there's no quilting. Might work as a base.
>>
>>96909550
There might be some Star Wars rebel snow soldiers, they tend to use diamond quilt for their cold weather gear. The long rebel helmet isn't exactly the same shape, but it's at least in the same swept back ballpark.

From what i can see looking over the SM doc again, they are only restricted by the options in the armory, but the point would be moot as the rozarius already gives a 4+ invul. you could get one but the save doesn't stack or get a bonus. it's a 4+ either way.

I'm a leaf living in a basement apartment, so I have a grow booth, carbon filter, and inline fan set up to ventilate my workshop. The thermostat is connected to a space heater inside that was set to keep the interior of the booth between 23C and 25C. I've increased it to 24-26 since then because I also thought that maybe it got too cold last night, and I moved the thermostat probe closer to the vat to get a more accurate reading of the ambient temp near the resin.

The reavers were the one unit without a full command group and the one where duplicates would be most noticeable, adding more bits and poses was a sound choice, it's not like there's a real difference in costs between making a mould for the already existing assets or for new assets.

What's fucked up is that they didn't go the full mile and free the griffon as well.

yeah that’s the one high elf model I would want. Well, the phoniex too, but I’ll wait for someone to sell it at something cheaper than $30 for it.

They’re demigryph riders who wear leather and ironwood armor due to their oath to alarielle to never wear metal in war. There’s descriptions of those outfits in a bit more detail in the story they’re in, but I don’t have that on hand

The protagonist had a limb regrown by a blessing of Alarielle or something too

I did quite enjoy Dark Harvest. I really, really loved the setting, this ultra miserable wet swamp that people lived in, and I liked trying to figure out who the big bad enemy of the story was.

It really did feel like something that could have fit in Warhammer Fantasy with some of the details scraped off.
