if you're making a whole table, alibaba might be an even better option. I do find it advantageous to have a sharp nipper to cut the flash from the plastic plants. While you don't need to do it perfectly, it's nice to make things go faster and easier.

I got bits of very thick corrugated cardboard from a friend after he moved and turned them into containers.
The branding and technical details on it were designed by myself and printed on decal paper.
The results is still a bit of a mixed bag:
>The larger decals broke down during transfer. So I had to cover some of the containers in rust, to hide the defects.
>Even after spraying varnish over them, you can still see the transparent part of the decal. I don't know how I could improve this.

Yeah, Its not insanely malevolent but its still a bit of a dick move. I think its a good character moment though potentially. helping even if a mild slight was done to you.

Followup to having your OC raped by bandits in my game a couple weeks ago:
The girls got found and freed by the rogue who convinced them they'd have to help fight if they wanted to escape.
A couple of the sturdier ones survived but Arrianne was skewered p much immediately as they bust out and then kicked into the big central firepit to dislodge her from the spear. It did really well in selling the brutality and derangement of the Mountain King's Wildmen to the party.

In Living Force the Jedi are noted to openly criticise and reprimand those of their order who "steal" children, and the main guy who used to do it, Sifo-Dyas, was removed from his job plus the entire Council had very little good to say about his antics.

There was also a book focused partially on Dooku, where there was a Jedi Master on the Council who was actually in charge of recruitment for the entire Order. She went and got herself knocked up on mission, had the child, then brought the kid in for training and said she "found" it. When the Jedi found out she'd had the child, they removed her from the Council and took her recruitment job away. They didn't kick her out, they just gave her a (still very senior) job in the Archives and library and told her to think about what she'd done and why. Yoda even said bluntly that if she had just asked for help, it would have been offered. They didn't kick out the child, the kid in their eyes did nothing wrong. The thing the mother did wrong was lying about where she got the kid and compromising their recruitment methods.

The Jedi seem, based on those two examples, to be very, very cautious and careful about when and how they take children. Even the hint of a Jedi being anything less than up front and above board puts a long-term stink on the Jedi in question from the rest of the Order.

The writers *intended* to present the Jedi as villains, but were so incompetent they *actually* depicted them as completely justified to any rational, sane observer. a good chunk of these are in almost-complete state or just trying to get final approval vote and are as polished as the approved lists. but they're still subject to revision.
because stability of existing lists is so protected, when players want new toys it usually means spinning off a new list that features those things. that means epic lists tend to be much more specific about what they represent. instead of playing a "imperial guard" list or a "tau" list, you'll be running a Steel Legion During The 3rd Armageddon War list or a Farsight Expedition list.

it's more tightly focused on rebalancing for tournament results, so the lists tend to be a little more restrictive. but the baseline points calcs are all the same at NetEA stuff, and a lot of tournaments freely allow lists from both.

Most shops around me don't host weekly tournaments for mtg anymore. They have commander night and do pre-release, and that's pretty much it. Contrast this to when I played (pre-covid), where you could find a firing event for every format except vintage at least once a week during the week and once on weekends.

Part of it is Arena, part of it is the ridiculously packed release schedule, but ultimately Wotc has said for years their main customers aren't those who play frequently and competitively, so it makes sense they'd eventually cater to their main customers.

I've been thinking a lot about the red economy but I'm not sure if I actually posted anything. Going Metal makes borging seem easy and gives an idea of what the actual 2045 economy is like. There are enough FBCs in Night City to have developed their own culture since 2020 (when FBC was just gear, now it's Harley Davidson), and some boosterganger boss is able to casually drop 30,000eb to get an FBC. Also Gemini and Alphas (aka skinless Gemini) are considered expensive (the 100eb price category despite being x100 that) so anyone can source one without paying a fixer (but it's interesting that the biopod essentially costs 12,000eb and always requires a mega fixer/midnight market). Perhaps this random party gonk is a hardened boss because they get unlimited cyberware funding (according to Danger Gal NPC guide). Also the Gemini's lore has them being so ubiquitous that many FBC just add them to their collections, implying a closet of FBC that could cost dozens of Fort Knox level runs (but again in the core rulebook a 2000eb job is called a suicide run but quite a few of the bunny slope jobs in TotR pay that much).

Red in 2045 seems more like Fallout New Vegas (I haven't played anything past that) where people have money but nobody wants to spend it on infrastructure so you have power armor goons, a clinic that can implant cyberware, robot armies, random wasteland junkies with military grade laser weapons... But not one paved road.

tl;dr I think the gutterpunk angle Mike wanted was quickly scraped when he left. It's really hard to keep using it as a frame of reference when everything else in the lore contradicts it.

If you're the ref, you can homebrew payouts and progression to boost your players to whatever level you want. If you're doing high-level fixer gigs from big-name corpos, maybe they don't mind dropping 20k eddies spread between a group of 4 or 5 runners. You do a 4 or 5 gigs for them a month, and a single player is sitting on a nice pay package when they close all those gigs.
