I've been playing games for almost two decades now and people who pump Charisma are consistently the most useless faggots in every party. And this remained true even during the very few times I have attempted it myself.I have no choice but to arrive at the conclusion that Charisma and every one of its iterations across every fucking game ever is just genuinely useless placebo dog shit. And when pressed to justify their investment charismafaggots always ramble about how good it is in real life as if that has any fucking bearing at all on TTRPGs.Besides, it's not that good in real life either. Actors and performers were considered on the same level as prostitutes in status for most of history.
>>97328828World of Darkness - Vampire has some powers that utilize Charisma for consistet (if you pass the difficulty roll) tangible effect. But yeah, anything "at GM's/Storyteller's discretion" is usually garbage.

>>97308068>And then we just talked the NPC out of an exciting resolution! There's a very obvious reason why nobody at the table would want this. Therefore Charisma is rightfully shat upon.

>>97334291The Lasombra were openly Catholic and had this interpretation of Catholic theology that vampires were created by God to torture sinners to repentance on earth so they wouldn't go to hell. Also they took over Rome from the Ventrue and took over Spain as well after the Assamites got kicked out and backed early incarnations of the Inquisition (before the Church turned on them...).The Ventrue were fucking around with the HRE and trying to kick the Lasombra out of Spain. They were pretty much the same politicking assholes they were in the modern nights. Some of them were big into unironic chivalry tho (some of those ones ended up antitribu later).
>>97334396Lasombra Inquisition sounds based as a concept.
>>97334396>kick the Lasombra out of SpainOut of Italy, I mean.>>97334486Yeah there was at one time (bit before Dark Ages proper, mostly, though a handful survived to the modern nights) a Muslim branch of the Lasombra. The majority (Catholic) branch of the clan covertly started proto-Inquisition groups and helped support the early Spanish vampire hunters as part of their plan to purge the Muslims from their ranks. Which then massively backfired on them later.
Are interspecies pairings allowed in your game?
>>97332011Yes. However, interspecies copulation doesn't result in impregnation, as the different species aren't compatible...unless the couple has been married, with their union blessed in the name of the goddess of love and marriage. That blessing consecrates their union and the seed and egg are magically made compatible, producing a child of the mother's species. In practice, this incentivizes interspecies pairings among adolescents, soldiers, and other individuals who have reason to avoid wanting children. However, if the would-be father comes from a noble or otherwise high-status family, he might be pressured by his family to find a wife of the same species so that the heirs to their title or status aren't suddenly seven-foot-tall coal-black deer people.

That C&C campaign was a lot of fun. The “season 1” finished, may return at some point but not for a while. Next campaign is Dark Heresy. I have a plan involving a crazy Inquisitor harnessing demons to try and control Tyranids (extreme heresy!). That inquisitor is of course the party’s. I won’t go into more detail because it’s not /todd/ related. You still here Gollum?

>>97334392Not really. The average Armageddon level super without one of few specific powers is not comparable to a nuke in destructive power, at least not unless they are given a week or two, and that's assuming no resistance forces.Only the Armageddon+ level supers like us or those with one of few specific powers can be called living nukes. The very large scale destructive powers: Speed, Telekinesis, Nature (need preparation, can be stopped by lower power level beings), Inner Power, Summoning (same as Nature, but worse), Planar, Chaos. Almost all hyper powers.

>>97333979>"science" reviewsEh, I use that terminology to describe my own process, I'm not saying that people should go CinemaSins mode on me. But I did study for an artistic field so I've had to engage a lot with what makes a story good or bad in a more critical sense, so I try to be critical with my own work and usually, in my experience, other people (even laymen) give better criticisms to your stuff than you ever could criticise your own work in hindsight. I think what I'd like to see is if people think my dialogue makes sense (sometimes I've heard that my conversations can go pretty long) or if the actions that characters do make sense or are congruent with their previous characterisation. But hey, if no one points that stuff out, I must be doing those things well?>>97333996What was your last writefag, anon? I can try to give you my honest thoughts :)
>>97334027>what makes a story good or bad in a more critical sense,Personally I don't care about any of that. I think writing and reading these stories is a lot more subjective. More based on fun and vibes than technical competence.>what I'd like to see is if people think my dialogue makes sense (sometimes I've heard that my conversations can go pretty long) or if the actions that characters do make sense or are congruent with their previous characterisation. The main problem with that is that because of the nature of this place, you will get fragmented feedback most of the time. Anons tend to give feed back only on their character.>But hey, if no one points that stuff out, I must be doing those things well?Generally yes. I think anyone would tell you if there were any glaring errors. I didn't read much of your stuff I think, but what I read was good.

Is Leviamon still good?
I'm tired so my deck building decisions get a bit weird this close to bed time but I'd like an opinion on something.Mastertyrannomon and Dinomon both have Fortitude so using Rowdy Rocker can let Fortitude activate again theoretically. I'm just unsure whether it's worth putting in or not because there is that Tyranno picture green option card which gives +5000DP, Rush and "then attack an opponent's digimon".I can see use cases for both options since they both vibe with Fortitude but I'm not confident in my assessment as aforementioned.

>>97333991>they didnt add the assassin class to 2eHave you not been glued to 4chan for the past couple of years? It can't have been all that long since I last saw it corrected. Assassins and monks were added back to 2e, very late, 1999, but they were there. Substantially similar to their 1e counterparts though with changes to reflect various differences in game rules. For example, in 1e a third level assassin's thief skills are like those of a first level thief. In 2e the assassin gets 20 points to allocate on thief skills at first through third levels, then gets the same 30 points per level as a thief. This means the third level 2e assassin has 60 points, the same as a second level thief.Bit of an oversight by Gary to not say what happens with a first or second level assassin. In case you've forgotten, they use thief skills but at equal to a thief two levels below their assassin level. Either they can't use thief skills because level 0 or -1 doesn't exist, they use thief 1 skills, or even just people to extrapolate backwards. The extrapolation isn't hard as most of the skills have a common difference for the first few levels. Odd in a way that a guy who liked to write too much missed it out.I haven't played an assassin. How have people handled thief skills for low level assassins?
