so the other night i turned on the Crunchyroll channel and bocchi the rock was airing. the audio was in Japanese but there was no option for subs or cc, so I just sat there and watched the screen for 48 minutes. It's weird how different it feels. I'm so used to having subs on the screen that I never realized I'm not actually focusing on the performances of the actors. i couldn't understand shit, besides the common throwaway lines, but I still enjoyed it. the whole experience made me think of learning Japanese, and reconsider if subs are actually superior to dubs.sorry, op, I don't know if this has anything to do with your thread.
