The game is on 1-6 scale. You make character by mashing two traits together, giving you additional stat and skills. If you combine two non-combat traits, you have exactly 2 dice for your combat rolls, in a game that's not only a dice pool, BUT you need to have 2 dice to succeed at all (while majority of combat is going to require 3 dice to roll success at all). You theoretically can rise your combat skills, but you only have 2 points FOR ALL during char-gen, so a combat-focused character is going to start with 4-5 dice pool in combat stuff, while you at BEST gonna have 4 and that assuming you don't want to get better in your own class.

It's basically Broken Compass 2e, where you gain much greater flexibility with char-gen, but still, there are two classes (Nobody and Brain) that are intentionally bad at combat, because you either play as a random civilian tangled in high-octane action or a skill money that should be sitting in lab/provide support via intercom. Unlike Broken Compass, this game has much better use of non-combat stuff in direct fights, so you can fumble/think your way out of pickle by being creative,rather than good at fighting

This is a pulp adventure game. This means you start with an archetype and if it happens to be, say, a professor or a nurse or a missionary or just a sexy lady in peril, you won't have space to waste points into combat stuff, not to mention they won't fit your initial concept
Beinng a dice pool system, where in combat, you roll Stat + Skill + Equipment, meaning you can have 1 in Dex, 0 Firearms (which applies penalty of -2) and then bring a shotgun or grab hunting rifle of the other character (so 4 dice), so your final dice pool is 3 (1-2+4), and that means you can STILL hit something and in pretty reliable way
That -2 penalty is also intentional. The assumed style of game is that during char-gen, you are making a character that (potentially) never been in the field (especially when they are non-combatant), but after surviving the first adventure, you will gain by design AT LEAST 2 points and your character faces a choice - get SOME combat training before the next expedition, or hope that this time you won't get in combat. So you use those 2 points to rise your combat skill from 0 to 1, and now your dice pool goes from 1-2+weapon to 1+1+weapon, meaning even carrying a handgun, you have now a dice pool of 4 for combat roll, meaning you AUTOMATICALLY hit basic targets
On top of it all, the game was designed with the fact someone might never want to make a combat character in the sense of a damage dealer, but you can still use OTHER, non-combat stuff during your rounds. You literally can make a diplomacy check trying to convince the other side to stop shooting, distract or outright seduce them, or come up with any of the bullshit solutions. Say, you declare that the group of hostiles is standing between easy-to-drop on them tree branch and make a Science (Biology) roll to make that happen.
There is also a series of perks that replaces base Stat with the one of your choice, so your character uses Int for Firearms or Dex for Brawl

Rangers have an Animal Companion as a Druid of half their level, meaning the cat has at most +6 bonus HD. So it could survive if Nale has only 15 HD.
Supposedly the Order were about lv7-9 when the comic started, and they're at most lv15 now.

When GW eventually pulls their heads out of their fucking assholes they need to sell plastic upgrade kits with 4-5x as many of every rare weapon and at least 3 of the 4-5 being one-handed versions.

An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

There's technically both, but the more furry ones are considered vermin races and emerge naturally out of animals with no exposure to the divine or other humanoids. The humanoid ones have varying origins, many 'natural' others less so, but I usually don't think too much about the animal bits as they aren't really meant to directly embody an intelligent form of the animals they emerge from so much as they take a cue from them here or there. The best way I can word it is that the animal bits underline how they are, rather than define it.
