Are egg boilers worth it?

I like boiled eggs in the morning, but making them the traditional way on the stove takes too long and making them the day before isn't as good as a freshly boiled one and I'm usually in a hurry.

You miss an important thing anon.
Water has internal resistance to being heated.
Microwave overcome that.
You can test it yourself, just put 1L of 25 C water in both and calculate how long it needs to reach 100 C

People have done this, I think even Technology Connections did it once.
The electric kettle was always faster.

Sounds really useful but I lack space to put things.

Who cares, just google it and you find different people doing that experiment.

Or this:

The kettle is faster and more efficient.

This must be a british thing. I live in the US, and I've never gotten them for free. IT's rare to see them on the menu, even.
We get almond cookies with our check in a restaurant, or most commonly, we get a good giant handful of fortune cookies which are individually wrapped, so especially with takeout orders.
We always get fried won tons at our table for garnishing soup or just enjoying with our hot tea while waiting for our dinner. Those are ordered (not free) when doing takeout.
>>
>>21777796
Decent texture. Mid flavor.
I think I'd go for a bag of doritos instead.
>>
>>21779838
I live in America but, again, in practically in Indonesia here. Lotsa Javanese folks and many opened Chinese restaurants so shrimp chips are common with your takeout. I've heard about the almond cookies but I've never seen them here

Nah that would be you getting hit by a train while eating a hot dog.

Every single one of these sucks compared to its frozen or canned equivalent. I'd rather eat an MRE than a Compleats, because at least I get to pretend I'm a soldier.
>>
>>21781897
Most of them have no canned equivalent which is why it is like it is.
Frozen stuff you can only buy as much of as fits in a freezer. High-pressure pasteurized stuff you can bulk buy at a discount and microwave whenever you fancy a bit of chicken alfredo or whatever.
>>
>>21781897
>>21781922
Compleats is better than the bottom tier frozen meals (Banquet/Marie Callender/Boston Market), but you need endure the high sodium.
>>
>>21781994
The sodium is bad but better than most canned foods actually, and some frozen foods.
Mixing in some peas or corn helps though you need to dump them into an actual bowl after heating first.

As wagecuck with no time for proper breakfast.
I just make a sandwich the night before and eat it at work.
But now I need to stay over at work, so I need dinner and next day breakfast.
What are some good lunch box tips and ideas?
I don't trust my co-worker or the fridge sanitation so things that can last 24 hours outside fridge preferably.

resting
had a turbo with this earlier.
not bad. not dialed in yet tho.
but i assume im not far off as the taste was as subtle as the smell of the beans.
im thinking about doing water next year.
my tap water is very good already but we'll see how much difference there is.

No you don't. You just want to fit in with other addicts. Food addiction can be serviced with soylent or even cheaper unseasoned rice, beans, and a multivitamin. You just want to feel special.
>>
>>21781386
Honestly the only change I've made in the last 10+ years is start using filters in my portafilter a couple years ago and upgrading my roaster 3 or 4 years ago.
Everything else is still the same. Same kettle, same espresso machine, same grinders, same brewers. I'm still perfectly happy with all my old gear. I do need to get some new burrs for my espresso grinder soon though.

i started experimenting with freezing coffee last year. froze a bunch of coffee last december, all exactly two weeks off roast, and they've been in a deep freezer, untouched since. going to cup them sometime next week. curious to see how well they've held up. unfortunately only kept control samples for about half of them

Legendary
>>

>Could you teach us how to eat correctly?
Sure. Instead of dipping your pizza, which seems likely to drip, will leave leftover wasted dipping sauce, and can only ever be maximum sauce to pizza ratio, you instead treat it as a pizza topping (the way additional ingredients are meat to be added to pizza), which adds zero difficulty to eating, allows you to adjust the ratio of sauce to pizza to your liking, and will ensure that every drop of sauce is consumed.
It literally makes zero sense to dip your pizza in something that can be poured onto it, and i can only assume that one must be profoundly idiotic to not realize this.
>>
>>21781900
Snobs be like ugh, this is so difficult to eat, what even is a dip and how do I use it??
Waiter please decide for me exactly how much I want and apply it as a paste.

>italian oil and vinegar dip
>garlic alfredo (milk thickened with roux though, not the heavy cream version)
>garlic butter or olive oil with garlic
when i made pizza at home and felt like doing a little more i would usually make one of these for my pizza to dip. i would dip the crusts but sometimes other bites too. it was good. i don't really like pizza with tomato sauce as much though which might be why i liked it more.
