>In the staff and cast interviews in the "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Special Feature" in the November 2025 issue of Monthly Gundam Ace, it is stated that Scirocco was the designer of the Hambrabi in this work. It is said that Scirocco designed it while on a Jupiter fleet heading to Jupiter, sent it to the Earth Federation Forces, and assembled it at the Augusta Research Institute according to the blueprints. However, the intention behind designing this third-generation mobile suit remains unknown. We will have to wait for the HG model kit in June for more information. The Chalia Rick Dom manual reveals that Rick Doms were prioritised to ace pilots(so Tokuwan included). The other green coloured ones copied and pasted across the background in episode 8 during the Luna II siege may have been a dud along with the number of Gelgoogs. Zeon Gelgoog gunpla comes out in June possibly with some new info as well. 01 Gundam and Sayla's Light Cannon did have fluff in their pbandai releases. Only new thing was that the 01 Gundam piloted was considered as skilled. (Not just skilled for the occasion but across the board, so better than Denim I guess)
Guncannon has a gatling arm in this deleted scene.

So new chapter in Japan seems to be a pretty obvious reference in the new enemiesShits going downReally hope this gets season 2 some day
Posting the volume 11 bonuses, starting with Lowji's training with Max and Olley. >The gist of this page is that Lowji is going to start attacking them like a wild dog, and they should run away to keep themselves alive until they find an opportunity to strike. >Olley is confused, and Max finds it very strange and expected something more along the lines of the training being about how to swing a sword. >Lowji replies saying that though he said he'd do some training with them, he's never done the kind of training Max mentioned. He's gotten as strong as he has up to this point as the result of having hunted monsters in dungeons by himself.
>>23802998>Lowji continues, saying that there is only training method he can teach them: "Place yourself on the edge of life and death, and continue to overcome." They repeat that last line and ask what happens if they fail, to which Lowji replies that you're done for in that case, that's life.>After the training is done, Olley comments that he didn't expect it to last all the way until dinner time, and still doesn't quite get the whole experience.>Max, on the other hand, has become able to sense the killing intent of wild animals and really wants to train with Lowji again. Olley is confused over the difference in how they remember the event.
And now the story of Tougo and Yihdra's first (real) kiss.>Tougo comments that this is his first real kiss in the flesh, since the previous time they technically did so was in a spiritual world of sorts (the fight against Bad End), to which Yihdra starts replying that that's true for her as well, but quickly realizes that's not technically true.>Tougo has a somewhat rare moment of spilling his spaghetti, saying that her having experienced that before shouldn't shock him or anything due to how beautiful Yihdra is, to which she replies his reaction/upset to what she said is perhaps a bit much.
>>23803013>Yihdra explains that Tougo was actually her first time too, and that she's referring to the time during the fight against Loulugart when she had to give him mouth-to-mouth, to which Tougo replies that he's not sure if you'd really count something like that done to save someone's life.>Yihdra replies that she is counting it, and then asks if they shouldn't go ahead and increase the count further, to which Tougo replies to please be gentle.

He wasn't in the poll since the beginning
>>23803862>the red gundam being on there at all is solely due to char wankYeah something that differentiates Japan and other Asian countries from the Eng speaking ones is that lot of voting is because the character/pilot is represented by the mobile suit. Besides Char and Red Gundam, this is also why the Strike Rouge is up there because people were voting for Cagali. So, for the latest Gundam show literally no one cares about Machu , and then no one cares about the GQX itself outside of Japan. Truly an unpopular design.
>>23803484this narrative that wing was unpopular in Japan needs to die. they fucking loved wing too.
>>23803913Personally, admittedly as someone not really into Seed's mechanical design to begin with, I think the Strike Rouge is a much more aesthetically pleasing suit than the original Strike. Something about using the classic colours on that design has just never looked right to me and I can't really place why.>>23803914Yeah somehow 'it's a breakout icon in the west unlike Japan' turned into 'nobody gives a shit in Japan' over the years.
>>23803908Not having the same face as the 02 does a lot for it, and the appealing colourscheme helps too.
How do you feel about Amuro Ray? I thought Amuro was a well-developed protagonist just as interesting as Char, who is a more popular character. The franchise also tends to keep him in the background nowadays. Gquux had Char running around, multiple Lalahs and Amuro doesn't make a real on-screen appearance.
>>23803602>Octopus tako tacos served with a Molson's.ngl that sounds pretty great
>>23803532I said this before but all of this is Tomino's fault
>>23803875It's more like sunrise and Bandai together. It's not tomino per say. I'll keep loving amuro and hoping he gets his pre CCA spin off where I can watch him tinker sol style.
>>23803600that dumb mexican shit is from origin.
>>23803102Pulitzer is pretty interesting on this end, because it says the Feds did their damn best to scrub any sense of newtype hackery and just keep him as the tragic war hero, because if the public ever found out about the truth of Axis Shock, there was a very good chance he could have become the next messiah figure, triumphing over the devil (in red)
Tell me how it's bad.
>>23800205I wouldn't call the desire for pacifism in Wing preformative. It makes perfect sense when you realize that by like episode 26 the entire earth sphere is in the middle of a fucking 4 way global civil war between the Gundams, Oz, the Alliance remnants, and Oz: Treize Edition. That's already after years of sporadic war between alliance nations, and the colonies.
I'm nearly done with my 30th anniversary rewatch, and one of the things I love about Wing is the theatrical nature of the dialogue. The show really feels like an Elizabethan play.
>>23786034Heero is a really bad MC.
>>23786034False advertisingShe never shows up
>>23786400>Alliance>colonies>Oz>Treize loyalist Oz>White FangI think I missed one. The show jumps between who the Wing boys are fighting alongside every few episodes. When the show tries to present deep political messages and "endless waltz of peace, war, and revolution", maybe don't try and compress what in anywhere but an unstable shithole would be years of political development into the span of a few months and expect me to take it seriously. Or more practically as a viewer, don't do it in the span of a few episodes before we move onto the next faction.>>23787567Alliance vs Colonies = 0079Oz vs Colonies = ZetaWhite Fang = ZZ/CCAThe ending arc literally revolves as "what if Amuro and Char worked together to stop Axis from falling." And the five Wing boys and their interactions between each other feels like they're a retread of the Shuffle Alliance (global cast, Heero is Japanese, Duo is American, Trowa is European, Quatre is Arab, Wufei is Chinese, Sandrock and Shenlong/Altron have obvious ethnic influences like G Gundam shit), especially Wufei's arc later in the story which really plays with the themes of G Gundam. If you watch the two shows back to back, you'll see what I mean.

Does Char deserve to be as popular as he is when he doesn't do anything?
>>23800495It's not that Char is too popular, but that Japan has failed to create another Gundam character as iconic as him. I don't know if this due to Japanese writers being failures or some other reason, but Japan should be ashamed they haven't made more iconic and popular gundam characters.
yeah Char's pretty cool
>>23801014>He is there to look pretty and spout philosophical one liners. How do I get a Char
>>23800495char is my favorite character in fiction, because basically anything positive you can think to say about him (how good of a pilot he is, how cool he is, how suave he can be, his philosophical side) is so obviously a poorly-constructed facade concealing a deeply emotionally crippled man whose narcissistic desire for blind furious vengeance, combined with his utter inability to form and maintain any sort of meaningful connection with the people who trust and love him is honestly just cosmically depressing to watch.he callously sacrifices so much and so many people to feel just as empty inside as always. i don't even know what he would do for fun, i can't imagine him reading a book or watching tv, i bet he just sits in the dark in his bunk staring at the wall. that's how broken this guy is.the one thing that anyone might say he's even somewhat competent at, piloting a mobile suit, is just an endless source of frustration. he has a corrosive effect on basically anyone he meaningfully interacts with. he never realizes what he had until after he's lost it. it just all comes off as a very raw and very human portrayal of a lot of anxieties and situations real people go through.char's a fuck up like all of us. he's a reminder that you can seemingly have it all and still squander it, or even worse, spend your life just as confused and aimless and foolish as someone who wasn't lucky enough to have any of it, and die an ignoble death hating yourself for it. i see myself in him, to some degree.

>>23796444he tells lalah he's only using her for her power, but i think it's pretty unambiguous that he did care deeply about her, even if he only realized that after she died
>>23793946>American Haman>a 22 year old childless rich woman taking care of Mineva, but pushing her into those dance/pageant shows>also lusting over a 14 year street rat named jewdoughwelp
>>23803762Char treated Lalah is not even that special from how he treated other girls later. If her child prostitute background is true, then this means Char basically rescued Lalah from one form of violence to immediately strap her into another form of violence. The woman Char acted less cruel the most in his life is Nanai, because Nanai is a strong independent woman, too intimidating compared to insecure vulnerable teenage girls
