Just like chapter 28: starts gentle and awkward but turns rough and predatory in a way that they ends with Hinako cooking up breakfast for the Fishe while she brags to Miko about what she and Hinako did the night before.

I really like that the turning point in the conversation was that Shiori made Hinako laugh with something dumb she said. Even though she is actually trying now, at this point still has absolutely no idea how to handle a discussion like this beyond simply telling Hinako what she wants from her and praying she agrees through some strange conversation magic that Miko has that's supposed to replace "trick human into doing what you want" somehow. She absolutely fucks it up, because what else was ever going to happen droping her into a suicide negotiation as her very first honest social encounter?

But beneath all of the supernatural contrivances and cursed promises, Hinako genuinely is charmed by her fish's autrizzm on a basic human level. She wants to let herself like her.

But with their slightly more healthy mental states it's entirely possible they will go down the usual expected routed of getting boyfriends and getting married. It's not what I want, before you throw a hissyfit, but the manga does never once indicate anything other than a heteronormative worldview.

I get that this timeline is the one where they truly only had each other growing up, but that's still just friendship from what very little we could see. I get why so many artists and writers have latched onto this or yuri though. It is a compelling set-up for fanworks. It's just not, you know, really in the manga.

Frankly you can say the same about popular Het options, but the big difference is that nobody considers Het subtext as a thing and they automatically declare it as canon and if you don't like it, they cut off your head, even when it's not even shipptease.

In this series, putting these two together doesn't contradict what's established and can be considered a possibility without any problem. The couple itself feels like a way, and the best way, for both of them to achieve true happiness, considering that their lives haven't changed much beyond now being together.

Sure, in the same way making them now related because their parents actually married isn't contradicting anything, because we don't KNOW anything. There are like 2 pages of them as high school girls in the fnal timeline in which we learn nothing except that they still hang out.

When it comes to romantic implications and sexuality the only thing this manga has ever shown us is that Marina is attracted to boys. That's it. We don't get anything else to go on.
I will ignore the whole "I want to be a mother" angle, because that sentiment was Marina coping her mother would love her again and return to normal if she started a family she can attach to, but the implication that she actually was into Azuma in that timeline was pretty real. So while she probably doesn't need to crank out children anymore, we could at most pretend she is bisexual.
Shizuka on the other hand absolutely did not give a shit about Azuma and was just using him in the childhood timeline and we never saw her response to his confession in the high school timeline, so we cannot prove she has an interest in boys.

With such sparse foundations, I think it's very silly to pretend that them achieving true happiness is by becoming a couple or that they are even attracted to each other at all. Being supportive of each other doesn't require that and the only thing that could inhibit Marina is that her scar scares people away, so she will have a harder time finding a partner.

I don't think so, some high profile ones in terms of gameplay and hype are releasing shortly, but for yuri specifically there's nothing.. it's all MC sexual stuff from my understanding. Silver Palace seems to only feature the fem MC in promo material but they still give the option of of playing a male detective for example.
