Could it work in a /tg/ context? Say you used the Damaging Objects rules from the d20 System.
If your campaign involved blowing up buildings frequently enough that you can't just GM handwave it, then determining "Hitpoints" for buildings based on material, construction quality and such is perfectly doable.But it adds another level of autism to the crunch, and lots of games are complex enough already.Battletech had building destruction rules in Total Warfare, but they are fairly simple and abstracted so as to not bloat the already fairly crunchy mech fight centric ruleset.

The big gimmick of the red faction games is environmental destruction which ports poorly to tabletop because environmental destruction was never a limitation in this format.

Regal was put over the Diabolic for the brighter parts while still keeping some Diabolic underneath to create that transition in color. Talisman was glazed over the Regal for the areas I wanted to work towards brighter. I ever so carefully glazed/stippled in the Neptune. Data is one of their effects and the new AP effects seem pretty forgiving so if you only add a little bit of water on the palette you can then glaze 2-4 times from the darker area into the brightest part and it will start glowing pretty well.Diabolic base for skin, glazed over with Emerald and an even thinner glaze of Electric since its pretty brightThis guy works a lot in his latest videos with AP so if you want a comprehensive overview of some of the better vibrant colors to pick from AP then check him out, he's also obviously much much much better than me so that'll help out too: https://www.youtube.com/@heresyforheretics/videos

Privateer Press may have lost, but Warmachine players won.
