I know I'm preaching to the choir and there's definitely anons ITT who are much worse off (plus a lot of this is progressing past being a NEET) but fuck I miss being able to be like Haruhi. To be naturally emboldened and excited about everything I loved, to look forward to the future even when the chips were stacked against me because I just didn't give a fuck, to always have it in me to try, to not have to manually snap myself out of moping for hours, to not have to psych myself up to get myself to do things that make me happy...I know that Haruhi is by design the epitome of being young and passionate, but being a zoomer I'm still young myself! What switch was flipped that made me go from puffing up my chest in the face of bullshit to being paralyzed from it? I suppose a little is left because I know it'll get far worse and I'm okay with that because if I've been able to scrape by now I'll be able to then, but I used to be able to do much more than just scrape by. Spending all day watching movies and shows when I have the day off is now an accomplishment for me because I have such a mental block against being happy that I'll stare at the wall for hours and then jack off for twice the duration to feel some kind of love and comfort. I'm not depressed, I'm just not very adpet at living and I don't know what happened because I used to be.
