That’s pretty good for a first go at it. I’d say hit it with some edge highlights or maybe a little drybrush and you’d be good to go.

It’s kinda hard to see in this pic but I’d also recommend giving the cockpits a lot of attention, with a color that’s contrasting your base coat that much you’ll want to make sure the edges are crisp and you have a nice jeweling effect on there since the cockpit will naturally draw a lot of eyes and stand out a lot. On something like a king crab it can be hard with all the little windows, but on most mechs you’ll have enough space to work with.

We spent about a week trudging through the countryside looking for this fucker, while our Gambian (Our only wizard mind you) spent his time in contact with the order to keep us informed. Given our more VIP status, so we weren't kept in the dark anymore regarding Potter or Hogwarts, given the warning that Hogwarts itself was big Dark Wizard territory now, and Potter had apparently gotten at least 2 Horcruxes destroyed, with only 3 supposedly left in the wild. One was with the main man himself, but the other two were supposedly hidden. We were told he usually had them in odd places over the radio we had with us, but we decided to cross that bridge when we got to it.

Finding the house wasn't a real issue, it was the huge red flags we saw. It was in the open, surrounded by grassland, and even looked like a shitty little house fit perfectly for an ambush. We were about to walk into the most obvious trap ever, and we decided that we needed an exfil strategy. Grunts that we were, we nearly caused a campaign issue when we tagged three targets approaching us as we started planning. We planned targets, got beads, then prepared to shoot, right before we were told they were Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Oops.

They don't get instantly burned up but it's not good for them all the same. They suffer Exposure during daytime which makes all Complications need an extra hit to clear, and if sunlight is touching their skin they also suffer a Minor Complication on all actions or take an injury. This is just blatantly false these days, and part of the reason why is that standard has taken a backseat to other formats. Cards rotating out of standard has had very little impact on their price, and I'd go as far as to say that mtg cards keep the most value out of all card games.

I cooked up some rules on how a class oriented on such a bodytype could work. This was all made with DnD-like systems in mind, but I think it can be run in Maiesta if you tune some general mechanics to scale with it. You can even adjust the template to a degree I personally claim would be a safe character concept to run in a degenerate free table: Provided you treat the whole "turning into an ogre" thing as a spiritual affliction. It aims to make grappler more than just a meme trait you take for your made-to-die barbarian joke character, and to complement STR/ CONST.

Class idea: The Ogre (Oni in Nippon)

Fluff (example):

Gain an advantage on strength rolls when grappling. The target can only contest this check with strength. Whilst grappling a target of equal or smaller size and having movement left: Gain the ability to push the target. If you push the target forward 10ft, they’re knocked prone. If the target is smaller than you, they become restrained instead and take damage equal to your const mod / grav (or 1d6) each turn until you move again. You may additionally attack with two handed weaponry as normal on concequent turns.

If your grapple roll is successful against a smaller target, but there is no room for forward movement: The same effect gets applied to the target until you move again. Against an equal sized target and no room for forward movement: Only the effects of a regular grapple apply.

(Think of this rule as fantasy sumo wrestling, but with no referee intervention after your foe loses the power struggle).

From my experience remotes in MZ+ (for yhose unfamiliar, remotes are basically drones in MZ+) can be very strong. They really turn the action economy in favor of the user. My favourite mech that I built so far is a quick mech with double EMWs and 2 deployable remotes with ECMs that pursue targets and hinder them, while the main unit goes in for a close range kill. They have been a menace to my players.

Nostalgia for Starcraft will be a massive part of it, the other factor will be when 40k does female space marines probably next edition or the one after and runs a good chunk of players out of the hobby. I could go Trench Crusade when that happens, sure, but I like aliens & space marines so Starcraft will check my boxes off better, and will probably do the same for a good amount of other people.
40k will be here today anon, but with the popularity of Space King there's clearly going to be a schism with the shit they try to pull in 11th or 12th- lining up another scifi game for that eventuality seems like a prudent idea to me at least.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to keep any Vietnam expedition to be a French-Spanish affair. As Spain did intervene in Cochinchina in OTL, it would make sense for the french to use the Philippines a a launching board for eventual control of Vietnam, plus the carlists would be interested in intervening in the defense of catholicism, like what happened in Đại Nam, and maybe get an entrance out of it.

It's mostly just an excuse to get the Japanese and Chinese to fight before Korea (do they even control Korea?). The Spanish can get involved too, but i very much feel the focus should be on the French and Japanese.

The Trader himself is most often out of system, roaming the stars with his fleet to accrue riches and make discoveries that helps finance things back home, otherwise the sector as a whole is sort of a split authority.

As the official partners of the trade dynasty, the Blades have the ultimate say so in the sector and no one’s arguing with space marines. They mostly deal with problems in the core worlds or on the defensive line worlds.

The region to the east is stewarded by the Order of the Cruel Angel, the sororitas element I attached from around the chapters founding (the founding chapter master was a chaplain, so they’ve always had solid ties to the church).

The west is under the jurisdiction of the Mechanicus, what with having so many forge worlds. The Nimuian Enclace moves in a thousand or so years after the chapter and agreed to assist them and supply the war machines in sector so long as any cool xenotech or STC fragments found by the trade fleet come their way.

The south is maintained mostly by naval and militarum authorities, which is why it has such a high density of fortress worlds.

And the big north sector is managed by a council of the highest lords of the biggest planets up there and their forces, along with a lot of knights and the like.
The Ordo Xenos also has a fortress run by an inquisitor in the region on the planet Salome.

Any trade dynasty that’s been around since the end of the Heresy has to know how to delegate and run a business, I wager.
