I'm trying to get my forearms bigger and particularly focus on my grip strength but preferably exercises that do both, so what are some exercises I can add
4 replies omitted. Click here to view.

Doing both forearm size and grip simultaneously has already been mentioned above so I'll focus on just grip if you really want to isolate.
1) Pinch exercises: just pinch various flat objects like a bumper plate (preferably something heavier) and lift them straight up and down (keeping the weight and your hand perpendicular to the ground).
2) Crush grip: those grip strength trainers - that's what they're for.
3) Hold/carry: farmer's walk
When you're doing any of the other lifts other anons suggested, you could also wrap a towel around the bar for added difficulty. If you want to spend money, those Fat Gripz do actually work well, but I think most people will be just fine with the towel trick.

I already do the reverse(overhand) curls and wrist curls but they don't seem like they do anything for me. I do 3x8-12 for 110lbs in both.
>>76940861
Thank you
>>76940855
I already do them but they don't seem to be enough my grip on a dynanometer is only 126lbs
>>
>>76940861
I've noticed that when I do rows, my grip fails 5-6 reps before my back does. My dad's got some of those grip trainers - will they help with stamina, or just grip tightness/strength?

Dead hangs. Load them once you get decent time. Other than that, what >>76940861 already mentioned. I found pic rel work quite well too. Either hang from them or attach them to some plates and lift them.

I just completed a month of maxing out every day, plus accessories. My CNS was fine, mental drive stayed strong throughout. It was my joints that were objecting. CNS is a myth.

Sleep has been solved a long time ago

>make room dark, quiet, cold
>don't eat 5 hours before bed
>turn off screens 30 min before sleep time
>do some breathing technique to lower heart rate and cortisol
>take melatonin, magnesium, glycine

If you do this you should get at least 80 sleep score every night.
>>
>>76939405
Based and 1rm pilled
>>
>>76939237
start with magnesium bisglycinate
start vitamin d3 maxxin or getting sun in eyes as soon as you wake up to reset circadian rhytm
also remove blue screens 3 hours before sleep
>>
>>76939806
>magnesium bisglycinate
That actually kills my sleep (makes me wake up at 3 a.m. and not be able to fall back asleep). Magnesium Carbonate works fine for me. You have to be careful, depending on genetics the Glycin may be bad for you.

A young woman said I look like Spiderverse Spiderman, the one that's a dad.
I don't know if that's a mire or not.

Mires have dropped off like crazy after the summer time. Not sure why. Here's what's of my mire diary, my miary if you will.

Truth is, you got too real. Sometimes women just want you to be a hot fantasy that doesn’t actually have a brain. Men are the same way, sometimes. Personality distracts from the horny unless you’re already deeply in love and have gone through the lust / love merging process

>Muh zoomies
Retard, the older ones (about half) didn't grow up in the social media era. Only phone i had as a kid was a nokia blockia i sometimes played snake on.
I'm starting to think millennials are REALLY hung up about their age. Hence why they think zoomers are like 10 years younger than they actually are. They want to believe zoomies are eternally young, because if they aren't, it means they themselves are OLD. Never mind the irony of you and other millennials routinely posting on söycial media. For example, is Kike Israetel a zoomer? A lot of the bigger lifting channels are run by millennials with a söyllennial audience.
I also see plenty of people with salt and pepper hair wasting their time on Instagram or Twitter or even this site. Face it, you're fucking old as shit.

You are correct. Common Filth has archives of bodybuliding f*ggotry & Arnold was definitely a homo.

Is this body type achievable natty with calisthenics?
>>
A year and a half assuming you diet and everything is dialled in
>>
>>76940605
Yes if you do it 5x week. So do it. Dude.
>>
Training alone will not get you there if your diet isn't good. If it is, this isn't too hard to achieve depending on where you start from
>>
>>76940605
Yes. Easily and more.
In my first few months of calisthenics I cut hard and gained a better than normie tier physique and mogged.
Be strict with your diet and enjoy the newbie gains.

So I'm new at the gym and I'm a skinny white guy. I don't need to lose fat but I would like to gain muscle. Protein powders are expensive. I love cottage cheese and it's super cheap. Seems quickly digestible also. Is there any reason to not eat cottage cheese as a post workout protein snack in place of expensive protein powders?
>>
>>76940889
No. It's casein which is also sold as powder.

Even though he was much smaller, if he had better cardio, I think he couldve done better. Jake is lowkey a better "boxer". In the earlier rounds he was doing amazing at dodging AJs punches. Good headmovement. Even landed more hits in the earlier rounds. If he had better cardio he couldve kept that up and won on rounds.

If he was heavier/bulked up for this, i'd imagine his cardio would be worse.

Man, the amount of doom and gloomposting here saddens me. I think what this board needs is a bit of optimism. Post about things that happened in your fitness journey that made you happy, laugh, or improve. Can be as big as winning a sport match or as small as losing a few pounds

Thank you for the advice. I'm not nasty in any capacity, i'm, tall, lean and muscular, have a full head of hair, groom myself, dress well, have an okay face, not autstic, even somewhat extroverted.
But i am not going to use apps and start going on dates with "anything that breathes", i'm Catholic and wouldn't feel comfortable entering a relationship knowing it's not serious.

a big thing most guys on here don't realize is you need to actually go places. I always have girls staring at me in the gym but it never goes anywhere just due to them immediately putting up a bitch shield. Fucked me up and I thought I was just ugly.

FF to getting into flag football just to play some sports. I wasn't even going for girls but the sheer amount of positive female interaction is astounding outside of the gym. It's like in the gym for girls it's a no go zone on ANYONE that they don't deem 'threatening,' in terms of them dating.

what's the point in working out more than twice per week. isn't hitting the same exercise twice per week enough to stimulate progress? like, just do a full body routine twice per week and you could use all that other energy for something else like not being an autistic neet

Iirc they've shown that gains can be at least maintained on 1 session every 2 weeks
I think that's probably especially true if you're using that time you save to do an athletic sport instead, so you're not just wasting away between sessions, but you're not blunting the gains stimulus either, but idk
I like this article for discussing training frequency for ordinary people
https://www.painscience.com/articles/strength-training-frequency.php
Basically just try it, hard enough for a long enough period of time to really see, and then report your results
>>
>>76939296
The way I see it, there's the variable trifecta of frequency, volume and intensity. The more you want to increase one variable the more you have to reduce the other two. So the key is to get a balance of all three in a schedule that is actually doable to you.
>>
>>76939503
It's one of the few things where the studies and actual coaching agree. So don't come at me with this "fuck science" bs when you don't know what the science is or what the reputable coaching recommendations are. Also you're retarded frequency is how often you're hitting a muscle not how many time you work out. PPL is x2 frequency UL is x2 frequency. Fullbody every 3rd day 2.33 fullbody every 4th day is 1.75
>>
>>76940278
>Iirc they've shown that gains can be at least maintained on 1 session every 2 weeks
That's been my experience. I figure once every ten days is safest. I only train the big lifts though. I've always wondered how guys who do three dozen different exercises maintain when they need a break.
>>
>>76939296
It really depends what you do all day

If you have a manual work that make you move your body, two full body 1hour sessions are OK to be in good health and and ok-tier fit

If you have a sit-at-desk job and you do 10 steps a day, two full body sessions are not enough to just survive 5 years without losing your low back or knees
