From 1346 to 1353, the poleaxe killed as many as 50 million Europeans, perhaps 50% of Europe's 14th-century population. As a result, the phrase “Fürchte den langen Esel!” (fear the longdonkey) replaced “aye” as the prevailing method of casting votes by electors within the Holy Roman Empire.

To be fair, they did get in a lot of urban fighting where "knock down that building in one shot" wasn't the worst idea in the world.

Wittmann was merely a poster boy of the waffen ss, who desperately needed a war hero to compete with the regular heer. His reckless nature, as shown in Villers Bocage was more of a hindrance to his unit to be considered anything but elite. There’re better german tank aces than this guy.

If it's BLM land then yes, you can do that. Private land if by permission of the owner.
CA has by far the largest population out of any state but it is incredibly concentrated around LA, SF and Sacramento to a lesser extent. Most of the state is very sparsely populated and in excellent natural condition.
>>65035323
The Sierra Nevadas are nearly impassable under normal conditions for almost 1/4 of the year, and the Coastal Range can be plenty treacherous if underestimated. One of the most dangerous highways in the country (CA-17) runs between San Jose and Santa Cruz. California also features multiple military facilities and depots from coastal ports to inland strategic air bases.

Not to mention anybody attacking would have to get past the US Navy, which is virtually impossible.
>>65037337
True, but the Central Valley and Imperial Valley make for some of the best farmland in the world. The climate is also exceptionally wonderful around the north/middle/western portions of the state (Redding,CV, Bay Area, SLO). The place has a lot going for it.

Really it's a political problem where the state needs to be broken up but that'll never happen.
>>65038256
Nah, fuck that. I got out and only regret not doing it sooner. Would have owned a massive house by now if I did.
CA has a lot of things going for it and not every human living there is insufferable, but there are other nice parts of America as well and I can afford to live there as well.

It's just the cost man. Why spend $600 on a mid-ass plate that sidegrades 20 year LTCs from boomerproofme when you can spend $800 and get plates that mog?
I actually think $600 could get you a set of REV.G ESAPIs on a really good day... and today is a good day! if you're four foot five...
https://tacswap.com/post/69cc8f95e7c2a14bb5702273
Anyways, morale of the story is that you shouldn't waste 75% of the cash to get 50% of the performance. You get what you pay for... most of the time. Granted the 4601 isn't exactly a super awesome plate either. ESAPIs REV. G and up kill it when backed by soft armor. It's a turbomurder versus the new GEN-IV ESAPI. If you have the scratch the $1280/set Adept Colossus has the 4601 on the ropes. I could go on.

I haven't seen one in a good while. I'm seriously thinking about buying an AUG soon so I'd like some advice.

I know there's both 5.56 and .300 blackout variants to choose from and I'm leaning towards the .300 and just using supersonic ammunition. AUGs are notable for being poor suppressor hosts anyways, right? Plus, prices for supersonic .300 aren't that bad according to AmmoSeek when compared to 75/77gr 5.56 which I already buy. Plus if I ever change my mind about .300 I could just buy a 5.56 barrel.

Lunartech makes one of these which is close enough for me. I also got mine in a 20" variant over the 16", which both looks better and has a different safety angle that I found easier to use.

Oh I must've been out of the loop for a while I didn't know they offered the 20" now. I have the rdb now and I'm happy with it but I'd love to handle a hellion with those mods to see if I like it more with that

If you give it out don't cry when you get it back

India is indebted to Russia (USSR) for
>fucking stinking amerifats off when they supplied stinking pakis arms to genocide millions of Bengalis in what became a liberated Bangladesh by surrounding the aircraft carrier you were scooting over with their subs ready to sink amerishits
India signed the security pact with USSR AFTER amerifats sucked off pakis in 65 and 71. And yes amerifats were in alliance with pakis - google SEATO. They are still a favoured non-NATO ally. Western hypocrisy at it's finest

>muh French
>muh Russia
Everything you accuse them of amerifats have been worse. When that's pointed out (repeatedly) you whinge "whataboutism"
>muh selling to China
Which country built them up economically and has the biggest trade with? Why didn't amerifats stop themselves instead of crying about others?

Again, nothing itt has shown tbe French to be any different to yanks or brits in military sales

The ironic thing is both India and France are trying to screw each other in their dealings with one another.

It's likely when Germany leaves FCAS and france needs to find a new funding partner they'll likely turn to India and offer full technology transfer (with the understanding India will take 10-20+ years to actually make anything france gives them). India will be trying to steal IP/knowhow, France will be trying to slow roll the tech transfer and local india production line.

In the end it'll probably result in India getting pissed at france in 10 years when they've spent $10-20B and are still 5-10 years away from a jet and 15-20 years away from that jet being built in india.

The end result will be India has gained IP it can't fully understand or use/build at scale

France will have an 80% complete jet with no funding left to actually finish it and total orders so low that the per-unit costs will be astronomical, killing any potential export sales, which just makes the production scale even harder to manage.

isn't canada joining this one too? If so, it's doomed
>>
>>65045961
Canada is joining as an observer, they're not involved in any further way beyond that.

Really it's just a way for canada to get access to classified testing data that isn't available to non-observing members. They're probably kept more abreast of the program timeline, and they'd be one of the first nations they come to talk to about export orders.
>>
>>65045979
Given Canada’s plane procurement woes I think they’ll observe the price tag before doing a 360 and walking away. In the ideal scenario I doubt they get the unit cost below $150 million, and realistically I could see it going higher.
>>
>>64997553
when you look at this shit you have to understand that the british government is deliberately burning vast sums of money on destructive bullshit (immigrants, green energy) for the sole purpose of completely destroying the economy in order that the country can no longer survive independently, forcing it back into the eu as a vassal state.

that's when it all becomes clear.
>>
>>65046020
Realistically I don't see anything below $200M as even possible.

Even if GCAPs scale breaks 500 airframe orders in the first decade. It'll still be $200M+.

They'll be lucky to bring it below $250M.
